Name: Sarah Wilcox ["Sarah" is Hebrew for 'princess' and Celtic for 'bright' - both of which suit her] Sex: Female Height: 5‘8“ Eye Color: Dark Sapphire Blue Hair: Her hair is dark blonde, and falls to her waist when held in its usual high ponytail. She has several strands of hair that escape the ponytail and hang around her face, but doesn't really have a fringe. The ponytail is held by an aquamarine crown-like decoration. Birthday: Not Specified Blood type: Sarah is a Type A, which accounts for her perfectionist attitude as well as her success as leader of the Sailor Soldiers. However, it also encourages her to hide any failings she might have, and as a result she tells no one of her continuing mental deterioration. Build: Sarah's build is slender, well toned from her hours of physical sports, but only a bit above average in strength. She looks like an athlete without crossing into the realm of "bodybuilders". Unique Characteristics: Sarah has an almost permanent frown or disapproving look. It's just habit for her - some people smile unconsciously, Sarah just frowns. She is always wearing sneakers or joggers - unless at a formal dinner. She has her ears pierced once, and always wears a pair of golden studs in the shape of 5-pointed stars (they are also her henshin item). Senshi Name: Sailor Luciva [ 'Luciva' is a derivative of 'Lucifer', which is Latin for 'light bringer'. Lucivans speak a language similar to the Earth's Latin, and named themselves and their planet (similar to a sun) after the stars, which bring light. Luciva also has the powers of stars.] Phrase: She has no introduction phrase. Being Western, she doesn't follow the same Japanese "code of honor" and so prefers to gain an advantage by taking the enemy by surprise. Senshi Colors: Gold, aquamarine and white. Realm: Stars Henshin Phrase: Luciva Star Power!! Animal Guide: Astra is a russet (dark red-brown) Maine Coone (a particular breed on long-haired cat), with a white four-pointed star on her forehead. Astra is a descendant of the original Luciva's Guardian, so while extremely knowledgeable about Soldier matters, she doesn't know the details of Luciva's past or the fact that her change is headed for a mental breakdown. Has weak mind control powers, along with telekinesis. She's very affectionate, contrasting with Sarah's more serious attitude. Astra is mainly calm and collected, if a bit snobby - a Maine Coon is a cat of breeding, after all! - but she cares for the Soldiers very much, Sarah most of all. Astra can be a bit of a worry-wart if she's left out of the loop, if unexpected things happen that she can't explain, or if the Soldiers are in serious trouble. Fuku: Luciva wears a gold, one piece dress-suit like Cosmos, with a medium aquamarine multi-pointed star (multi-pointed, like the star on Saturn's chest) centered at hip level, from beneath which the ribbons emerge. Five white stripes run down the front three pleats of the skirt in an inverted 'v', originating at the star. She also has a large aquamarine multi-pointed star centered on her chest, which the bottom of the 'v' of the collar disappears under. She has three thin white ribbons forming a 'v' around her waist, and two slightly thicker ribbons in a small bow with trailing ties at the back (Sailor Star style in the manga). Luciva wears gold stiletto boots to just above mid-calf, the tops forming a curved 'v' with jagged edges. Small aquamarine, multi-pointed stars are at the junction of the 'v'. Her collar is white with triple gold stripes around the edge. From under the collar, double, transparent sleeves (like the Supers' single sleeve), with wavy, frilled edges appear. The top sleeve is pale yellow, the bottom sleeve is pale yellow-orange. White gloves rise to below the elbows, with double gold rings at the top. From her gold choker hangs a small gold charm. It resembles four gold spheres surrounding a central gold sphere, with a tiny aquamarine multi-pointed star hanging from it. An aquamarine stone is worn in her gold tiara, and from her usual studs hang two gold drops, with tiny aquamarine multi-pointed stars hanging from them. Transformation: As she calls her phrase to transform, Sarah reaches up to her right ear and pulls on the stud. It is magically removed (without ripping a hole in her ear) and floats up above her head, where it is joined by the other stud. They enlarge, and become stars of energy which begin to circle horizontally around, making their way down her body. A golden haze is formed between the area they circle, and as they move down Sarah's body they replace her civilian appearance with her Soldier outfit, except for any of the aquamarine stars. When the stars have finished, they draw back before tilting on their access and making one vertical loop around Luciva. The aquamarine stars appear on this loop, and the stars move back to Luciva's ears, forming the earrings last. A transmitter in the earrings alerts the other Soldiers - transformed or civilian - that Sarah has transformed and gives Luciva's approximate location. Weapons: Luciva has no weapons in this lifetime. She is unconsciously afraid to call in her staff because of its links to her past battles, and the death of her partner. Attacks: “Star Dust Sparkle!!” Raising her hands above her head, Luciva summons a sparkling glow which solidifies somewhat into something resembling fairy dust. Gesturing towards the enemy / enemies, Luciva directs the dust to blow over them, knocking them unconscious. *Note* This attack can knock allies unconscious, too, in certain cases such as a wind attack interfering. “Shooting Star!!” Luciva's main attack. On "Shooting" a space scene is shown, with one star glowing brighter than the rest before beginning to fall and hurtle towards Earth. "Star" has the shooting star arcing over Luciva, following her arm which travels in an arc from left to right, before smashing into the target. “Block Vortex Devastation!!” The large chest star from Luciva's outfit removes itself to float in front of her, glowing aquamarine. The glow deepens in color from aquamarine through to dark blue through to black. The star disappears and the glow expands, forming a black hole. Enemies are dragged inside and destroyed, then the glow abruptly disappears to reveal the original aquamarine star, which floats back it's normal place on Luciva's chest. Background: In her first lifetime, Sailor Luciva was a more easy-going friendly Soldier / Senshi. Since the planets Luciva, Fiiran, Ceran and Kaelir had formed an alliance some decades ago, the four warriors were close friends as well as a team used to fighting under Fiiran's command. Even with opposing personalities and outlooks on life, Fiiran and Luciva were best friends and a formidable team in battle. Luciva was not the most focused of fighters, so it was probably a good thing that the Andromeda system was not often at war. However, one of the few times they were attacked it was by an unknown force and the girls found themselves slightly outmatched by the enemy forces. Distracted for one moment in battle, Luciva failed to see an attack headed for the already occupied Fiiran from the warrior Luciva was meant to be fighting. As her leader died in her arms, something inside Luciva snapped. Even as she in turn was killed, and her planet destroyed, Luciva vowed that she would never be so distracted or unworthy of her powers again. On Earth thousands of years later, Sarah Wilcox was born to a wealthy family who promptly left her to be raised by a succession of employees. She quickly learned to hide her confusion and anger at being abandoned, and tried to be 'perfect' in the hopes of getting her parents to notice her. When Sarah was 15, random youma began a jump across the Pacific Ocean from Japan to Australia, awakening the sleeping Luciva inside her. Finding that Ceran and Kaelir had also been reborn on Earth, Sarah found herself elected as new leader. The girls found they had acquired a mysterious guardian in the form of Sailor Sol, a male Soldier belonging to this system. Sol occasionally assisted the girls in battle, rather like Tuxedo Mask (but with a much better outfit and powers), but never stuck around and rarely talked, much to the disappointment of Sarah, who found herself slightly in love. The twin Soldiers Aurora and Borealis appeared at the same time as a new breed of monsters searching for "pure hearts". Borealis' lazy attitude grates with Luciva's more serious approach, causing some arguments between the two. Sarah continually remarks that she finds it amazing that the monsters would consider Borealis, or Brian in his civilian form, as the carrier of a pure heart. Early the next year, for her 16th birthday, her parents sent her a Maine Coon. Recognizing her previous Guardian, Starr, in the cat, Luciva was informed that Astra was a descendant, not a reincarnation, as Starr had died of natural causes. Astra smugly informed the Soldiers that she had awakened at the same time they had, but had been forced to wait for an opportunity to travel to Australia from her native America. As luck would have it, Sarah's parents were looking for a long-haired cat for their daughter and visited her breeder. Astra quickly 'convinced' them that she was their best choice, thanks to a little mind control. Lately, things haven't been going so well for Sarah, though. Hazing images of a flame-haired warrior fighting alongside her keep haunting her dreams, as does the terrible feeling that something awful happened and that it was her fault. Becoming more and more unstable as more memory fragments return, Sarah is beginning to dread transforming and awakening new memories. But the attacks began again, this time a concentrated attack from a source in Australia. Heading into battle once more, Sarah has no clue how close to self-destruction she really is. Favorite Food: Pasta Least Favorite Food: Zucchini Favorite Color: bronze and russet Favorite Animal: long-haired cats Favorite School Subject: PE because she likes physical sports, especially track events Least Favorite Subject: Also PE, as the other students tend to slack off and not take it seriously. Favorite Gem Stone: Not Specified Strengths: A good leader, in good command and understanding of her team; fairly strong physically. Weaknesses: Expects the most from everyone all the time; Luciva's memories are driving her to a breakdown. Inabilities: Can't relax, or accept that others want to relax. Talents: Hurdles and high jump; a good leader - understanding but always demanding the best of her Soldiers. Hobbies: Nearly any sport Family: Not Specified Goals/Purpose: As a human, Sarah's goal is to earn a high mark for her HSC while still performing excellently at sports. As a Soldier, Luciva's goal is to protect her new home of Earth and find (and destroy) whoever destroyed her home planet of Luciva. Future Goals: To represent Australia at the Olympics for hurdles and/or high jump Became a senshi: In the ‘Background‘ section Personality: To put it bluntly, Sarah is a perfectionist. She demands the best from everyone, all the time. And she's even harder on herself. She's friendly enough to her friends and acquaintances, casual and cool, always holding part of herself back. While some of that may be attributed to her being a Soldier, Sarah was like this even before she became Luciva. Circumstances in her past, both human and her past life as Luciva, have damaged Sarah's confidence in herself and her judgment, so she now finds it impossible to relax, lest she be caught off guard or found less than worthy. Her lack of confidence doesn't extend to leading her team - in battle she excels. She knows her team, knows how to motivate them and when to threaten them. As more of Luciva emerges she becomes more of a strategist - and also harder on herself as forgotten memories appear. To others, Sarah appears the confident, perfect girl. Inside is another story. Sarah's a breakdown waiting to happen. And the more she remembers, the closer she gets to the edge... By:
