Danielle walked from her bedroom to the living room pulling up her hair as she walked. She stopped in the living room and stared at Chris who stood infront of the stove in the kitchen area. "What are you doing?" She asked.
Chris turned around with a plate that had pancakes stacked on it. "Just in time for pancakes." He said smiling. Danielle looked at him funny. "You made pancakes?" Chris nodded as he put the plate on the table along with two other plates and silverware. He sat down in one of the chairs. "Come have some." Chris said as he pointed to an empty chair. "I'd love to but I have to go to work." Chris shrugged his shoulders. "So? There is always time for some of 'Chris's world famous pancakes'."
"You're a dork." Danielle said laughing. Chris ponited at her with his fork. "Ahhh, at last a smile. That the first time I saw one of those from you since I arrived." Danielle picked her purse. "Hmmm, I wonder why?" Danielle said. Chris ignored her and pulled the chair out. "Please have some. Just a taste maybe?" Danielle sighed. "Fine."
She took a few bites standing up. When she swollowed she smiled. "Very good. Are you happy now?" Chris nodded. "Yup, very happy." "Okay, now I really gotta go." Danielle said, turning towards the door. "Wait." Chris said. "What are you doing tonight?" Danielle thought for a second. "Uhhh, Brian's taking me to get a car. Finally I will be able to drive around this damn city." Chris nodded. "Oh, cause I was wondering if maybe you could show me around a little. I've never been to Orlando before." Danielle opened the door. "Maybe tomorrow." She said. Then she left.
Brian knocked a few times on Danielle's door. When no one answered he turned the doorknob and stepped in. "Danielle?" He asked the empty apartment. A few moments later a man appeard from the hallway. "Hey. You must be Brian, right?" Brian nodded and extended his hand out. "Hi. Chris, is it?" Brian asked. Chris nodded and accepted his hand shake. "Danielle isn't home yet." Chris informed him. Brian nodded. "Okay, I'll just wait for her on the couch."
Chris stood silent for a moment then turned his body. "I gotta take a piss." He said as he went in the bathroom. Brian nodded and thought, 'Thanks for sharing.' There was something about Chris that Brian didn't like. He didn't know what Danielle could of ever saw in him. He and Chris seemed like they were night and day. The door swung open and Danielle appeared. "Hey cutie." She said as she smiled at Brian on the couch. Brian stood to greet her. He leaned over and kissed her.
Chris came out of the bathroom and watched Danielle and Brian kiss. Danielle looked at him and smiled. "Hey Chris. We're going to get my car now." Chris nodded and looked at Brian. Danielle grabbed Brian's hand. "I can't wait! Come on, lets go." Brian turned his gaze away from Chris and followed Danielle out the door. When they got in the elevator Brian was thinking about the look that Chris was giving him. It sent chills down his spine.
Danielle patted him on the arm. "Wha'cha thinking about?" She asked. Brian sighed. "Chris gives me bad vibes." Danielle laughed. "That isn't bad vibes its bad stench. He smells like a foot." When Brian didn't crack a smile she knew he was serious. "How come?" She asked. The doors opened and they stepped out of the elevator. "I dunno. He just does. I think I saw a gun in his pocket." Danielle smiled. "You did not. Stop making up excuses for me to kick him out. It's only a few more days then he's gone." Brian wrapped his arm around her as they walked to his car. "I know. I just hate having to share you with some weirdo." Danielle shook her head. "You never have to share me. I'm always gonna be yours, 100 percent." Brian smiled. "Good, I'm glad to hear that."
