A few weeks had passed and Danielle went out a few times with Brian and Leighanne to take pictures. She succeeded in her apartment hunting and found a beautiful 1 bed room apartment only a few blocks away from AJ's and Gina's. Danielle bought some furniture and a few knick-knacks for the apartment and planned on moving in in a week. She got a temporary job as a receptionist at a doctor's office while figuring out what she want's to do with her life in photography.
Gina decided to let the whole Chris situation go. She figured it was just a typical ex-boyfriend sitiuation where he took it hard and Danielle pretty much didn't want to see him anymore. Gina figured if anything was wrong Danielle would have come to her.
It was three weeks before Brian and Leighanne's wedding. Leighanne invited Gina and Danielle over to hang out. They both were reluctant to going, but decided to go over just for a little while. When Gina and Danielle arrived, Leighanne brought them right upstairs to show off her gown. The girls sat on the bed as she went to put it on. She came out a few moments later. She smiled and spun around. "Don't I look great." Both girls nodded. Leighanne clapped her hand together. "Oh, I just adore this dress. This other women was trying it on when I went to get it. Let me tell you, she looked horriable in it." Leighanne walked over to the mirror and started posing infront of it.
After 5 minuted of posing, she stopped and turned. "I get so lost in this dress." She went to get changed and came back into the room when she was finished. Leighanne led them downstairs and they sat down on the couch. All three girls chatted for a little while. Although, Leighanne did most the talking. Gina realized that early on when she met her that her favorite topic to talk about is herself. Leighanne was interupted by the phone. She picked it up and went in the other room. Leighanne didn't know, but Danielle and Gina could hear every word of her side of the conversation. "A club? Tonight? Well, I have AJ's cousin and girlfriend over but I could probably make up some lie. Okay, Jess, I'll meet you there in an hour." They girls both shot looks of disbelief at eachother. Leighanne came back in the room. "Oh girls, I'm so sorry. I have to go see my grandmother." She lied. "I'm sorry to cut this short." Both girls stood. "It's okay." Gina said. Leighanne smiled. "Well, thank you for coming over." Danielle and Gina smiled and walked out the door. They got in Gina's car. Danielle sat and stared and Gina. "Did we just get ditched?" Gina nodded and started the car. "I think so." Danielle gave a sigh of annoyance. "I still don't know what Brian see's in her."
Brian sat at Kevin's table in his kitchen. Kevin poured him a glass of Pepsi and slid it across to him. He sat down as he took a sip of his own. "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" Brian looked up at Kevin. "I know its common to have doubts but I've been having them like crazy." Kevin sighed. "You're not going to tell me it's because Danielle came back, are you?" Brian lowered hi eyes and looked down at his glass. "I don't know."
"Bri, those feelings you have for her is feelings for a best friend. You had a crush on her when you were 18, but thats all it was, a crush. Don't get me wrong, I love Danielle to death but don't ruin the great relationship you have with Leighanne over some crush. Besides, do you really think Danielle feels the same?" "I guess you're right," Brian said, "but I also keep thinking, what if Leighanne isn't the one and I'm making a huge mistake?" Kevin stood and put his empty glass in the sink then turned towards Brian. "Do you love her?" Brian smiled. "Of course." Kevin shrugged his shoulders. "Then that's all that matters."
