****CHAPTER 6****
The next morning we had to be on the set
at 6am. When we got there we all walked in
like zombies. I looked over at Kevin who
looked dead. "You alright man?" He looked at
me. "Oh, yeah, I just don't like waking up
before 11:00." I giggled. We all walked over
to the director so we could introduce
ourselves. The guys were already chums with
him because he worked with them before. He
directed us all to the costume room to get
ready for the dance scene. We walked in and
Fatima stood there going through the outfits.
"Oh, good your all here. Let's get down to
business." She handed us our outfits. "Where
do we go to get changed." She looked at us
funny. "Right here." We looked at eachother.
The guys had already grabbed their corners.
They put boxes and ohter things infront of
them for privacy. Fatima smiled. "ALright
girls, you can go in the other room since
your new at this." We walked down the hall to
the other room. Christina shut the door
behind us.
When we were all finshed we checked out
eachothers outfits. We all had some type of
leather outfit. I had on a leather tanktop,
that cut off at my belly button, leather
shorts and leather boots that went up to my
knees. Danielle had on a leather tube-top,
leather pants and black high heels. Laura had
on a leather jump suit with a leather tank
top under the top part and leather shorts
under the skirt part, and leather boots that
went up to her knees. Elena had on a leather
tank top that cut off at her belly-button,
leather pants and black high heels. Christina
had on a leather tube-top, a leather skirt
with leather shorts under it and leather
boots that went up to her knees.
Suprisingly the outfits were quit
comfertable and we could dance in them. We
all walked out of the room and met up with
the guys in the other room. AJ looked over at
me and smiled. He walked over and looked me
up and down. "I once had a fantasy about you
that started out with you wearing something
just like that." I smiled and then smacked
him on the arm. I then looked him up and
down. "What's with the belly shirt?" He
laughed. "The other guys refused to wear it
so I got stuck with it." I smiled. "You know
you like it." He rubbed his bare stomach.
"Yup, you can see my tattoo." I wrapped mmy
arms around him and hugged him tightly. "Your
so adorable." Just then the hair dresser
shouted that she needed the girl dancers.
I went over and sat in the chair next
to Elena. The hair people told us we would
have to get extensions in our hair, except
for Danielle because her hair is already
long. They
put our extended hair up in high pony tails
and gave it a fountain type look.
When the hair was finished, we waited
patiently for the make-up people to get
started. Kevin walked over to me and Elena
with a little gray camera in his hand. I
looked at him. "What are you doin'?" He
smiled. "I tape everything we do and send it
back to my folks in Kentucky. I send a copy
to Brian's folks too. I've been doing it
since we started" He turned it on and pointed
at me. "This here is Gina. She is also one of
the dancers who will be joining us on tour.
Her and AJ are an item. Totally right for
him, I think. Isn't she beutiful?" I smiled.
"Thank you Kevin. Your the sweetest." He
smiled and turned the camera towards Elena.
"Aunt Jackie and Uncle Harold, this is
someone you should be interested in. This is
Elena, the women that makes your son's heart
melt." She blushed and waved to the camera.
Just then the make-up artists started
with our make-up. They put on mostly black
make-up to go with our outfits. Whe
everything was completed and ready to be
shot, it was around 11:00. We went to the
dance area and practiced it until Joseph
Kahn, the director, was ready. He shot it
about 4 or 5 different times. Then he said it
was perfect and the dancers could go. We got
out of our costumes and gave them back. The
guys, of course had to stay and do the rest
of the video. Fatima told us on tuesday we
had rehearsal for the VMA's that were on
thursday. The guys had asked us all to be
their dates since we will be their already.
Luckly, that week Kevin's girlfriend was
going out of town, so he had to ask Danielle.
She was very pleased about it.
The guys weren't home for the next two
days because they were finishing up the
video. On saturday morning it was finally
finished. I decided to let AJ sleep, so I
didn't call him. On sunday evening I went
over his house to hang out. We sat on the
couch and talked. He stood up and grabbed my
hand. "Come with me. I have a suprise for
you." He led me up the stairs. We stopped in
front of his bedroom. "Okay, now close your
eyes." I shut them. He put his hand over them
just in case I peaked. We walked in. I could
hear him going through some things. Then the
noise stopped. "Okay, you can open you eyes
now." I opened them slowly. He stood infront
of me holding a leaperd skin dress with a
black jacket and high heels. "What's this
for?" He smiled. "The VMA's on thursday." I
looked in his eyes. "Oh, AJ you shouldn't
have. This lookes expensive. Let me pay you
back or at least for half." He shook his
head. "No G, it doen't matter. I really don't
care about money. I care about you." I
smiled. "When did you get it?" He set it down
on the bed. "The day when we went to the
mall. When you went to the bathroom. I ran in
the store and bought it." He picked it up and
put it on my lap. He looked at me with those
adorable puppy dog eyes. "Please try it on.
If you don't like it we can take it back." I
sighed. "Okay." He got up and walked out so I
could get changed. After I was finished I
opened the door to let him in. His eyes lit
up. "Damn women, you look fine! You gotta
wear this." I smiled. "You only like it cause
it is leaprad skin." He smiled. "Hey, it's
me. But hey, when you wear that it maks me
like leapard skin prints even more."I sat on
the bed. "AJ, thanks and all but I really
don't need you to be me things. I am fine."
He kneeled in front of me and grabbed my
hands. "Look, Gina, I told you I don't care
about money. If something makes you happy
than I am happy. I just want things to be
perfect for you because I love you." I looked
in his eyes. He started to blush because that
was the first time he had ever said that to
me. I smiled. "I love you too, AJ." He got up
and sat next to me on the bed. "I have wanted
to say that for the longest time." I
continued to stair deep into his eyes. "For
how long?" "Ever since you cryed to me on the
phone about you and that Chris kid breaking
up." I looked at him funny. "How could you
have known then, we were only 17. We hardly
talked on the phone then." He wrapped his arm
around me. "I just knew that I wanted to take
care of you for the rest of my life. Gina,
when I look into your eyes, I see forever." I
started to cry. "That is the sweetest and
most romantic thing anybody has ever said to
me."
He leaned in and kissed me softly. He
wipped my tears away with his thumb. "Shh,
don't cry." I looked over at the clock. It
was 10:03. I looked back at AJ. "Remember
that offer you gave me a few days ago? Ya
know, to stay the night?" His smile grew
wide. "Yeah." I smiled. "Is it still up for
grabs?" He shook his head. "Of course." I
brushed my hair out of my eyes. "Um...I have
a confession to make. I am kinda new at this,
if you get my drift." I lowered my eyes
because I was embarrassed to soon to be 21
and still a virgin. And also Nick told me AJ
was pretty experienced. He put his hand on my
leg. "We don't have to do this." I shook my
head. "I know but I want to." He smiled and
then stood up to turn down the lights.

The whole week went by pretty quick.
Monday, the girls had a million questions on
why I didn't come home Sunday night. When I
told them, they had a million questions about
that. On Tuesday, we spent all day at dance
rehearsal for the VMA's. Wenesday night we
flew up to New York City for the show. The
whole plane flight me and AJ discussed if we
should share a hotel room. Their were two
pluses, it would cost less money and
well...you can pretty much guess the other.
When we got there we decided we would. Around
3:00 we had to be at the opera house to
practice. When we were finished, the guys had
to stay around for a interveiw for TRL. They
arrived back at the hotel around 5:00. We all
got ready for the big show. When we were
ready I made my way down to the lobby.
Everyone was there waiting for the limos. I
heard Howie saying something about when
Lauryn Hill is on stage we got go get ready.
The limos showed up and we got in. Me, AJ,
Danielle, Kevin, Howie and Laura were in one.
Elena, Brian, Nick and Christina were in the
other.
AJ leanded over to me and whisperd that
I looked great. I smiled and said the same
back to him. I looked over at Danielle and
Kevin who were totally flirting. AJ tapped me
on the shoulder. "Kev told me he is really
starting to like Danielle. He thinks he has
feelings for her." I smiled. "Really?
Danielle really likes him a lot." He got a
sneaky grin on his face. "We gotta get them
togther." I sighed. "Yeah, but he has a
girlfriend." "Their not doing to well. They
fight all the time. I think he is gonna dump
her when we get back." Just then the limo
pulled up infront of hundreds of screaming
people. Blink182 (who I love) was on the
stage outside. We stepped out of te limo and
I looked around. It hit me, we were gonna be
on live television tonight. AJ must of
noticed how nervous I was because he grbbed
my hand and smiled. "Everything will be
alright." I smiled and started down the red
carpet and we made our way inside.
We found our seats and sat down. I
looked around and saw a few stars. I saw Puff
Daddy, Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez. I
heard Laura squeal, "Oy my good God, there is
`N Sync." I looked over at AJ and squeezed
his leg to get his attention. "You called
Lance right? They are up for it?" He smiled.
"Yup, tonight at the after party." I smiled
and kissed him. "Thanks. She is gonna flip."
The show started and went by pretty quick.
Before I knew it, Lauryn Hill was on stage
and we were making our way back stage. We got
in our position back stage to get ready to
run on. The music started and we were on. I
did my best and after 3 minutes it was over.
When we went back to our seats. Brian smiled
at Elena. "Now that wasn't to bad now was
it?" She smiled. "No, I could get used to
this."
Later on in the night the boys won for
Veiwers Choice. When they did we all stood up
with them. Me and AJ kissed. So did Brian and
Elena. We knew the cameras were on us but we
didn't care. Pretty soon the show was over
and we were making our way to the after
party. When we got there AJ introduced me to
the guys in `N Sync. They were all very
sweet. Justin seemed excited to meet Laura
because he heard that she was 19. I smiled at
them. "I'll be right back. Let me go get
her." I walked over to Laura who was dancing
on the dance floor with Howie, Christina and
Nick. I pulled her arm. "Hey cutie, come with
me." She looked at me funny. "Where we
going?" I giggled. "You'll see."
