On Memorial Day weekend, 2001, an intrepid band of backpackers from Troop 132 mounted an assault on Slide Mountain in the Catskill Mountains. The weather did not cooperate, and we became drenched to the bone by the time we reached our campsite, but we managed to have a great time regardless.

On the way home, we visited an Ostrich/Emu Ranch near the trailhead. Here are some pictures of the Oliverea Ostrich Ranch, Sonny the owner, and some of his "little buddies".
