After the bathing incident, time passed. When the Beatles weren’t making “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Beatles for Sale,” “Help,” and “Rubber Soul,” they were off with their girlfriends. Paul was with me; Ringo with Jill, John-Yoko, and George was with Jamie. Shawna grew used to being alone. She now frequently sat home and feed herself for a giggle. One day in 1966, George came from the studio early to spend some time with Jamie.
“I love you Jamie,” George said over a cup of tea.
“I love you too George,” She replied. They said this to each other a lot, often twice a day.
“No, this time I really mean it,” he said. “I want to get married.”
“To who?” Jamie asked, laughing.
“Shawna!” George answered, giggling. “Seriously, though, will you marry me?” He repeated.
“Of course I will!” Jamie exclaimed. “Let’s elope!” She said excitedly. “Just us and the rest of the gang, today!”

“Congratulate me boys, I’m engaged!” George boasted to the rest of the Beatles a little while later.
“I’m all for it!” Paul said after George explained the plan to us. “Let’s go to Vegas!” He yelled.
“I want to go!” Shwana pouted.
“You’re too fat.” John told her.
Shawna went to her room whining while Jamie, Jill, and I went to find Jamie a dress. George and the rest of the boys went to get a marriage license. Brian Epstien was sent to purchase the wedding rings; he bought a simple gold band for each. After all this was accomplished, we packed and were out the door, headed for Vegas in John’s psychedelic Rolls Royce.
Jamie’s dress was a simple off-white floor length slip dress that looked very nice on her. We had to pay extra to get it that day. George got a classic black tux that also looked nice on him. We were all quite exited, especially George and Jamie.

When we finally arrived in Vegas (we had a five hour flight) we got off the plane exhausted. Jamie and George still wanted to continue with their plans to have the wedding that day however, even though it was 11PM. We quickly booked it to the nearest chapel and arranged the ceremony. It was a short and simple wedding that lasted only ten minutes. After it was over we threw rice on George and Jamie as they headed up to their honeymoon suite. They looked so happy, like they would burst. I smiled at Paul and he held me close as we walked to our hotel room. John and Yoko were not far behind. Jill and Ringo were making out in the corner.
It was a beautiful night for romance, and that is exactly what everyone did in their rooms that night.

The next morning Paul and I made love when we woke up, and then we lay in each others arms holding each other.
“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” Paul asked.
I smiled up at him. “Not in so many words, but I know you do.”
“I love you very much. I don’t know what I would do if I ever lost you. You mean so much to me. It seems like years since I first saw you tumble from the ceiling. You looked so beautiful, I knew you were something special.” Paul said gently looking into my eyes.
“I love you too. The way everything fell together, it’s hard to believe that you love me back. It’s like it’s all a big dream. It is in a way. People can’t travel back in time unless there is a reason.” I said, confused, but never so sure of anything in my life. “It was like God knew I wasn’t meant to live in the 90’s. Like He knew we were destined to be together. We all were.”
Paul kissed me gently. Then he got up and went to his coat and got something out of the pocket. He came back with a little blue velvet box. I stared at him, shocked as he opened it and slipped a diamond ring on my finger. “Will you marry me, Samantha? I want to be yours forever.”
“Yes, I want to be with you the rest of my life.” It was my turn to kiss him. We slipped back under the covers and stayed there until the phone rang a couple hours later.
“Where the hell are you two love birds? It’s 1:30 in the afternoon!” John Lennon’s voice blared through the speaker. I giggled and sent Paul a look, “We’ve been in bed.” I informed him. “Ooooohh!” John said knowingly. “Someone got lucky this morning!”
“Yeah, I got real lucky. Paul asked me to marry him and I said yes.” I said happily.
“So he finally asked you! Well good for him. When’s the big day?”
“I don’t know. We haven’t gotten that far.”
“Well, we are in Vegas... Why not do it now?”
I looked at Paul, and he signaled me to give him the phone. I handed it over.

After talking to John, and then to me, we decided that we should just have the wedding here. We didn’t care how or when we did it; we just wanted to be joined. We took a shower - together - and got ready to go out. Before we left I called Jamie and Jill up and told them.
First I called Jamie, who had just got married herself. “Jamie!” I shrieked, “You’re not the only one who’s getting married in Vegas!”
“What?” Jamie asked, surprised. “Calm down Samantha, who’s getting married?”
“I am! Paul asked me this morning, and I said yes!” I was so happy.
“Really! Oh my gosh, that’s wonderful!” Jamie exclaimed.
“I know!” I said excitedly. “Listen, we want to get this done as fast as possible.” I started, “So I want to meet everyone in the lobby in 15 minutes. I need all your help to make the preparations.”
“Of course, anything for my best friend!” Jamie agreed and we hung up after squealing a few times. Paul gave me a strange look, but went back to reading his book. Then I called Jill and pretty much had the same conversation with her that I had had with Jamie.
Fifteen minutes later Jamie, George, Jill, Ringo, John, Yoko, Paul, and I met in our hotel lobby. “Okay guys here is the plan. Paul and I want to get married in the near future, but we need: wedding attire, wedding rings, a marriage license, and a ceremony. We need your help if we want to pull this off.”
“I figure we can pull it off to have it tomorrow if we all work together, what do you say?”
George was the first to speak up, “I know how much Jamie and I appreciated you guys’ help just yesterday with our wedding,” he paused a bit to look lovingly at Jamie, “and we would be glad to help.” Jamie nodded.
Jill of course said yes, because she is my best friend, and Ringo agreed too, because he loved Jill so. John added, “Sure, I’ll help as long as I get a kiss from the bride!” We all laughed except Yoko, who glared at me. John placed his arm around her protectively and said, “It’s all right, luv, I was just kidding.”
“All right, who wants what assignment?” I asked taking charge again. “Since we kinda need to be measured for our out fits, we should probably do that.” Paul said, and I agreed with a nod.
“I would be honored to pick out the rings, seeing as I know the bride’s taste so well,” Jamie piped in. George added, “And I know the groom so well.”
Jill said, “Ringo and I can plan the ceremony and arrange the time and stuff.”
John, last as usual, “Well then, I guess that leaves us with getting the marriage license.” He said, turning to Yoko, who agreed quietly.
And so we were off. We each went our separate ways, Paul and I headed to a nice looking dress and tux place. I found the perfect dress. It was an off white sheath that was plain but elegant. We didn’t want anything too fancy because the wedding itself would be simple and short. Paul just got a regular black tuxedo. No frills for him either. Fortunately they had our sizes, and let us purchase them that day. Whew, that part was over.
We returned to the hotel and found John and Yoko in their rooms practicing yoga. “Any luck?” I asked the two.
“Here you go, Miss.” John said handing me a square piece of paper. I smiled. “Thanks guys,” I said. I showed them my dress and even Yoko said she liked it.
After receiving hugs all around, we left in search of Jamie and George Harrison. When we reached their suite, we knocked on their door and were greeted by Jamie. “What did you find?” I asked.
“We found a few nice rings, so the salesperson let us bring a couple styles home to show you. We can just bring back the ones you don’t like.” Jamie and George showed us three matching pairs of rings, and we feel in love with a white gold pair. So now that was settled too. George and Jamie took the two we didn’t want back and we gave them the money for the ones we did want.
Jill and Ringo hadn’t gotten back yet so Paul and I decided to go to our room and rest for a while.
“Ahh,” I sighed. It felt good to be alone with Paul.
“You nervous?” Paul asked.
“No, more excited.” I said smiling up at him. He smiled back.
Suddenly, the phone rang. I jumped as Paul went to answer it. “Oh, hi Ring!” I heard Paul say. After a series of “Uh-huh’s and oh’s, and okay’s,” Paul handed the phone to me.
“Samuela!” Jill exclaimed on the other end of the phone. I smiled. That’s Jill for you, always super peppy.
“What’s up?” I asked. “Is the wedding all set?”
“Yes, of course! It’s set for 11:00 tomorrow morning. There is a little chapel right near the hotel where I’ve registered you. I’m so happy Samantha! I’m probably more excited than you.”
I smiled as she babbled on about the wedding. As I looked at Paul, I thought to myself, ‘No, you’re not Jill. No one could be as happy and I excited as I am right now.’

The wedding ceremony the next day was short and sweet. Paul and I got what we wanted. We got hitched, and in the shortest time possible. All we really wanted was to be married, and that was what we got.
After the wedding, Paul and I didn’t even go on a honeymoon. We stayed in Vegas for a few days, but that was about it.

While the rest of us were in Vegas, Shawna stayed at home. Brian Epstein put her on a diet. One day, Shawna picked up a cheeseburger. She was about to take a big bite when Brian warned, “Put them burgers down, Weir, or I’ll tell your mother of ya!”
“Shut up or I’ll sit on you!” Shawna said reaching for her cheeseburger. Brian swatted her hand away.
