Swetland House
Each September we hold a living history weekend at the Swetland House in Wyoming, PA. In 2000 we were joined by Cooper's Battery, and Co. E, 2nd Virginia Infantry representing a Confederate unit. The weekend included firing and tactics demos, camp and cooking demonstrations, artillery firing, and even a small skirmish with the 2nd VA. We had in the past, and hope to again, a man who live fires a mortar, sending a 50-pound ball about 100 yards. The event coincides with an arts and crafts fair featuring antiques, antique firearms, a blacksmith, and much more.
Join us this September 15th and 16th, 2001 (unconfirmed date).
