Chris sat down on the couch while Danielle went to her room to get changed. A few moments later she came out in black pants and a nice white blouse. Her hair was pulled back in a hairclip. Chris smiled at her when she appeared in the room. "Dressed up for me?" Chris asked as he smashed his cigarette in the ash tray.
Danielle gave him an evil look as she stood infront of him and crossed her arms. "Actually, I have to head to work in a few minutes, so can we make this talk quick?" "Why did you decided to come down here to Florida?" Chris asked. "Did you listen to anything I ever told you when we dated? I told you a million times that I'm from here. My whole family is from here." Chris nodded his head. "Right. I forgot about that. I always listened to you. Isn't your cousin in 'N Sync or something." Danielle rolled her eyes. "Backstreet Boys." She informed him. Chris shrugged his shoulders. "Same thing. Look, I just wanted to tell you I miss you." Chris said as he leaned back on the couch.
Danielle sighed. "Yeah right. You miss having me around so you can cheat on me." Chris opened his mouth. "I never..." Danielle cut him off. She was angry and wanted to get this out. "You miss having me around so you can drag me to your God damn parties with you and your low life friends. You miss getting me drunk and leaving me on the couch so you could go upstairs with some blonde and screw her while I was downstairs having some jackass hit on me. You miss having me around so you could scream at me the whole car ride home because I wanted to leave and you were having fun." Danielle finally finished with tear filled eyes.
"I changed." Chris said as he stood up. "I'm not like that anymore. I haven't had a drop off alcohol in 2 months." He moved closer to her and placed his hand on her sholders. She moved away from him. He did it again and this time she didn't move. "I'm sorry for hurting you. You're the last person I would ever want to hurt. I know you probably have some guy wating for you somewhere. I'm not looking for a relationship, I just want to be your friend." Danielle sighed. "My friend?" Chris nodded. "Yeah. We have fun together, don't we?" Danielle shrugged her shoulders. "Well, I'll be at that motel thats a few blocks away if ya wanna talk later."
"Motel? For how long?" Danielle asked. "A week. I have a friend in Georgia who is gonna drive down next week to pick me up and I'm gonna stay with him a bit. I got no where else so I gotta stay at the motel." Chris said. Danielle was about to punch herself for doing this. She hated the fact that she was blessed with a good heart. "Why don't you stay with me for a week? I have an extra room." Chris smiled. "Really? I mean, I'm totally fine at the motel." "Bring your bags over later." Chris hugged her. "Thank you, Danielle." Danielle sighed. "Yeah."
Danielle walked up the path to Brian's house. She called him later that day and told him she needed to talk to him. She had no idea how she was going to tell him that her ex-boyfriend, who she happened to despise, was staying with her for a week. She rang the door bell and a few moments later the door opened and Brian pulled her in for a kiss.
When he pulled away Danielle smiled. "I could really get used to that if that is gonna be a regular thing that you do." Brian laughed and moved aside for her to step in. He kissed her on the cheek and quickly turned to the steps. As he ran up the steps he yelled, "I have to use the potty, I'll be down in a second." Danielle laughed at his sillyness. She made herself comfortable on the couch. She sat towards the edge as she flipped through the ESPN magazine that sat on the coffee table.
Brian walked into the living room and sat behind her on the couch. He pushed her hair to the side as he started kissing her neck. "What are you doing back there?" Danielle asked giggling. "Did I ever tell you how much I love your neck? I would have to say that you neck is by far the best neck in the world. It's definetly my favorite neck." Brian said in between kisses. Danielle pulled away. "Brian, I really need to talk to you." Brian pulled her back and started to kiss her neck again. "I know. I'm listening." Danielle got up and sat on the coffee table facing him. "I'm serious." Brian sighed. "Okay, I'm sorry. What's up, my love?" Danielle thought for a moment then started. "My ex-boyfriend is in town for a week and I'm letting him stay with me." Danielle waited for Brian's reaction. "And?" He asked. "That's all." Danielle stated.
Brian laughed. "That's what you had to tell me. You're so cute. I love your good heart." Danielle looked at him funny. "You don't care?" Brian shook his head. "No. I mean you don't still love him, right?" Danielle shook her head. "No way. I can't stand the sight of him." "Wait, you hate him but you're letting him stay with you? You really do have a good heart." Danielle sighed. "I know and I hate it." Brian kissed her. "Well I love it and I love you."
