Mustangs of Family and Friends

Here's my '95 GT, my mom's '01 Bullitt, and my dad's 91GT. I love this pic!

This is my dad's 91GT he purchased from its original owner. It only had 50,000 miles on it.

On its first trip to the track my dad ran a best of 14.89 at 91.87mph in it. I ran it to a best of 14.60 at 94.63mph. How's that for a bone stock GT except for 14* of timing and a removed air silencer!

The car had: 3.73 gears, C&L 76mm MAF, ASP aluminum underdrive pulleys, off road Bassani X pipe, Borla mufflers with turn downs, factory 5 upper and lower control arms, an electric fan out of a 94 tempo, a 130amp alt. out of a 94 3.8 mustang, Pro 5.0 shifter, MAC cold air induction, Comp. Engineering subframe connectors, and Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro tires. His best ET as of last season was a 13.6 at 98.99mph.

UPDATE- he recently installed the Holley Systemax II kit and a set of MT ET Street tires, we just got it together the first week of August and are still tuning, but he has already gone 12.6 at 107mph in it. Check out his section of my site for the latest details as there is lots more coming for the '02 racing season!

UPDATE 10-27-02: Well, the car isn't quiet living up to our expectations yet, but its still doing well so far. It dyno'd 323RWHP out of the naturally aspirated 302. The best 1/4 times so far have been a 12.4 at 112.2 MPH. It will get better, trust me!

UPDATE 08/31/03- Dad's best time so far is a 12.1 at 113mph... the 11's are in our sites, we just haven't hit them yet.

UPDATE: Dad recently ran a 12.01 at 115... no 11's yet but its getting CLOSE!!!

UPDATE- DAD DID IT!!! HE RAN A 11.95 at 115mph!!!

UPDATE Nov 15th, 2004- Dad just ran a new best of a 11.84 at 117mph with a horrid 1.72 60'!!!

UPDATE: Dad's mustang is in a full feature article in the June 2005 issue of "5.0 Mustang and Super Fords Magazine!!!"

This is my mom's 2001 Bullitt GT, its number 2998. This is the GT Ford should have always made. Its rated at 265FWHP, but this thing feels strong as hell! It sounds mean too. It is lowered 3/4 of on inch, it has factory installed subframe connectors, it also has 13" brakes and the FRPP hi-po intake and twin throttle body. I took it to the track twice. The first time out with roughly 1100 miles on it I ran a 14.1 at 98.9mph. I recently took it again to the track this time with nearly 2500 miles and ripped off a few 13.7's with the best being a 13.70 at 99.3mph on my nittos. That's downright impressive in my book for a 100% stock mustang. All we've done is to add a K&N filter!
UPDATE: We recently through on my ET streets and took the BULLITT to the track. The result was a whopping 13.5 at 101 BONE STOCK with me driving. Hell, mom even ran a 13.8 in it herself!!!

UPDATE April 2005: Well FINALLY mom is starting to modifiy the car. We just installed a set of 4.10 gears and a Diablo Sport Predator. Stay tuned, new times to come in a few weeks.

Mom's bullitt was in the December 2004 issue of "5.0 Mustang and Super Fords Magazine" in the showcase section. Check it out if you have the issue!

Here's my cousin's 94GT. Bone stock he ran a 14.8 at 93mph!
His car had 3.55 gears, ASP aluminum underdrive pulleys, off road Bassani X pipe, 14* timing, a homemade air inlet tube with open K&N filter, and a Pro 5.0 shifter. With these parts he ran a 14.2 at 97.Xmph on street tires with a worn out clutch.

Now his beast sports a Kenne Belle Blowzilla SC, FMS HD clutch, 190lph walbro fuel pump, Kenne Bell FMU, AFM powerpipe, 80mm MAF, 30lb injectors, and a bassani cat back. He has been having problems with excessive fuel pressure but has still managed to cover the 1320 in 13.2 seconds at 106.17mph on kelly street tires. With some tuning 12's are no problem.
UPDATE: This car is undergoing a serious transformation to become one hell of a street machine. Here is the list of new parts making their way onto the car very shortly: FTI (Ed Curtis) custom ported AFR 165cc heads, FTI custom cam, FTI ported Holley systemax I lower intake (this is the direct stock replacement lower), Cartech fully adjustable FMU, FMS equal length ceramic coated headers, 75mm T-Body, rockers, and either an EEC Tuner or custom burnt chip. This car will go 11's, its just a matter of traction that will determine how far into them it will go.
UPDATE 10-27-02: Matt recently had the car dyno tuned. It spun the roller to the tune of 399RWHP/399RWTQ. In an effort to make the tune on the safe side, some timing was removed and it ended up putting out 393RWHP/396RWTQ. The car hit 350RWTQ at 2500 and didn't drop below that until after 5800rpms! Track times are hopefully coming before winter.

This is my friend Charlie's INCREADIBLE 95 GT Convertible AODE. It ran 12.9 at 105 NA with AFR's, FTI blower cam, e-brock intake and that's with the auto!!! It now sports a polished Vortech S trim under the hood!!! It has PMP lambo doors, '00 cobra R front fascia, SVO side exhaust, ABC exclusive GTR rear bumper, custom two tone seats, custom paint job with ford grey metalic on top, ford oxford white and bottom, and a Dupont Chromolusion stripe seperating the two. Everything under the hood is polished too!!! Its a real show stopper. If you want to ask Charlie more about his car, here's his email address... drago1@adelphia.net.

UPDATE: Charlie's car was just on the cover of Modified Mustangs in the Feb/March '06 issue!

This was Bob's bad ass LX notchback. It sported a Powerdyne SC, full exhaust, 3.55's, a ported stock intake and heads, and Centerline wheels. This beast covered the 1/4 with a best time of 12.3 seconds at 112mph!

Bob purchased what we'll call KILLERCANARY II for his wife. It is a 1998 Cobra convertible in what else but yellow. He's trying to convince his wife to add a blower, but so far he's had no luck. Keep trying Bob!

This is Mike's '01 Zinc yellow GT convertible. With nothing more than a cold air induction, offroad H pipe, 2 chamber flowmaster mufflers, 4.10 gears, and Nitto 275-45-17 drag radials he has run 13.83 at 99mph. It took me a lot more than that to run 13.8's!!! He also has '95 cobra wheels on it that I think look GREAT!!! Mike added an Autometer tach and a line lock to help with the track duties this coming year. He also just added 4.30 gears, pulleys, an eaton carrier and 31 spline strange axles.
UPDATE Nov 15th, 2004: MIKE JUST RAN A 12.90 at 105MPH IN HIS NA 'VERT!!! WTG Mike!!! I knew you could do it!

This is Denny’s 98 GT. This wild ride featured an 80mm mass air, 70mm throttle body, MAC long tube headers, offroad H pipe, flowmaster cat back, Saleen SR wing, Xenon side skirts, after market rear fascia, and a kick ass front fascia. With that setup he covered the 1/4 in 14.2 seconds at 101mph- how’s that for a 1998 4.6L?

Denny has just added a set of 3.73's, a HD clutch, nitto DR's and a BIG ASS MOTOR, 514 cubes to be exact! Yes, this is a 514 cubic inch 98GT! He has run a 11.51 at 124mph while still experiencing traction problems. For good measure Denny left the 4.6 emblems on the side, he say's it stands for a "4-6ty" and that he just needs to add "stroker" to the end of it! So don't be fooled into thinking you'll toast his 4.6 as you'll have your butt handed to you by him!

This is Troy's stang. Where do I begin... this car features AFR 165cc heads, Vortec SC, Trickflow intake, 99 polished cobra wheels, custom painted hood with designs that match on top and under it, Saleen ground effects, tubular K member, cobra headlights, and the list goes on and on. He made just one pass down the 1/4 with it, and managed a severly traction limited 12.2 at 114mph... needless to say there is a LOT of potential left in it! Troy didn't anything untouched in this car.
UPDATE- at a recent dyno day I set up at Kauffman Motorsports Troy dyno'd an unreal 455HP and over 430FTLBS of torque at the wheels!!! With the new ignition upgrades, he's hoping for even more!

UPDATE Nov. 17th, 2004: Troy recently ran a 11.5 at 121mph on 275 Nitto drag radials!!!

This is Dan's GT. It sports the Trick flow stage 1 cam, street heat intake, and TW heads as well as 3.55 gears, centerline wheels, offroad x, nitto DR's and other goodies. He recently broke into the 12's with a 12.8 at 106mph.

UPDATE 02/16/03: Dan swapped the gears to a set of 4.10's and has run a 12.8 at 108mph

This is Mike's LX. It has TW heads, street heat intake, Paxton SC, and the list continues. On ET streets he has gone 11.9 and has trapped 118mph. He has even run 11.9 on Nitto DR's!!!

UPDATE 10/27/02: Mike ran a 11.81 at a whopping 121MPH. THAT'S IMPRESSIVE!!!!
UPDATE 08/31/03: Mike added some drag suspension parts to the car and it made a HUGE difference... how about a 11.4 at 122mph on his 245-50-16 nittos!!!
UPDATE: HOLY COW! Mike just dyno'd 516RWHP with the addition of a Paxton Novi 2000, ported heads, and fuel upgrades. He has since run 11.1 at 127mph too!!! That's freaking FLYING!
Click here to access Mike's web site.

UPDATE Nov 17th, 2004: Mike finished the season with a bang... how about a 10.9 at 128mph pass AFTER installing a NHRA roll bar!!! Awesome times Mike, we all knew you'd get there before the year was out!
