"Wildlife of Gor"

anteater:

     (noun): more than six varieties inhabit the rainforests of Schendi. The great spined anteater grows to 20 ft in length and feeds on white ants or termites breaking apart their towering nests of toughened clay with mighty claws then darting it's 4 foot saliva coated tongue, drawing thousands into it's narrow tubelike mouth. Book 13: Explorers of Gor, pages 293 and 312

Armored Gatch:

a marsupial mammal which inhabits the rainforests inland of Schendi. Book 13: Explorers of Gor, page 312.

Bosk:   

    Though similar in build to the Yak of earth the Bosk bears the heavier form of the buffalo of earth and like him, provides, food, leather and many of the needs of the people of Gor.

Giani:

     (noun): tiny cat-sized panther of solitary habits which inhabits the low branches of ground level in rainforests inland of Schendi. Book 13: Explorer's of Gor, page 312.

Hurt:

    A kangaroo-like animal whose wool is used for cloth .

Kaiila:

    Picture a velociraptor standing 20-22 hands high, covered with a silken fur..vicious from birth, deadly, sleek and carniverous and fast. Capable of covering 600 pasangs (7/10 of a mile=1 pasang) in a day. The eyes are triple lidded against the sand storms of the desert regions.

Larl:

Gorean mountain predator, huge standing to 7' feet at the shoulder, tawny and leopardlike, it keeps to the mountains, but on occasion will raid human habitations. They sable black have a mane..bothmale & female, and there is also the maneless tawny red. Where the females are generally smaller, they are very dangerous.

Qualae:

Small three toed mammals, usually dun colored and having a stiff brushy mane of black hair.

Sleen:

The deadly hunting dog of Gor..a cross between a weasel and a Komodo dragon furred, with fangs that drip a deadly poison. 6 legged and tencious they can track a trail days old as if it were fresh, rending and killing the object of the hunt. Sleen are pack animals and cared for only by their Masters so that they are not befriended by the slave who may try to escape.

Thalarion:

Heavy, but swift these beast range nearly 40 hands in height, warm blooded reptiles, used in battle as shock troops, and a smaller bred cousin as draft animals on Gor. The Marsh Thalarion is not domesticated, but a vicious and voracious hunter.

Ul:

Giant Pterodactyl or Pteranodon, Native to the Vosk delta.

Urts:

Think reptilian rat, the size of a terrier .
