Challenge Ratings

As has been noted in DMG when awarding experience, the challenge ratings (CRs) for encounters assume a party of four players. To modify the CRs appropriately, the following has been come up with. Normally it's assumed that a party of four 7th level characters are able to handle a creature with a CR of seven. A group of six then, should be 50% better. By this example, six 7th level characters should be able to handle a CR 9 or 10 encounter. Just as two 7th level characters should be able to handle a CR 5 or 6 encounter.
