Our saddest task, angel layettes
This is the sizing we use for the layettes we make. Each of our OB units gets 3 of each size, 1 in girlish colors, one in boyish colors, and one that is unisex (usually white). Each NICU gets 6 of each size (or more, if requested).
Angel Layette Size Guidelines
Up to 1 lb.
Bonnet: 8 inch (head circ. -should fit a tennis ball)
Gown
Neck: 2.5 inch
Length: 9 inch
Abdomin: 9 inch
Wrist to Wrist: 9 inch
Booties: 1 inch
1-3 lb.
Bonnet: 10.5 inch (head circ.)
Gown
Neck: 3 inch
Length: 11 inch
Abdomin: 11 inch
Wrist to Wrist: 11 inch
Booties: 2 inch
3-5 lb.
Bonnet: 13 inch (head circ.)
Gown
Neck: 3.5 inch
Length: 15 inch
Abdomin: 13 inch
Wrist to Wrist: 12.5 inch
Booties: 3 inch
5-7 lb.
Bonnet: 14 inch (head circ.)
Gown
Neck: 4.5 inch
Length: 16 inch
Abdomin: 14 inch
Wrist to Wrist: 14 inch
Booties: 3.5 inch
7-9 lb.
Bonnet: 15 inch (head circ.)
