  • ****CHAPTER 12****
  • **LAURA'S PERSPECTIVE**
  • The weeks went very quick. Soon we were back in Orlando doing the last show of the tour. We were all very sad that it was over, yet we were also glad to be off the road. The show went great and the crowd was awesome. The next morning the phone rang around 9:00, waking me up. I picked it up. "Hello?" "Hey you, glad to be home?" My eyes grew wide. "Justin! How are ya?" I could tell he was smiling. "I'm good. I'll be comin' by around 11:00. I thought maybe we could go to lunch or something." I smiled. "I'd love to. Don't be a minute late." I said good-bye and hung up the phone. I jumped out of bed to get a shower. At 10:45 the door bell rang. "Wow, he is early." I walked to the door to open it. Nick stood there. He smiled when he saw me. "Hey Laura." I smiled. "Hi Nick. Christina is in the shower. The other girls are still sleeping. They were really tired." He stepped in the door. We walked over to the sofa and sat down.
  • I picked up my purse on the coffee table and got out my chapstick. He smiled. "You planning on kissing someone any time soon?" I smiled. "Yes actually. Justin is coming by in like 10 minutes and we are going to lunch." He leaned back and put is arm up on the back of the sofa. "Oh, I see." I pulled out a hair tie out of my purse and handed it to Nick. "Will you hold this while I put my hair up?" He nodded and took it from me. When I was ready I put out my hand so he could hand it to me. As our hands touched it gave me a shiver up my back. All of a sudden our eyes locked and he pulled me closer. I let the hair I was holding in my hand go. He moved his face to mine and kissed me. The funny thing is that I didn't pull away, I kissed him right back. Just then the door bell rang. I pulled away and got up quickly. "Um...that's um...uh, oh Justin. I um..I gotta go." I opened the door and quickly stepped out.
  • After spending the day with Justin, he drove me home. We pulled up infront of the house. He put the car in park and looked over at me. "Is everything okay? Your head has been in the clouds all day." I gave him a fake smile. "Everything is fine. Just tired. I'm sorry that I haven't been fun today. I am so happy to be home and to be with you." I gave him a quick kiss and told him I would call him later. I jumped out of the car. He pulled away as I walked to the door. When I got inside I ran up to Gina's room. She was sitting on her bed talking on the phone. She smiled as I stepped in. "Okay. We'll I'm glad you had fun. Okay, I love ya to. Bye." She hung up the phone. "That was my brother. Him and Erin just got back from their honeymoon in the Bahamas." I smiled. "That's cool." I sighed. "Um...I need to talk to you." Her smile quickly faded. "What's wrong?" I shook my head. "Nothing about you, don't worry. It's about Nick." She sighed. "Oh okay, well what about Nick?" I moved my eyes from her to the floor. "I..um..we..um, this morning we kinda kissed." Her eyes grew wide. "You kissed? Like what kind of kiss, total making out or 'come here grandma so I can kiss you' kiss?" I giggled a little. "No neither, just a short but soft kiss. I didn't really talk to him about it cause Justin showed up and I ran out the door." She sighed. "You have to talk to him about it." She handed me the phone. "Here, call him." I took the phone from her. She got up off the bed. "I'll give you privacy."
  • I slowly dialed his number. After two rings he picked up. "Hello?" "Um, hey Nick." He paused for a second. "Laura, hey. What's up?" I sighed. "We really need to talk." He cleared his throught. "Um if it's about the kiss, look that was a mistake." I sighed. "Yeah, I know. I think we just got caught up in the moment. But it meant nothing right?" He agreed. "Right, so no need to tell Christina." I stopped. "Were not going to tell her?" "No need if it didn't mean anything." I sighed. How could I not tell her. I tell her evrything. "Okay, I guess." He told me he had to go so we both hung up. Gina stepped in. "So?" I gave her a thumbs up. "It's all worked out. Just a slip of the lips." She giggled and sat down next to me to give me a hug.
