The Dropkick Murphys are an Irish-American Oi!(Street Punk)band. The current members are Al Barr, Rick Barton, Matt Kelly & Ken Casey. They have two full length releases on Hellcat records(An old school punk and ska division of epitaph run by Lars Frederiksen of Rancid). They are Do Or Die(1997) & The Gang's All Here(1999). They used to have a different singer named Mike McGolgan but he was replaced by Al Barr formerly of the bruisers. Unlike many punk bands, The Dropkick Murphys dont sing about anarchy or politics. Instead they sing about drinking, loyal friends, hard work and fighting for their country. If you like the Dropkick Murphys you should check out bands like the Business or the Ducky Boys.
