****CHAPTER ONE****
As I pulled into the driveway I
looked
in my rear-view mirror to make sure Elena
pulled in after me. I saw her green Eclipse
pull in and park. I looked over at Christina,
who sat in the passanger seat, and smiled. We
undid our seat belts and jumped out of my
black Beetle Bug. We walked behind the the
car and meet up with Elena who was acompanied
by Laura. All four of us looked up at our
new, beutiful Orlando-based home.
Okay, hold up! Let's stop the story
right there so I can explain. I am Gina
Affatato. The other three cool chicks are my
best friends, Elena Sicilia, Laura
DiMarcantonio, and Christina Ziccardi. We
have been friends for about six years.
Elena is 24, the oldest, and mature
one. Even though she may be mature she still
is silly and will make you crack up.
Everything that comes out of her mouth is
silly.
Laura is 19 and Christina is 22.
Laura is my favorite person to bust on. Don't
think I am being mean, she will do it right
back. Of course out of love. If we are not
busting on eachother then we are probably
laughing about something. She is so funny.
Christina is so sweet and always has
a bright side to things. She seems to be
always happy. She also has some jokes up her
sleeves.
Then there is me. I am 20. I guess
you can say I am the crazy gitty one. I get
way to excited about the littlest things. But
I am also very sensitive and would cry at the
drop of a hat.
Like I said, we have been friends foor
about six years now. We are all from
Philadelphia Pa. But I didn't always live
there. I grew up in Florida. Freshman year of
highschool I moved to Philly. Of course
that's were I met my girls. After highschool
we all decided we wanted to be dancers. Thats
where moving to Florida ties in. See, before
I moved to Philly I used to be best friends
with Nick Carter. Yes, Nick Carter of the
Backstreet Boys. Then me and my family
moved, and Nick went on with being very
successful in the
Backstreet Boys. But through alll those years
we kept in touch. We would make sure we
called eachother once or twice a month. I
never met any of the other guys, only talked
to them on the phone. Well Nick gave me a
call last month saying they needed dancers
for
their U.S. tour. Their coreographer, Fatima
Robenson, was in Philly that month and said
she would
check us out. Well, she must of liked us
cause here we are, standing infront of our
new Florida
house. Elena's uncle works in Real Estate
here in Florida and he helped us find this
awesome house. Two weeks earlier he had
people come by and rearrange furniture for
us, no charge which is totally cool.
Alright, now we can get back to the
story. I hope I didn't explain things to
fast.
I pulled the key out of my pocket and
stuck it in the door. I pushed open the door
and we all steped in. It was gorgeous. As
soon as we were in we started to look around.
The living room was done in mostly white.
White sofa, white rug, white coffie table and
a huge white entertainment system.
The kitchen was black and white. It
had an island in the middle with four stools
around it for sitting. The counter was done
in beutiful black marble. Laura walked over
to the fridge and opened it. Then she slammed
it shut. "Well I guess we have to supply the
food." I just shruged my shoulders. "No big
deal. I'll go to the supermarket later." We
all then walked out of the kitchen and across
the living room to a closed door. Christina
turned the knob and swung it open. The room
was empty. It was a large room so we decided
to make it our excersie room where we can
work out and also practice our dance moves.
Then we made our way up the steps and
we all picked out our rooms. We gave Elena
the biggest one because it was her uncle who
got us this fantastic house. After we decided
who would go where and that we had three
bathrooms, one downstairs and two upstairs,
we got our bags out the car and started to
unpack. When I was all finished fixing my
room the way I wanted and finshed puting all
my clothes and things away I sat down on my
bed and looked around. I noticed my photo
album on the floor and I stretched over to
pick it up. I started flipping through the
pages and seeing how much me and the girls
have changed and grew over six years. When I
got
to the last page something that was tucked
behind fell out. It was a picture of me and
Nick. I examined it a bit, trying to remember
that day. Then it hit me, this was the day I
was
leaving for Philly. That was also the first
day I saw Nick cry. I remember telling him a
million times that we won't loose touch and
that he will always be my best friend. I am
so glad I didn't break that promise. I
couldn't wait to see him for the first time
in six years. Just then Laura came in my door
with a huge smile on her face. "Hey Gina,
there is a cute blonde down stairs sitting on
our sofa asking about ya!" A huge smile
spread across my face and I got up and ran
down the steps.
