~Chapter 16~

Nick walked into Brian's hotel room with Playstation and a few games in his hands. "Okay, I just gotta hook it up then I can kick your butt in some football." Brian nodded as he sat on the bed looking at his cell phone. Nick sat on the ground reaching behind the TV to hook the system up. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Danielle's has been calling all day and left like a billion messages." Nick shrugged his shoulders. "So? Call her back then." Brian just stared at Nick. "What?" He asked. Then he rolled his eyes. "Oh, what? Are you still mad at her?" Brian nodded. "Yeah Nick, I am. She kissed her ex-boyfriend, remember?"

Nick sat down next to him and handed him a paddle. "Actually, he kissed her and she pulled away, but whatever." "Are you taking her side?" Brian asked. Nick nodded. "Yeah I am. Bri, you're my best friend and I love ya, but I believe Danielle. She wouldn't do that to you. She even said she hated that guy, so then why would she go and kiss him?" Brian looked at the TV screen, deciding what team he wanted to be. "They were getting pretty close before I left. Now that I'm not there they probably hang out everyday." "Well we're going back a day eariler so you can tomorrow."

Brian continued to stare blankly at the TV. Nick could tell he still wasn't satisfied. "I don't understand you. What I would give to have what you have. You have this pretty, smart, funny, kind girlfriend. She loves you more then anything in the world and has loved you since the day she met you. And here you are wondering if she still has feelings for some guy who, to her, doesn't even compare to you." Brian sighed. "I know. I'm being an idiot. I just want to get home to fix this." Nick smiled. "We'll be back tomorrow. For now, it's time to kick some B-Rok butt." Brian laughed. "Not if I kick yours first, blondie."

AJ was steaming and wanted to scream. He sat on the coffee table facing Danielle who sat on the couch. Gina sat next to her with her arm around her. Danielle had just told them about the events that took place at her appartment. "Those things he said aren't even close to being true." Gina said as she rubbed her hand up and down her shoulder. Danielle's face was red and her eyes were full of tears. "I know. I don't know why it hurt so much though. He's dirt to me. He's less then dirt."

"It probably hurts because you wanted to believe he changed when he really didn't." Gina said. Danielle nodded. "God, I'm so stupid." Gina shook her head. "No you're not. Don't say that. I would have done the same thing." AJ was queit the whole time. Gina looked over at him for some help. He stood and started walking towards the door. "Where are you going?" Gina asked. "Going to find this asshole. Did he say where he was going?" Danielle's head shot up and looked at AJ. "No AJ. Please don't. He's gone and out my life. Let's just leave this alone."

AJ put his arms straight out infront of him. "Leave this alone? How can I leave this alone when he did this? You are like my sister. No, not 'like', you are my sister. Someone messes with you and they mess with me." Gina stood up. "AJ, are you nuts? Okay, so what if you do find him? What are you going to do? Beat him up? Like that will solve anything." "Well, what am I supposed to do? Nothing?" Danielle nodded. "Yeah. He's gone. I don't care about him. Be the better man and let him go." AJ sighed. "Fine. But God help me if I ever see that bastard again."

They were silent for a bit and then Danielle spoke. "I'm sorry you guys. I probably ruind your night." AJ shook his head. "No, its fine. We had nothing special planned." Gina nodded. "Why don't you stay here tonight?" Danielle shook her head. "I couldn't. You guys hardly have time for eachother. I don't want to intrude on anything." AJ grabbed her heands. "Please stay. We need to be distracted." "From what?" Danielle asked. AJ smiled. "Well, we promised eachother we would stop doing stuff until the wedding night." Danielle laughed. "Oh, man you guys must be dieing." "Hey," Gina said, "we aren't sex addicts. We just love eachother way too much." They all laughed.

Danielle then found herself thinking about Brian. She missed him so much. All she wanted to do was be in his arms. She missed his smile and laugh and kisses. Everything. She knew he would be home soon and everything will then be back to normal.
