Korn-Issues-1999.
i was definitly leary about picking this one up, after follow the leader, which was in my opinion, a disaster, i was cautious of a new korn, but also excited to hear what they have done, and to my surprise, they have come back and made something that shines! this album is full of songs that are mellow, hard, driving and downright freaky. The intro alone to falling away from me sounds like something out of a horror flik. if you liked their self titled, and life is peachy, you will definitly love this album, it is korn at their best and i am glad to see they left the rap shit to bizkit and stuck to their roots, making original, pounding NOISE! definitly pick this one up, i know i am.

Joe Strummer and the Mescalleros-Rock art and the X-ray style-1999-Hell-Cat Records.
i picked this up as soon as it was released, any clash fans would understand why. Joe strummer is a very talented musician and artist, and this album does not dissapoint for a minute. It is full of melodic songs, great acoustics, many different drums, horns, beat box, anything you could think of is incorperated into this debut album. the road to rock and roll, diggin the new and track number 2, the name escapes me at the moment are my favorites, but this album can be played right through and not loose steam or interest. If you like something different, and variety in your collection, i would definitly give this one a listen. Then again, it is joe strummer, everyone should like it.

Strung Out-Twisted by design-1997-Fat Wreck Chords
from the opening chord this album pumped me up. Strung out is by far, one of my favorite bands, so i might have a biased opinion, but i have to say, this album kicks ass! the closing track, MatchBox is an amazing song, weight of the world, ultimate devotion and deville are also kickin tracks, but every track on this album is worth listening too, that is a given. If you like fast, speedpunk and you love goin nuts in a pit, strung out is your band, everyone should definitly have this in their collection.

AFI-Black Sails in the Sunset-1999-Nitro Records
This album shocked me, it truly did, i had the old afi, but this new disc grabbed me, and took me for a ride, sure, it is still hard to understand Davey's lytrics sometimes, but after a few listens, you totally get into it, the first 7 songs are amazing, and the whole Cd listened through is definitly worth it, for those of you weary about this CD or this band, i highly reccomend them, this CD is amazing, and i give it a perfect score, it's long term play value is 100 percent, i cant get enough of it, i need to hear at least 6 songs from them everyday.

GOB-How Far shallow Takes You-1999-Fearless Records
this Cd is totally different, something i did not expect from gob, when i first listened to it, i didnt liek it that much, but after a few listend, it kind of grew on me, it has a certain edge i am not used to hearing from gob, highlites on this cd include Beaville, what to say, and suds. this cd is full of surprises, and it is a definite buy for any gob lover, it is different, but it is very good, and after hearing their new stuff at warped tour this year and sno jam, i can really get into it, i think this gob is a definite must and a 10 in my books.

GOOD RIDDANCE-Operation: Phoenix-Fat Wreck Chords
all i can say is WOW, i am totally surprised by this good riddance, i think it is amazing, i dug it right away, of course, being a long term GR fan, i knew i would, but this is a good ole taste of hardcore, good riddance style, there are many bright spots on this cd, the first few songs are really tight, letters home is an amazing song, it is a totally good buy if you are a HC fan, or GR fan, or any kind of fan, it adds a special kick to your collection, and a depth i havent heard from them before, a definite must have, i rate it a 9.

CHOKE-Needless to Say-Smallman Records-1998
i have to say, i have seen these guy slive about 5 times in the past few years, partied with them, and listened to their cd a million times, i love it, it is amazing, sure, their singers voice gets annoying, but that isnt after you hear the cd a few times, they are so technical, i cannot even begin to try to learn how to play liek that, and tight oo, the vocals and lyrics are string, the guitars are amazing, and drummer is pumpin, overall thsi cd should be in everyones collection, they are canadian, which is another bonus, so, everyone go iut and buy this disc, i rate it an 8, and excellent listen.

BUCK-O-NINE-Libido-tVt Records
i have to say, i wasn't sure what i would think of this record, i liek buck-o-nine, but they arent one of my favorites, i have to say, i dig this album alot, it is good to listen to before you go to sleep or in the morning, or anytime to get you in a good mood, of course, almost all ska does that for me, but this is really different, i dunno how to explain it, it is slow, mellow, but it is pretty good, if you liked the other buck-o-nine albums, you should get this one, if not, you should still get it, and liek it! ha! cuz i say so, no, but, i reccomend it, the first few songs are really catchy, and wimming in sand is my mellow out chill song, so, yea, go out, and give it a listen.

SOUTH PARK-Bigger, Longer, Uncut-Trey Parker-Matt Stone.
this has got to be my favorite movie right now. hands down, no questions asked, this movie is the funniest thing i have seen in ages. all i have to say about this movie, is that they dont edit out the swears, that alone is priceless. the musicals crack me up, to the point that i cannot breath or see straight because of the tears comin out of my eyes, and chest contractions. my sides literally ache after i watch this movie, there are so many good one liners, and little things about this movie, i cannot go on more, if you want to laugh yourself retarded, and you loved south park the show, you need to see this movie, or your life just isnt complete! anyone who didnt laugh and love this movie, i would have to question, wether or not they have a soul, it is that good.

KIDS
this is propably one of my all time favorite movies, it is hilarious, and it also shows what alot of kids think about society and themselves, and how sad of a state the youth of today are in. but everyone is like that at one point in timeor another, i had my time like that, and i grew from it, everyone makes mistakes, and i think in this flik, it shows that alot, how fucked up something can get, and how much you can fuck up your life, just by one little incident. It is full of hilarious one liners and situations, it cracks me up whenever i watch it. Telley (sp?!) and Kasper are hilarious "mmmmmmmmmmmmm Butterscotch!" all the characters were good, never a dull moment in this movie, i highly reccomend it, if anything, for a good laugh, or a really big dose of reality. what can i say, i love this flik.

EYES WIDE SHUT-Stanley Kubrick-Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman
i was higly dissapointed in this flick, and as i am a huge fan of stanley kubricks this came as a huge shock to me, considering the build-up of this movie, and the fact that it took 3 years to create, and it was kubricks last film (r.i.p) i went into the film with high expectations, only to get them lost in a mindless array of sub-plots, all getting interrupted, and never given a chance to be completed, a point is never reached, and the viewer is left with nothing, it drags on for quite soemtime, and all the interesting parts did not get built on, they just ended right when interest was peaked, if this was intentionally made to confuse audiences, bravo, to me, it was a waste of 8 dollars i do not have. if you see thsi movie at all, make sure it is a rental.

STAR WARS: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace-George Lucas-Ewan Macgregor, Liam Neeson
this movie was good, because it is star wars, anything star wars will be good, wether or not it will be at the same level as the opriginals, that is yet to be seen,. this was somewhat a dissapointment, it seemed to drag on at parts, but, overall, it was a good start, good character building adn scene setting for it's predecessors, characters were established, and a few surprises, great special effects and ewan macgregor's acting is excellent, i canot wait till episode 2 and 3, that is where the action begins my friends, i reccomend seeing this one on the big screen, fuck, it's star wars!
