I Love My Computer

About my gaduation present, yay!

Alright folks, here's the low-down on Fred, my computer:
These pictures pretty much show the same thing, Fred's slim and neat exterior. The case cost only $45 and looks rather nice, I think. I'm not about to spend $200 so I can have a window to see the inside, at least not yet...
Mad props to my dad for finally breaking down and buying the (eek!) $700 monitor (which is chained to the desk with a Kensington lock just to make sure), a Princeton Graphics 751 SENergy 17" beauty with 25ms latency, the best on the market at time of purchase, still some trails tho cuz its LCD. The current background is Pieter Brueghel "the Elder"'s "Triumph of Death." Before, it was the Lutheran University Center's "Christ and Cream Cheese" which I took a photo of on my way back from class after admiring it for a few days. Hope you try out those backgrounds... Oh and way back when, I used the ol' trusty Radiohead bear So there.
The printer is a Lexmark Z55, very nice printing, very quiet, and very fast. Best impulse buy I ever made.
The speakers are Creative Inspire 5300, 5.1 surround (the sub is under the desk). Not many good places to put the speakers, so I just throw them all on the desk, not quit surround, but I can hear at least.
Here's a pic of Fred's innards, kinda messy, makes for poor air flow too, but hopefully I'll get new IDE cables for Christmas to try to clear up some of that mess.
There's a full frontal pic too, showing off my sticker application skillz and my cute little Radiohead bear magnet (made it myself!)...
Alright, down to the nitty-gritty, Fred's guts and such.
