Concert Review
BUOS CONCERT 6-18-99 at The Trillo in Scranton, PA
Blessid Union of Souls was full of energy and excitement at their
concert at the Trillo! From start to finish Blessid was ROCKIN'! They
started off their set with "The Last Day" and ended it with "Revolution". I
couldn't sit still! Other titles included "Let Me Be The One", "I Believe",
"Virginia", "I Wanna Be There", "Light In Your Eyes", and "Hey Leonardo"
The crowd went wild at many points. They loved C.P.'s harmonica
solos, and especially liked when the ever so "flirtatious" Tony Clark showed
off his stuff to the girls. Eddie Hedges did a drum solo, at which time the
other members of the band cleared the stage. All eyes were on Eddie and he
didn't disappoint. Eliot, as usual, sang with heart and soul and sent chills
running down my spine on more than one occasion. Jeff Pence (a new daddy)
did his thing on the guitar and although I couldn't see him much from my
vantage point, he must have been doing something right for the girls on that
side of the stage kept going nuts.
Highlights of the show included "Hey Leonardo" which the younger
crowd really enjoyed and the new more up beat version of "I Believe". I was
skeptical about the new mix at first, until I heard it. WOW! I didn't think
they could improve on something so good, but leave it to Blessid to shock me!
Unfortunately the only way to hear this song, as of today, is to see them
live. I'm sure with a little bit of coercing we could change that though, so
send them a note at "

The guys are so friendly and personable and they showed it every bit
after their set. Fans got to meet the band up close and personal outside of
the club. The guys stayed after the show for close to an hour signing
autographs and answering questions. No quick runaway in a limo for this
group. They went out of their way to make the fans feel special. I find
this to be one of their greatest attributes. When is the last time you got
to stand and talk to a rock star? C.P. Roth did a few live interviews for
the sponsoring radio station, WKRZ 98.5 FM, and also entertained countless
questions from me!
All in all it was a night to remember. I walked away with two
autographed tee shirts (Eddie drew a real cool drumset on one of them) and I
also got the posters that I had made for the group signed. I could've had a
guitar pick, but the 16 yr old girl behind me decided she wanted it more and
stepped on my hand. OUCH! All of the members of the band posed for
pictures with me as well. Look for them on my web page under "New Pictures". The
memories from the evening will stay with me for a long time. I truely admire
the group for their continuous high quality music and for their love for
their fans. I love ya guys!
