Chapter 15

Zac was really mad at Taylor. He couldn't hold his anger in for one more minute or he would burst, so he got on his bike and peadeled to Big Al's.

When he got there he saw Taylor, Isaac, Marc, and Ronnie sitting at a table together. "Great, he's trying to steal my whole circle of friends," Zac mumbled under his breath.

Zac walked to where they were sitting. "Aren't you the good brother, Taylor? Stealing my girlfriend and best friend in one day! You rascal! I hate you!"

"Sit down, Zac," said Taylor.

"No! I don't want anything to do with you Jordan Taylor Hanson!"

"Sit down, Zac," said Isaac.

"Okay, but only because Isaac asked," Zac said and took a seat next to Marc.

"First of all, I didn't steal your girlfriend," said Taylor.

"And it was actually Isaac who invited us here," said Marc.

"It's true," said Ike who explained everything finishing with Marc's plan.

"Sounds okay to me. Do you think Zel will go for it?" asked Zac.

"I'll call her and tell her to come down," said Ronnie and she walked over to the payphone.

~*~*~

Ronnie put in thirty five cents and dialed Zel's number.

"Hello," answered Zellary.

"Hey, Zel. It's Ronnie. Can you meet me at Big Al's. I need to talk to you."

"Do you remember how me, you, Zac, and Marc used to go there?"

"Yea. Wasn't that fun?"

"No. I hope I never see Zac again."

"Okay. That's nice. Can you come?"

"I guess. I'll be there in ten minutes."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

Ronnie walked back to the table. "She's comming, but, Zac, watch out. She's still really mad at you."

"I can handle her," said Zac.

"Whatever. I'm gonna wait outside for her," said Ronnie, and she walked out the door.

~*~*~

I had already been in my pajamas (plaid boxers and a t-shirt), so I quickly changed into a pair of jeans and a nicer t-shirt. Then I brushed my hair, grabbed a purse, and headed out the door. Big Al's was only a few blocks from my house, so I decided to walk.

As I walked, I thought about the act I had been putting on all day. I had been pretending I was mad and hated Zac. Well, I was med, but I still loved Zac and would have said yes in a minute if he asked me back out.

When I got to Big Al's, Ronnie was waiting for me out front. After we said our hellos, we walked inside.

"Zel, I have a surprise for you," she said as we were walking.

"What is it?" I asked, and then I saw Zac and everyone else.

"Zel!" said Zac, and he stood up and hugged me.

"Zac!" I said and returned the hug. "Isn't this a change of heart?"

"Sit down. We'll explain," sia Isaac as he told me the whole story. Then he told me Marc's idea.

"Okay. I think I have some paper in my purse. We can write the note now," I said and then we wrote the note.

Dear Jill,

Meet me at Steven's Park Saturday at noon.

Zac

"I'll take it to her house tonight," said Zac.

~*~*~

After they were done the planning, everyone finished their food and left the resturaunt. Zac got on his bike and rode to Jill's house.

When he got there, five minutes later, he put his bike in the grass and walked to the mailbox. "I better be careful of the dead dog," Zac said to himself and laughed. He put the envelope in the mailbox and got on his bike. He rode to Zellary's house where she and Ronnie were waiting on the porch. He gave them a thumbs up and then rode to his house, told Taylor and Ike, and then called Marc. Then he went to sleep, because for him waking up before noon on a Saturday was hard.
