The following is a collection of Irish blessings and short poems I have come across over the years. I hope you enjoy them. If you have one to contribute, e-mail me and I will add them with your name. T'anks!
" All Midi files sequenced by Barry Taylor." (If it's too hard to read the blessings with the music in the background, just click the stop button!) (The following were contributed by Theresea Kozlusky (me sister-in-law).) There's a dear little plant that grows on our Isle 'Twas Saint Patrick himself sure that set it And the sun on his labor with pleasure did smile And a tear from his eyes oft-times wet it It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the mireland And they call it the dear little Shamrock of Ireland. * A world of wishes at your command, God and his angels close at hand. Friends and family, their love impart, And Irish blessings in your heart! * When the wind is howlin' in everyone's ears, May you hear a soft, lilting breeze. And if the rain is crashin' down, May it only be dew at your knees. If the ground 'neath your feet should quiver and shake, I hope you'll be standin' with ease. And never go hungry or wantin' for much- May God grant you all that you need! * May there be a generation of children on the children of your children.* May the sound of happy music, and the lilt of Irish laughter Fill your heart with gladness, that stays forever after.* I received an email from a friend: Tommy, I have enjoyed your web-page. I also love the Irish Blessings ! This is my most favorite... May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, And the rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand. Sincerely, Diana Gately Check back often, there are t'ousands more!

There's a dear little plant that grows on our Isle
'Twas Saint Patrick himself sure that set it
And the sun on his labor with pleasure did smile
And a tear from his eyes oft-times wet it
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the mireland
And they call it the dear little Shamrock of Ireland.
* A world of wishes at your command,
God and his angels close at hand.
Friends and family, their love impart,
And Irish blessings in your heart!
* When the wind is howlin' in everyone's ears,
May you hear a soft, lilting breeze.
And if the rain is crashin' down,
May it only be dew at your knees.
If the ground 'neath your feet should quiver and shake,
I hope you'll be standin' with ease.
And never go hungry or wantin' for much-
May God grant you all that you need!
* May there be a generation of children
on the children of your children.
* May the sound of happy music, and the lilt of Irish laughter
Fill your heart with gladness, that stays forever after.
