Learning New Spells

Each spell level has a difficult rating that determines how easily a character may learn a new spell. After an initial uninterrupted study period of 1 to 30 days (GM's call), a character has a rudimentary understanding of the studied spell. When attempting to cast the spell, roll 1D20 and use the results from the following tables. Each table has a percentile chance of eliminating the need to roll a 20 sided die for success. The following tables are adapted and modified from the GM Screens for Rifts.
