.:Anywhere For You-Chapter 9:.
Chapter Nine

As the weeks passed, A.J. and "Liz", as A.J. called her, grew closer. Then one day, A.J. heard some heartbreaking news. Liz had lost her job at the hospital. She was fairly short on money to begin with, and this was a disaster to her.

"A.J., listen, I need to talk to you," Liz gently requested.

"Okay, baby, what is it?" A.J. responded.

"Well, I have not been able to find a job yet, and-" Liz stated

"It's been a week! Give yourself time!'' A.J. interrupted.

"Shh, just listen. Money was tight already for me, and now my apartment is being taken away at the end of this week, and I was wondering how you would feel if-" Liz said.

"Of course you can move in with me. You are at my house all of the time anyways."

"No, well actually I was going to ask you if I could move in with Kevin. I've already talked to him, and-"

"KEVIN?!!!"

"Yes, Kevin."

"But why?!! What about me. You practically live here already!"

"Yes, but, I don't want to move that fast. It wasn't that long ago that we started dating."

"So?!! You could have your own room and everything. Don't you trust me?"

"Now I'm having regrets. You aren't the person I thought you were."

"If you loved me, then you would trust me, and we could live together."

"Don't bring that crap into this! That is so not true! If you love me, you wouldn't pressure me into this and you would respect my wishes. I thought this relationship could grow, but right now I'm ready to consider this a break up."

"No!! Please, honey. Let's both just cool off."

"Fine. I'm going to start moving my stuff to Kev's."

"So, you're still moving there?"

"Yes, that's final."

"Please, just think about it, Kevin wouldn't mind; it would be a favor to him."

"WHAT?!!"

"That's it, it's over. This relationship just ended. I can't belive you just told me to my face that I was a burden."

"You know I didn't mean that."

"I don't care. You've changed. Good-bye, A.J."

She walked herself out of his apartment and closed the door. She thought for the short time that she was waiting for the elevator if she did the right thing. She found her thoughts wandering to what Kevin would think of it. She realized it did not matter, and she was just getting herself out of a potentially dangerous situation early.

Beth stepped into the elevator and watched as the doors slowly closed. She felt the elevator descending. Her car was parked on the far side of the lot. She ambled over to her car and thought about packing. It was time to face this task head on, she realized, but to her that was normal. That was when she discovered she had not changed and reuniting with Kevin was bringing out her old beliefs. One of her traits was that she always went at things full blast, and she was ready for this.
