"Oh! Look at the time! I need to get back to work. It was great talking to ya'll..." Beth said as she snuck out the door.
A.J. chased after her. He ran in front of her and simply asked, "How are you going to get back? You don't have a car here."
"Oh, A.J., everything is so complicated! My life is so so sooooo messed up, but every time I try to fix it, I mess up more. I need to get out! I should just go back and visit my family, but I can't! And Kevin, he's so sweet, but now I am probably going to mess up your whole tour and schedule and everything! He won't be able to just leave me again. That's why I didn't tell him I was down here. He is going to try and take care of me, but I always feel like I am a burden to him. He completely takes care of me, and all I can do is let him. I can't do anything to take care of him because he is so perfect, he's independent. I'm surpised he doesn't think of me as a parasite!" Beth rambled on and on with tears streaming down her face.
"Lizzy, that's not true," A.J. said, comfortingly, "and you know it. Kevin is too stubborn to take care of someone he doesn't love. I'm not surprised he loves you so much. You're wonderful. You can't just leave. I know by your reaction to Brian's hunch, that it is true, but that doesn't make Kevin love you any less. If you stay for awhile we will all care about you the way Kevin does."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because I care about you," he said and then whispered to himself, "and love you, Lizzy."
"Aww, A.J., you are so sweet. I love the way you call me Lizzy."
"A pretty name for a pretty lady! C'mon. Let's go back in."
"Okay, but first, let me tell you something, A.J. You need to know this."
