Engine 28 Information

Pipeline 28 is stationed in the Port Richmond section in the City of Philadelphia. They are currently running with a 1991 Seagrave pumper, with a 1500 gallon-per-minute pump and a 500-gallon booster tank. They are a "Pipeline" company which means they carry 10 lengths of 100ft of 5' Large-Diameter-Hoseline (LDH). A normal engine company, with a 1500GPM pump, only carries 5' LDH, whereas any engine company with a 1000GPM pump cannot be a pipeline company because of the pumping capabilities. Pipeline 28 became a pipeline in March of 1987.
