"Mommy come on we still have so much to do today please hurry up" little Katherine stated pulling on her Mother's arm.
"I'm coming Kat gees slowly down OK" Kate replied.
Meanwhile at Nick's place.
"Hey Kev whatch need?" Nick asked letting him in it was about ten in the morning on a Monday.
"Humm can you do me a favor Nick?" Kevin asked walking in with Jerald behind him.
"Hey little buddy how's it going?' Nick questioned Jerald as he kneeled down next to him.
"It's good Uncle Nick" Jerald replied looking at Nick with his big green eyes.
"So what was it that you needed to ask me Kev?" Nick questioned.
"Uhmm could you take Jerald here to Disney World today Kristin isn't feeling very well and I don't want Jerald to get sick so would you mind" Kevin asked.
"Yea sure it's cool with me what about you J" Nick answered.
"Yup, Yup" Jerald answered.
"So you get back home to Kris make sure she OK and give her my love now go" Nick exclaimed pushing Kevin out the door.
"OK, OK thanks Nick if you can bring Jerald later as like at eight or so" Kevin responded.
"You got it see you later" Nick waved.
"Oh come on Mommy I'm hungry can we eat here" Kat asked.
"Yea honey let's go eat" Kate replied then dumping into someone.
She looked up into a pair of beautiful blue eyes that looked like they hadn't seen happiness in a while. Kate knew it was Nick right away as he knew it was her.
"Kate uhmm hey how are you" Nick asked looking her over.
'Dam she still looks the same and everything oh God what do I say how do I act' Nick exclaimed to himself.
"I'm good so who's this little guys" Kate answered see Jerald hide behind Nick's leg.
"This is Jerald Kevin and Kristin's boy I'm baby-sitting him today" Nick replied seeing Kat next to Kate.
His heart sank ever more that it had all ready had 'Her husband should be around here somewhere then' Nick stated to himself starting to walk away.
"Well I'll see you Nick I got to go" Kate exclaimed walking away.
"Mommy was the Daddy?" Kat asked once they were at the restaurant.
"Yes Kat it was" Kate replied.
'Dam he still look's the same smells the same, acts the same everything I miss him so much. However, no I can't he wouldn't understand why I did it' Kate exclaimed to herself.
"Why didn't he talk to me doesn't he now I love him" Kat retorted.
"Honey he doesn't know about you that's why so no he doesn't know" Kate answered.
"Uncle Nick who was the pretty lady" Jerald asked.
"Some one I loved a long time ago J" Nick answered as they went on.
That night Nick had taken Jerald back home by then Kristin was better and on her feet. He didn't tell them that he bumped into Kate but later that night Jerald had Kevin was a little surprised that Nick didn't say anything about it but knew in time he would come around.
The next day Brian had came over to work on some songs' for the new album they were putting together. Sense Leighanne was off filming a movie and Michael was at his parent's. This time it was going to be different they were doing everything from producing to writing there own songs' either by themselves or as a group.
"So what are we going to do today it's only humm noon and I can't think of anything else to write" Brian asked sitting down next to Nick in the couch.
"Well we could see what's on TV if anything" Nick responded flicking it on.
"Well Orlando there is a special lady that's in town today she's signing her new book at Border's tomorrow beginning at eight am so get there early I'm sure Kate Winters want's to see everyone there" the TV reported stated the showing a picture of Kate.
"Brian that's her that's my Kate what how did why didn't I know that was her. Dam Bri you got to help me talk to her I saw her yesterday and froze I know she's married and all but I have to see her will you help me" Nick pleaded.
"Yes I'll help you I just can't believe you didn't know it was her and just so you know she's not married there is a long running rumor going on that who ever this Nickolas person is that. Oh my Nick it's you I just know you're Kat father dam I should have seen it the first time I saw a picture of her daughter and she just the right age that when you were in Boulder you think no I know" Brian responded.
"Wait, wait a minutes you're telling me that I have a daughter that Kate and me have a daughter together. But why didn't she tell me why didn't she let me help" Nick stated all these questioned running though his head.
"I don't know why she didn't tell you but I would put money on it that you are the one she keeps talking about in her book's" Brian exclaimed.
"No you're wrong Bri I can't be she don't love me any more I saw it on her face yesterday I know she's probably in love with some young guy" Nick retorted sitting down.
"You're wrong Nick I know she still loves you just wait till tomorrow find out then. Meanwhile why don't we go do something you know so you get you're mind off it" Brian suggested.
"Yea I guess let's go then you drive" Nick replied as they left.
The next day Nick was up at six o'clock he never really went to bed that night to worried and excited to sleep. Kate on the other hand couldn't sleep every she was worried about Nick she missed him something terrible. The signing went as planned everything were together just right. Around noon Nick came in with Brian not far behind him Kate spotted him right away.
"Excuse me lady's and gentleman I need a fifteen minutes brake I will be back to sign more Thank you for stopping by" Kate exclaimed getting up.
She waved Nick over to the front of the line and back into the back room was Kat was sitting playing with her dolls.
"Hey Kit Kat how you doing baby?" Kate asked walking in.
"Fine Mommy" she answered then saw Nick she run to him "Daddy, daddy whatch doing here have you come to take me and Mommy home with you?"
Nick looked at Kate who nodded as if to say yes that she was his daughter.
"I don't know princess that depends on Mom" Nick answered putting Katherine down.
"Nick I need to talk to you Kat can you go with Jamie and play with you're dolls please" Kate stated.
"Yes Mommy bye Daddy I'll be back" Kat replied leaving with Jamie.
"Why didn't you tell me that I have a daughter?" Nick asked sitting down next to Kate.
"Because Nick I didn't think you would believe me I'm sorry for it but I didn't want you or anyone else thinking that I was using you" Kate explained.
"I would have believed you Kate I love you I never have stopped and I never will you are a part of me and I hope our daughter will be apart of my life to. I don't ask that we get back together but at least can I take to my daughter can I just see her make her happy?' Nick retorted tear's pricking his eyes.
"Yes Nick you can I need to get back out there can you keep her company while I do that?" Kate questioned looking at Nick for the first time sense he walked in.
"Yea I can do that thank you Kate it means a lot to me you know" Nick responded watching as Kate left. "Oh and Kate what's Kat's full name?"
"Katherine Jane Winters" Kate answered turning to leave.
Over the next few hour's Nick spent with his daughter the more he realized that he loved Kate more that life it self he hoped that she would maybe come back to him but knew it might never be.
"Daddy who was the little boy with you yesterday?' Kat asked.
"That was you're cousin Jerald Kevin and Kristin's little boy maybe one day you'll be able to met them" Nick answered brushing some of her brown hair behind her.
"So you ready to go Kit Kat?" Kate asked after the signing was over.
"Yes Mommy but can Daddy come with us I want him to please" Kat begged her blue eyes pleading with her Mom.
"I'm sorry baby but Daddy need's to get home and we need to get back to our hotel we have an early flight tomorrow" Kate responded.
"Kate what about us I mean is there even a us?" Nick asked.
"No there isn't I'm sorry Nick I.. I can't you mean so much to me but I don't want to hurt you anymore than I all ready have" Kate answered.
"What about what you wrote you said if fate bring us back together we can be together are you going back on you're word" Nick retorted.
"I don't know I need to think about OK I'll see you later come on Kat let's go" Kate replied once again walking out of Nick's life.
"So what happened?" Brian asked as he saw Nick walk out of the bookshop.
"Nothing you were right Kat is my daughter but I don't think Kate want's me she told me she didn't know" Nick responded tear's now once again pricking his eyes.
Before they left a woman came up to them Nick recognized her to be Jamie Kate's assistant.
"Can I help you?" Nick asked.
"No but I can you here this is the hotel she staying at don't tell her I gave it to you. She love's you very much it's just her pride is stopping her from telling you that good luck" Jamie exclaimed handing Nick a piece of paper.
"Man if you don't go to her and talk thing's out I'm going to kick you're butt then get Kevin, AJ, and Howie to as well" Brian stated.
"I know I know humm let's get going I need to stop by the florist to get some flower's then I'll drop you by my house OK" Nick exclaimed.
"Yea fine now come on" Brian replied while they got in.
Thirty minutes later Nick was at Kate's hotel room door wondering if he should knock or not. Trying to not loss any nerve he knocked putting the flower's down he run over to the corner and hide. Kate opened the door seeing no one there she was just about to close it when she saw the box on the floor. Picking it up she looked in side as she walked by in the room, Nick sighed to himself he was hoping this plan would what he had two hour's in which to do it. Once the box was opened Kate saw the dozen red roses each one as beautiful s the next. Spying the card she sat the box down to read what it said.
Dearest Kate
I know you told me you didn't know if you love me however, I love you with all my heart. Please consider coming to my place about mid-night tonight I know that it is a late hour and that Kat is most likely asleep. But it would make me very happy to see the both of you again.

She looked at her watch seeing that she had two hours to wait deciding to go and tell Nick exactly what she felt. An hour and a half later Kate was ready to go she woke Kat up to get her ready.
"Mommy what are you doing all dressed are we leaving now?" Kat asked sleepily.
"No honey we're going to see Daddy" Kate replied helping her daughter up.
Thirty minutes later Kate and Kat were standing at Nick door a thunderstorm had moved in and was coming in down pours. Nick opened the door see Kat and Kate standing there soaked to the bone.
"Come in please I don't want you catching a cold" Nick stated letting them in.
"Thank you Nick humm I have our thing's with us I need to put Kat down she very tried" Kate exclaimed walking in.
"Here let Brian do that if you don't mind I need to talk to you first" Nick retorted.
"Sure it's nice to finally met you Mr. Litterll I heard a lot about you" Kate stated shaking Brian's hand.
"And I about you Miss Winters I have also read all of you're book's they are all very good and please call me Brian" he exchanged.
"You got it and call me Kate it's much better that way. So Kat you'll be a good girl and go with Brian OK" Kate stated looking down at Kat.
"Yes Mommy I'll be good come on Uncle Brian can you show me my room" Kat stated looking up at Brian.
"Sure Kat Nick had one ready for you're mom I'm sure you'll love it" Brian answered taking her hand.
Both Nick and Kate watched as they left Kat wasn't not as wet as Kate was sense Kate had put her in a raincoat.
"Why don't we get you out of those wet clothes so you don't catch a cold" Nick offered walking her to his bedroom.
"It still look's the same as when I left you didn't change anything?" Kate observed.
"No I like my room this way so I'll let you change here's you suit cases I'll be right out side if you need anything" Nick replied turning to leave.
"Nick" Kate stated before he left.
"Yea" he answered back turning around.
"Thank you for never giving up on us after I get out of these wet thing's I really need to talk to you" Kate exclaimed.
"You got it I'll see what Brian is going to do I'll be back in a few" he replied shutting the door behind him.
"Hey Rok whatch planing on doing for the rest of the night?' Nick asked when he saw Brian come down the stairs.
"Well I need to get but to my hotel I'll be leaving in the morning Leigh should be home by now" Brian answered grabbing his coat.
"Thank you for all you're help Brian it means a lot to me you know that and will I love ya bro." Nick stated.
"Hey Nick I do and yea I love you to bro. Have a good night" Brian replied leaving into the night.
Slowly Nick walked back to his room waiting for a little bit before opening the door.
"Hey'' Kate stated softly when Nick enter.
Seeing her laying on his bed brought back the memories of the night they made love. He didn't know what she need to tell but he hoped it would be good.
"Hey you OK now?" Nick asked sitting down on the bed.
"I'm good a little cold but OK. Nick listen I have to tell you something now I don't want you to interrupted OK let me get everything out then you can do or say what every you wont" Kate explained.
"All right then go ahead but first how did Kat know I was her daughter" Nick replied.

"Well I told her when she was old enough to know she's loved you ever sent. You can take that anyway you want even if you want me to leave I'll understand" Kate explained.

Yes it did hurt when you felt but I knew I felt somewhere down deep that you would one day come back to me and now that you're here. I'm not letting you go ever again I love you to much" Nick exclaimed pulling Kate to him kissing her with such passion at it could have heated the whole room if needs be.

Kate pulled Nick on top of her running her hands up and down his back. Once the kiss was over they both were breathless.

That night a couple reunited making love until the sun came up the next morning. Happiness never knew a better couple to bestow upon and they truly were happy. They were married in May in a small family wedding KC, Krissy, Celeste, and Corrine were her bridesmaids. Afterward some people could have sworn they had sense angels watching over the pair. Which indeed was the truth two pair of angel to be exact they watched, prayed, and brought the pair back together after being gone from the other for so long. Nothing ever came between them again in January of 2007 Kate gave birth to a health baby boy who they named Steven Michael Carter. There love with stood the test of time and everything with it.
