The rain tapped against the window as Danielle layed in bed reading her book. She looked at the top of the page and read the number. After reading it for not even an hour and she was already on page 88. Everytime she would read this book she got it done quicker and quicker. She couldn't help it though, she loved this book. "The Notebook", her favorite book.
Danielle looked up and saw Brian step in the bedroom doorway. He slipped off his jeans, leaving him only in his boxers and a blue T-shirt. "I thought you were never gonna come out of there. I almost regretted letting you turn the basement into a studio." Brian smiled. "Sorry. I lose track of time when I'm in there." "It's okay. Its your job as well as your love and I totally understand." He crawled into bed next to Danielle and kissed her on the head. "Reading this again I see." He said with a smile. Danielle nodded, keeping her gaze on the book. "I'm almost done the song I'm working on. It's coming along great." Brian said as he reached for the remote on the nightstand next to the bed. "I can't wait to here it." Danielle stated. Brian turned on the TV. "Will this bother you?" He asked her. Danielle shook her head. "Nope, it's fine." She said glancing up at the TV. Jay Leno was on and had Robin Williams as a guest. He was talking about his latest movie.
Danielle returned her attention back to the book. Brian layed next to her and laughed at a few things on the TV. A few moments later she heard Brian snoring lightly. She looked over at him and smiled as he slept peacefully. Danielle took the remote out of his hand and turned off the TV. She then set her book on the nightstand and flicked off the lamp. She slumped her body down to a laying position, facing Brian. She could see him from the moonlight that was glowing through the window. She never thought she could love anyone as much as she loved him. Danielle closed her eyes and remembered the spring of three years ago. The spring that changed both their lives.
