A True Friend
What's that you say? You need a friend?Someone to stand by you til the end
Someone to be there thru thick and thin
To be there whether you lose or you win.
Someone to be there when you want to talk
Someone to hold your hand on a walk
Someone to understand your often mood swings
To see a smile on your face that the sunshine brings.
Someone to be there on a cloudy day
That no matter what by your side she'll stay
Someone to laugh with? with someone to cry?
With never a chance of saying good-bye.
I'll be that someone given a chance
Your friendship has me captive, in a trance
I'll be your friend, I pledge this to you
I'll be the best friend that you ever knew.
