You and Me
What would life be like if we never met?
Darkness and sadness would rule I bet.
The world would be as desolate as can be,
No warmth, nor beauty
as we now can see.
The world without us would be incomplete,
For Love and passion is what you bring to it my sweet.
And I give the Light that brightens its every day,
While grownups work and children play.
With us the world is all embraced
In the arms of unimaginable grace.
Which always seems to be present forever
When lovers glare at us and then together
Remember how it used to be,
Before they met and were once in misery.
But now that they have come to be,
They realize the importance of you and me.
For when lovers everywhere become as one.
They need you, the Moon and me the Sun.
