Of all the things Zac wanted to see, his parents were the last. He was so nervous. Even though he was 24, they were going to think and treat him like he was 12 for the rest of his life. But you couldn't blame him. It was around the time Issac left for NYU. He just couldn't handle it. He needed Issac. He needed Taylor too. It wasn't so bad without Ike, because Taylor was there, but after Taylor left for Columbia, he fell apart. He lost his virginity when he was 16. Horrible it was. So he went on a search for love. He was a pimp, and wasn't all too proud of what he was and what he had become. He really was just searching for love.
When Zac saw the look on his parents faces, he would have rather of stayed in the jail cell where he spent the night. His parents paid the bail, thank the police officer, them wisked Zac off to the car so fast he didn't know what happened.
Then came the worse part. The silence.
His parents didn't say anything to each other or to him for an hour and a half. Finally, his father said.
"Zac, there is a question that has been bugging me since I first found out what you'd done. What the hell was going through your mind while did all that?" His voice was quiet, a danger sign.
Zac kept silent.
"Answer me!!! NOW!!"
Zac shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know."
"You don't know. You have said that so many times by the time you were TEN that you overused it." Walker was screaming now. "Answer me!! That's not good enough!"
"Leave me alone, alright!"
"Zac, we can't leave you alone. Your 24 years old and still act like your 12. We probably can never trust you again. This completely blows my mind."
Walker paused a minute then said. "You know your putting on your brothers and sisters? Embarressment, shame.....I don't even want to look at you."
This was strange for Zac because his parents never said they didn't want to look at him.
No one said anything else on the ride home.
Elaine sighed. She dropped a plate. Elaine was very small. The doctors said she would never be able to have childern, so when she was pregant with 5 year old Luke, all the doctors thought he was going to die, but he turned out fine, just a little small. So was his 3 year old sister, Marcy. Still, they were nervous for this baby.
She sighed, a tired little sigh. Then she began to cry.
Issac went over and massaged her shoulders. "Laney", he said. "Don't worry about it."
"Its not the plate", she replied sniffling. "Its everything. Its work, kids, stress....I just can't take it."
He gave her a hug. "Its will be alright, trust me."
"I'm also worried about your brother. Maybe you should go out to see him."
"Zac deserves whatever he gets."
"Ike that's not fair."
"I'm not fair? He can't take care of himself or complete anything without help." He let go of Elaine.
"Excalty. He needs help. He needs your help Issac. He's your his brother."
Now Issac sighed. "I know." He hugged Elaine again. "I just don't want him to turn out like Taylor."
