Symbiote Power Category

The Symbiote Power Category is to reflect those Aesir who are the result of a normal being having come in contact with either a symbiote or parasitic entity that grants them their super powers and abilities. Most notably, this is characters like Venom, Carnage and Witchblade who come to mind.

Source of the Symbiote
1-40% - Unknown: found in the wild on Earth or Native planet and captured by researchers.
41-95% - Found in outer space either floating by itself or on a planetoid or moon.
95-100% - Retrieved from an alien world.

Implanting Organization
Experiments of this nature are almost always conducted by Ultra-Secret military organizations. There is only a 5% chance that the organism was just found or that the organization was a corporation or other entity.

Status with Organization
1-90% - Employed/Controlled by the implanting group, constantly monitored. Miscreants will be destroyed.
91-100% - Released into the world by implanting organization. May be watching actions, but not responsible for the character.

Type of Symbiote
1-25% - Single unit: Full Body. Roll 1D4+1 for abilities of Symbiote. Ignore Combination.
26-64% - Single unit: Roll for location. Roll 1D6 for abilities of Symbiote. Ignore Combination.
65-100% - Multiple units, roll 1D6 for amount. Roll once for each Symbiote on the Abilities and Location Table.

Location of Symbiote on Body
1-5% - Head
6-15% - Left Arm
16-25% - Right Arm
26-40% - Left Leg
41-55% - Right Leg
56-75% - Torso
76-85% - Internal
86-98% - Full Body
99-100% - Additional Appendage

Abilities of Symbiote
1-10% - Skills: Pick one skill program with a +10% skill bonus. This cannot be the Physical Program!
11- 30% - Weapon: Either claws, spikes or some other type of "natural" weapon. Base damage is 3D4 S.D.C. Add one additional attack per melee.
31- 55% - Armor: The symbiote provides it's host with additional S.D.C. Roll 4D4x10 S.D.C. that regenerates at a rate of 2D6 S.D.C. per hour.
56- 80% - Minor Super Ability: Roll on the Minor Super Abilities table or choose one.
81- 90% - Major Super Ability: Roll on the Major Super Abilities table or choose one.
91-100% - Combination! Roll twice on this table, ignoring any combination rolls.

Disposition of Symbiote
1-50% - Non-Sentient: Symbiote does not care what the character uses it for. +2D6 Hit Points.
51-75% - Sentient and Protective: The Symbiote has bonded with the character and tries to help. Will give signs when danger threatens. +1D4 to initiative.
76-95% - Sentient and Aggressive: The Symbiote has no particular bond with the character. It will suggest acts of violence and encourage the character to kill. +1D6 to strike, parry and dodge.
96-100% - Sentient but Different Alignment! The Symbiote has a different alignment that may not be compatible with the character! Roll 1D8 for alignment. If the character does something against the creature's alignment the abilities will not work! All are usable again after 1D6 minutes.

Symbiote Details: Except for the full body Symbiote, each Symbiote has 2D4x10 S.D.C. and adds 4D6 to the character's S.D.C. The Full Body Symbiote has 3D6x10 S.D.C and adds 6D6 to the character's S.D.C. There is also a 30% chance that each Symbiote can withdraw into the character's body without altering their physical features. A Symbiote must be exposed in order for it to function, unless rolled as internal. It takes one melee action for a Symbiote to emerge. Symbioteife can be targeted by a standard called shot (-4) unless they are withdrawn into the body. Appearance of each Symbiote is up to the player.

Other Stuff
Alignment: Any alignment can be chosen, but heroes should pick a good alignment.
Level of Education and Skill Selection: Standard; roll for education as normal.
Hand to Hand Combat: Combat skills are not automatic, they must be picked.
Attacks Per Melee (Hand to Hand): Starts with two attacks per melee as all super characters.
S.D.C.: Characters with symbiotes, start with a base S.D.C. of 30.
Equipment: Standard equipment for any Heroes Unlimited character. Starting cash is 4D6x100.
