april 30th, 1999, i ventured
out into
concert land and saw the best live show
i think i ever will witness. what
follows is simply what i saw, and if by
some change any of you orgy guys
stumbled upon my humble abode (ha!),
this is just my humblethoughts on your
excelent show. i plan on adding other
concert reviews/stories on this page, so
if you want to share with the internet
your views on a particular orgy concert
you were fortunate enough to check out,
send them to me!.
i want to hear, so does everyone else.
enjoy!!!!!!
I piled into the car and arived at St
Joe's University at around 6:00pm with
my sister. We had scored tickets about
three days before the show through a
relative. We ran into him (we works
there) and he took us back to sound
check which was an honor even if the
guys werent actually practicing. Ryan
walked by once then, and I didnt even
notice him, which is kinda odd since he
is like 6'3 and has that unmistakeable
blonde hair. My sister pointed him out
to me, and I waved to him, and he waved
back. Its funny how a little moment like
that means something, how a simple wave
makes a lasting impression, but I have
so much respect for these guys and their
music.
The actual show is what I want to get to
though, because if you havent been
fortunate enough to catch them live, I
feel really sorry for you. Our seats
were pretty good, section C, row 8, seat
2. Scary that I remember that, isnt it?
We moved up a bit though as soon as the
DJ who was on stage for what seemed like
an eternity got off the stage. They
opened with Dissension, one of my
favorites. It was an extremely excelent
show, and they were all full of energy
and Jay was just jumping around all over
the place. He wore a gray shirt and
white pants, an outfit I hadnt seen him
wear before in pictures or anything.
Quick and pointless observation... Jay's
microphone stand is taller than I am.
They were really in top form that night,
Ryan was headbanging as always, and I
love Paiges stage movements, I dont know
why. Amir and Bobby were a bit hard to
make out, but I squinted hard enough and
saw them. Hell, I sure heard them, they
played loud! They are really good
at reproducing the sound from the CD,
but you can still get that "live" feel
to it, you know?
The set list included Stitches,
Revival(my favorite)
Fetisha, Gender and of course
Blue Monday among others. It was
an extremely intense show, and they were
definately in top form.
Jay, Ryan, Bobby, Amir and Paige are
each and individually talented, and they
are masters of their instruments. In all
honesty, it is high time a good band has
emerged. They put on a show. They
were also gracious enough to do the
meet-n-greet, which goes to show just
how appreciative and humble they really
are. Looking forward to many more
concerts, albums and surprises from them
in years to come. You guys are
awesome
