Failures
I am creating this page to log failures that arrive. I am also adding requests that have been in the mail for over 6 months without a response. The longest wait I've ever had for an autograph was 2 1/2 years.
- Don Zimmer (c/o NY Yankees); returned 1/1 card unsigned on July 8. In the past he was a reliable signer but returned this card (my first request) unsigned. :-( {People say that Zimmer does sign through the mail if sent to his home address during the offseason}
- David Justice (sent c/o Cleveland); returned card unsigned after 2 months. {I am glad this card was returned to me - Justice was traded to the Yankees the day after the card was mailed & I didn't expect to see it again.}
- Steve Jeltz (sent c/o home address in Smallings #10); letter stamped
- Larry Gura (sent c/o home address in Smallings #10) - stamped Return To Sender
- ***NEW IN JANUARY, 2001*** Roger Craig (sent to home address in Smallings #10) He used to sign for free, but included price information this time.
- Requests sent in June, 2000 without a response: Mike Scioscia (c/o Anaheim); Shawn Green (c/o LA); Todd Hollandsworth (c/o LA) {Traded to Colorado after this was mailed.}
- Requests sent in July, 2000 without a response: Mark Kotsay (c/o Florida); Todd Pratt (c/o NY Mets); Damion Easley (c/o Detroit); Mike Cameron (c/o Seattle); Trevor Hoffman (c/o San Diego); Ed Sprague (c/o Boston); Jeremy Giambi (c/o Oakland); Jeff Conine (c/o Baltimore); Tim Hudson (c/o Oakland); Dave Hansen (c/o Los Angeles)
