Danielle came in the living room from the kitchen. Brian sat silently on her couch as he watched her. "Your appartment is very nice." He said as she entered the room. Danielle smiled. "Thanks. So, it looks like all we have to drink is milk, water and wine. I haven't gone shopping in a while." She said with a giggle. Brian smiled. "That's okay. I'll have some wine I guess." Danielle nodded and went back into the kitchen.
A few short minutes later she returned with two empty glasses and a bottle of wine in her hands. She handed one to Brian and sat down next to him as she poured him some wine. They were silent for a moment, then Danielle broke the silence. "Ya know, after you left I really missed seeing you everyday. I kind of got used to talking to you every morning. I guess you don't know what you got till it's gone." Danielle said with a slight smile.
Brian nodded after he took a sip of his wine. "Yeah, I know. I left so fast. I mean, one minute I'm in class taking notes, the next I'm flying down to Florida to join a singing group. It was nuts!" Danielle smiled. Brian studied her face. "So, you still writing? In class evertime I would look over at you you were always writing a poem or story or something." Brian asked. Danielle nodded. "Yeah. I love writing. I hope to get a novel published one day." "Wow, thats awesome. I would love to read something of yours."
Danielle shrugged her shoulders. "I get very shy when it comes to people reading some of my stuff. The stories I'm okay with but I get very personal in my poetry." Brian nodded. Danielle continued. "It's nothing against you." "I understand." Brian said smiling, and moving closer to her on the couch.
An hour went by and Brian and Danielle continued to talk and drink wine. They both were feeling alittle tipsy, but were having a good time laughing and joking around. Brian put the empty glass on the table and turned towards Danielle. He grabbed her hand and interwined his fingers with hers. "I always thought you were gorgeous. I still do." Danielle rolled her eyes. "Yeah, like I'm gonna believe you after you've had four glasses of wine." "I mean it. You made my heart race real fast everytime you'd brush up against me." Danielle blushed. She knew it was just the alcohol making him say this, but she couldn't help but smile. "Thanks." She said. "I always thought you were cute."
Brian smiled and started to move closer to her and soon his lips were on hers. Danielle started to kiss him back but soon she pushed him away. "We can't do this. We're both drunk." Brian looked deep into her hazel eyes. "I may be drunk, but I know I want you more than anyting right now." Danielle sighed. "Brian, I have a boyfriend. I should have told you eariler." Brian's face dropped. "Oh. Well, you weren't obligated to tell me. It's no like we did anything or I mean I did tell you how I thought about you but I..." Danielle interupted him.
She knew he would go on forever babbling and slurring his words if she didn't stop him. "You can stay here tonight if you want. I don't want you driving home." Brian nodded. "Yeah. Thanks." Danielle stood. "I'll get you some blankets. I'll be right back." She stood and headed for her bedroom. He watched her as she walked away. Her long black dress swayed back and forth with each step.
Brian stared into space as he sat silently on the couch. The room was spinning and he wasn't really sure what he was feeling. All he knew was he enjoyed being with Danielle. A loud bang interupted his blurry thoughts and he got up and ran to her bedroom. Danielle was leaning over in her closet picking up clothes. She was now in a tank top and shorts. "You okay?" He asked.
Danielle looked over at him standing in the doorway. "Yeah, my clothes rack just broke. Guess I have to many clothes, huh?" She said laughing. She stood, deciding to clean it up when she could think straight. She picked up the blankets she pulled out for Brian and handed them to him. "You can make yourself comfortable on the couch."
Brian stood silent as he stared at her. "I've decided I don't care if you have a boyfriend." Danielle looked at him confused. "What?" Brian dropped the blankets on the floor and wrapped his arms around Danielle's waste. His lips brushed up against hers. He pushed her back onto the bed and layed on top of her. His hands ran up and down the sides of her body. Danielle continued to kiss him back. She knew she should put a stop to it, but she couldn't. She always wanted this...wanted this with him.
