The Sabbat called Ostara, in many ways is celebrated much like the Christian Holiday, Easter. Witches will hang pink and green streamers in their houses, put jellybeans on their tables and hang rabbit decor on the walls.
Ostara's symbol is the egg and her sacred animal, the rabbit, is the Norse Goddess of Fertility, who we honor on this day.
During this time, the earth is growing warmer.. The harshness of the winter is evaporating, and the soil is becoming fertile and soft. This is the time we plant our vegtable, herb and flower gardens. Ostara marks the day when night and day are equal and perfectly balanced. It reveals to us a balance of light and dark. It is a time of new beginings!
