Members of comedy troupe win NEPTA awards.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Theatrical Alliance (NEPTA) held their annual awards ceremony gala Saturday night September 11, 1999 and two members of One Laugh at Least received awards.

 Keith Edwards

Keith Edwards dramatic and comedic talents are heralded each year, and this year was no different as he was nominated an two awards. Keith won the Best Supporting actor in a drama for his fine performance in Diva Production's "Buried Child." He was also nominated for his work in "Three Penny Opera" at Showcase Theatre. Keith gave a terrific acceptance speech, which brought the night's only standing ovation following a speech. Congratulations Keith.

 Jack Gibbons

Like Keith, Jack has received NEPTA awards for both his acting and directing talents. This year is no different as the Irish comedy he directed at Showcase Theatre in Exeter, "The Course" received won the Best Comedy category. He also received a nomination for Best Actor for "Deathtrap" at Little Theatre in Wilkes-Barre. Jack seized the opportunity to wonder "I've won the NEPTA award, but was it because of NEPTAtism?" Congratulations, Jack!

 Shivaun O'Donnell

Shivaun was nominated in the Best Actress category for her performance as "Edna" in Prisoner of Second Avenue at Showcase Theatre in Exeter, a show which also picked up a nomination for best comedy. Unlike the other overachievers above, this is Shivaun's first nomination, and unlike the others she did not win. Oh, well...maybe next year.

 Chris O'Donnell

Chris played the starring role in "The Course" which received the Best Comedy award. Keith was also in The Course. Shivaun ran lights for two performances and is pleased to share the award with the others.
