Welcome to Linda's 1970 Dodge Challenger Page!
LAST UPDATED 03/03/2013
We bought this 1970 Dodge Challenger on March 24, 2012. It is an original Sublime, white interior, 383 2bbl, 727 automatic/console, 8 3/4 rear, car with A/C and Power Steering.
We are planning to build it as an R/T clone with a 440 4bbl. Everyone is telling me I should build this one for Linda. So that is what I will do. Either one of us is crazy about Sublime. We both like B-5 Blue with Black interior
Here are pictures of the day I got it and brought it home. Thanks to Andrew and Duane for helping, Tiffany for taking pictures, and Brian for loaning me the trailer.
Pictures of the water coming out of the oil pan, rust under the valve cover, The A/C Pump, lines and condenser coming off of the engine.
Removing the Engine!!!
Removing the Fuel Tank!
De-Greased Engine Bay!!!
Someone decided to weld in a home made trunk floor. Here I am cutting it out to get to the factory trunk floor underneath. A lot of rust between the 2 layers. A lot of work to get it cut out!!!
Pulling the transmission off of the 440.
Here is the 440 that will be used!!!
Now I am cutting the rear panel and trunk pan out!!!
Removing the front fenders and passenger door. Installing a new door outer skin.
Removed the right ste trunk extension, fitting in new piece.
Here I had it towed to Precision Collision to be put on the frame rack.
I am about a year behind in my posting pictures. Sorry about that. This is a free website and it will cost $$$ to get more disc space. I do post pics of this on FB and have a group there called
"1970 Dodge Challenger...and71"
