"I guess we should wrap it up so she can't move it and damage it further," Kevin said as he thought back to his childhood living at the camp and all of the injuries he encountered. He quickly walked into the kitchen and raumaged around beneath the sink until he uncovered a basic first-aid kit. "I knew we had it somewhere," he murmured to himself.
Brian gently lifted Angel's leg a few inches off of the sofa cushion. Kevin then carefully wrapped her leg in a long cloth bandage. He tied it snugly, and Brian gingerly replaced her leg in its prior position.
Angel had closed her eyes while this was going on. She did not want to look at her leg, and she did not want anyone to see her tears. When she opened her eyes, she realized that both Chris and Lance had left. She also saw the back of Justin walking out the door. She raised her eyebrows at Brian and motioned towards Justin. He just smiled. He did not understand what she was trying to say, but she knew it was some kind of an insult to *N Sync. One way or another, Angel had become good at making fun of them. While she was turned towards Brian, Joey also slipped out of the room.
"Hey, J.C., I think you need to rethink the morals of your group. I can't believe I was stupid enough to think any of you from *N Sync would actually care about anything other than ways to TRY to be better than the Backstreet Boys, how you look, and ways to get other people mad," Angel said angrily, but rather proudly.
"Angel...uh! Whatever! You're eleven, therefore you are not old enough to understand anything like this!" J.C. remarked. "J.C., I think you need to take a look at the Bible. First Timothy, chapter four, verse twelve states 'Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith, and purity.'" Brian said thoughtfully.
"I don't need to take this!" J.C. shouted as he left the room in a huff.
"Looks like no one from *N Sync has a heart!" Angel laughed, totally forgetting about her leg.
"Angel," Nick said in a warning tone.
They all become involved in small talk, and Angel began to feel the pain in her leg again, but did her best to ignore it.
