Litha

Litha is also known as Midsummer and Summer Solstice. On this day, we celebrate the abundance and the beauty of earth. During this time, nature is at peak strength. Many Pagan's feel that this time is best for casting spells and for rituals.

Litha is the longest day of the year. From this day on, the days will wane, growing shorter and shorter until Yule. This marks the time when the Sun God is at his strongest point of the year, and a moment later begins to decline.

Litha is also known as a time of the fairy! There is a festival called the Feast of the Faries that is held on this day. It is believed that on twilight of this day, the portal between worlds is opened and the fairy folk may pass in. If you choose to welcome them, they may bless you with their great wisdom and joy!

During this time of the year, make your rededication to the Goddess and God. Honor her with white roses and he, with fire.
