This is my Mother-In-Law
Julie Marie (Mills)Kovacs

Each of these ladies will always and forever be in my heart.
They were very special women who never knew each other,
but in many ways were so much alike.
They each were loving, caring, unselfish and dedicated mothers.
They always put everyone before themselves no matter what.
Each put their own lives and personal needs on the back burner.
This included medical needs. Everyone else had to be taken care
of first. Their arms and hearts were always open not only to their
children and family but to whom ever needed a hand or a hug.
These two women were the most stubborn and strongest willed
persons that I have ever come across (gee I must have gotten
if from my mom.) I wonder could it be because they are both
southern girls. What every was the reason each would take on
the world just to defend what and who they believed in. Both
families have stories of just that type of situation. Each has at
least one story of them taking on the school system to protect
their child more than once.
These two women with hearts of GOLD had so much love to give.
And that is just what they did. Giving Love just came natural to
them. They were much more them just mother's to their children
the were a FRIEND. They were loved by so many.
Both also loved the color BLUE!
My Mom (Mae as she went by, because she hated her first name)
was born in Alabama and raised in Nashville, TN. The only girl
and middle child in a family of 5 children. She only went to the
6th grade and went to work as a waitress right after leaving school.
She met and married my dad while he was in the Air Force when
she was 23. She had 4 children 2 boys and 2 girls. which she
raised alone after my father left. She never complained, but
did what she had to do to take care of us. I remember, her placing
a blanket on the kitchen floor where our table use to be. She
lovingly sat us down and told us that we were having a picnic.
We were to little to know any different, our furniture has been
reposed by the finance company for non-payment. She wasn't able
to give us a lot of material things, but she sure gave us LOVE.
She gave us so much love we didn't even know that we were poor.
She was there for us and she made it easy for us to talk to her
about anything. She taught us to stand on our own 2 feet and to
stand up for our selves.
Julie, The greatest of mother-in-law's was born in Beckley W.VA
She was one of nine children, 5 boys and 4 girls. She married
Kenneth in 1966. Together they had 2 children a daughter and a son
(my husband). She also raised a grandson. As a dedicated wife an
mother, Julie spend most of her life care for others, which included
her disabled in laws. She devoted over 10 years as a member of the
local Fire Dept Aux. As a giver and never a taker she always put
herself last, including her own personal health. She made you feel
loved and always welcome to her home and in her heart. She did
so much for so many. Once she touched your heart you were
blessed for life. Her caring and love can not be just pushed aside
or replaced, it remains always with you and in your heart.
BOTH OF THESE LADIES ARE VERY SADDLY MISSED
BY ME AND MANY OTHERS
BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN .
