“Where is it, Mars?” Sailor Venus panted, trying to keep up with the other running scouts.

“I think it’s close…there!” Mars pointed a gloved finger at the park ahead. “And apparently it’s not a youma…they’re HUMANS!”

“Negaverse humans, no doubt,” Mercury added. A blue visor stretched across her eyes as she typed frantically on her computer.

“Stop the researching and let’s get battling,” Sailor Jupiter complained when she saw her blue-haired companion looking over the park area, detecting the screams.

At that very moment, two girls dressed in Sailor Scout attire leaped over, racing ahead of them. Their feet hit the sidewalk with pattering noises as they jumped and dodged confused people, heading in the direction of the children’s playground. The Inner Senshi stared. Immediately Mercury shut off her computer.

“Let’s move!” Sailor Moon shouted.

The five girls headed on the same route the mysterious scouts had taken. They skidded on the grass as they saw the two girls closely and the people they were facing.

“Stop hurting innocent citizens! Who are you?” they heard the Senshi with the long brown braid ask.

One of the women, with short black hair, snarled, “Get out of the way, you pathetic creatures.”

The other Senshi, a redhead, looked livid with anger. “Pathetic? Look at you! You’re tormenting children!”

Sailor Moon gasped as she saw a group of children huddled under the play structure, whimpering. She saw their trembling bodies and frightened looks and immediately knew that these humans had been looking for Rini.

“How dare you!” Sailor Moon yelled.

The other villain who was a blond turned and let out a low laugh. “Looks like we have company, Rage.”

The Senshi with the brown braid turned. Her hazel eyes were full of surprise and joy.

“Thank goodness you’ve come! I thought we might need some reinforcements!” the Senshi laughed.

The redhead nodded. “I agree.”

Sailor Moon led her Senshi over.

“Looks like there’s no time for introductions,” Sailor Jupiter growled.

“Not for us!” Sailor Mars laughed.

“This is boring. Can’t we just take them out right now?” Rage complained.

“Nah let them do their speech things. We have time,” the blond replied.

“I don’t think so. Let’s make it short and sweet,” the girl with the brown braid replied. “I am…Sailor Earth! Move it, girls, and let me have a shot!”

“I am…Sailor Phoenix! Let the firebird do its work!” the redhead laughed.

Mars burst, “These are the girls you met, Mercury!”

Mercury stared and nodded.

“Enough is enough!” Rage growled. “C’mon, Vengeance, let’s kill them already.”

“We can’t kill them, but let’s get pretty close,” Vengeance laughed.

“Oh yeah?” Jupiter snapped. “Jupiter…Thunder…Blast!”

While these words were spoken, Sailor Jupiter had charged a ball of lightning and hurled it at Vengeance. Vengeance stared at it calmly, raised her hands, and screamed, “Vengeance is mine!” Jupiter’s attack stopped in midair and turned, heading right towards the brunette.

“Jupiter!” Venus screamed, pushing her out of the way just as the ball of lightning streaked past them.

“Oof, thanks Venus,” Jupiter groaned.

“This is getting annoying,” Rage moaned. “All right. Let’s have some fury power.”

The black haired girl smiled wickedly and pointed her index finger. Red light began soaring past her, blowing her short hair. Rage’s smile grew and she let out a cold laugh as hundreds of arrows began soaring, top speed, at Sailor Mars.

“Mars…Fire…Ignite!” Sailor Mars bellowed, sending out a globe of fire. The arrows and fire met in midair, and Sailor Mars gasped as the arrows penetrated the fire and melded into a ball of energy, bashing into the raven-haired Senshi and sending her flying backwards.

“Sailor Mars!” Sailor Moon shrieked, as her friend lay there, motionless.

“One down, six more to go,” laughed Rage as Sailor Mars groaned softly.

“Mercury…Bubble…Blast!” Sailor Mercury cried, sending out a large bubble. It blocked Rage’s sight.

“Aaaaah! Vengeance, I can’t see!”

“You’ll pay for that,” Vengeance growled. She took out a glittering knife and turned to Sailor Earth. “Watch your new friend die!”

Sailor Earth felt like her feet were glued to the ground as Vengeance grabbed her, forcing her to the ground. The knife was at Sailor Earth’s throat as she struggled against Vengeance’s strong grip. There was a flash of light.

Vengeance stared in fury and amazement as a red rose pinned her knife to the ground. She looked up, releasing Sailor Earth, seeing a tall man in a suit and a black cape there, wearing white glasses and a top hat.

“New heroes are always welcomed, through good times and bad. But as for new villains, that’s a different story!” the man announced.

“Tuxedo Mask!” Sailor Moon squeaked in delight, jumping up and down.

Sailor Earth rose to her feet. She winked at Sailor Phoenix, who nodded.

“Phoenix…Flame and Heat Eruption!”

A wave of flames and heat soared at Vengeance. Vengeance shrieked in pain as it engulfed her, leaving her burned and weak. Rage had wiped away the bubble and gasped at Vengeance’s burnt form.

“How dare you!”

“Venus…Crescent Beam Smash!”

Sailor Venus’ blond hair blew out behind her as she pointed her fingers. Yellow beams of light shot from her hands, blasting Rage in the stomach. Rage groaned but sent out a flash of red light, knocking Venus and Jupiter backwards. The two Senshi moaned, in the same state as Sailor Mars.

“No!” Sailor Mercury screamed. “Mercury—“

She was cut off as Vengeance, although weak pounced on her. Vengeance’s strong hands smacked Mercury’s head, knocking her out. Sailor Moon gasped as Tuxedo Mask jumped down, protecting her from harm. Sailor Earth did not notice the man’s appearance, infuriated with the whole thing.

“I’ve…had…enough,” she growled. “Earth! White Coil Attack!”

At the same time when she called these words, white stars and moons twisted into a spiral behind her. She pointed her finger. The coil behind her unwound and zoomed top speed at Vengeance. Before Vengeance could do a thing, the line of stars and moons had crashed into her, sending her into a tree.

“No! You lousy little piece of…” Rage didn’t finish, lunging at Sailor Earth. Sailor Earth felt Rage’s hands around her throat, trying to strangle her. Sailor Earth gasped for breath as Rage’s fingers began to tighten, cutting off her air supply. She floundered around, losing consciousness.

“Moon Tiara Magic!”

A golden tiara soared at Rage’s hands. Rage bellowed and pulled away, the tiara soaring back to its owner. Sailor Earth inhaled mouthfuls of air, thankful that she was alive. She looked at Sailor Moon.

“I am Sailor Moon, the champion of love and justice! I will not allow you to continue hurting others in this way! In the name of the moon, I will punish you!”

“Princess…” Sailor Earth croaked, getting her knees in front of Sailor Moon.

Tuxedo Mask reached down and helped Sailor Earth to her feet. Sailor Earth caught a glimpse of his loving eyes. Sailor Phoenix roared with anger and cried:

“Phoenix Resurrection!”

The fiery phoenix soared at Rage. Rage’s eyes narrowed as the firebird crashed into her. The black-haired girl stumbled over to Vengeance’s side and weakly lifted Vengeance over her shoulder. In a flash of gray light, the two gray robed figures vanished.

“Cowards!” Sailor Phoenix laughed, letting out a cheer.

The other scouts were slowly regaining their composure. They stood up shakily, looking at Sailor Earth in Tuxedo Mask’s arms and Sailor Moon standing beside him. Sailor Phoenix brushed off her gloved hands, turned to Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Mercury, and gave them a thumbs-up. Sailor Jupiter did the same.

“Are you all right, Miyo-chan?” Tuxedo Mask asked before he could stop himself.

“Miyo-chan…the name seems so familiar,” Sailor Earth mumbled.

“Do you remember me?” Tuxedo Mask asked. He took off his glasses and hat, revealing the face of Darien Shields. Sailor Earth’s eyes widened.

“Darien…” she gaped as he let go of her and walked to Sailor Moon. Sailor Earth and Sailor Phoenix immediately recognized the girl with the blond meatball shaped buns and blond pigtails.

“Serena!” Sailor Phoenix and Sailor Earth exclaimed in unison. Then everyone burst out laughing.

“We’ve been found out,” Sailor Mercury giggled.

Everyone de-transformed except for Darien, who stayed in his cape and suit. Serena smiled warmly at Phoebe and Rose.

“It really was you, like Amy said,” she murmured.

“It’s us, yeah,” Rose admitted.

“I’m Lita,” Lita introduced. “These are Rei and Mina,” she added, gesturing to the two girls Rose and Phoebe did not know.

“Hey, Mina, weren’t we on the volleyball team?” Phoebe suddenly remembered.

“Oh yeah! We were!” Mina chuckled.

Phoebe, Rei, Mina, and Lita soon were engaged in a conversation about volleyball. Rose laughed gently, seeing two cats, one black and one white, go over to Amy, who was typing on her computer. Serena ran over to join Amy while Darien, still dressed in his Tuxedo Mask uniform, went over to Rose.

“Night is falling,” he informed, looking up at the starry sky. “The children are leaving. We must talk, the two of us.”

Rose did not know why he would want to talk but she nodded. “If you want to talk, I will talk with you.”

Darien took Rose’s hand and led her over to the fountain in the middle of the park. No one was around, it being a cool night, and he sighed, watching the water trickle. Rose stuck her hand, catching the cool drops and letting them fall back into the pool of water. The two sat in silence for a while, savoring the cool night air and the sounds of the crickets beginning to chirp. Rose saw the moon cast its silvery glow on the grass.

“You know how you are Sailor Earth?” Darien asked.

“That’s a rhetorical question,” Rose giggled but stopped when she saw how serious Darien looked.

“Lift up your bangs. Please.”

Confused but willing, Rose pushed her brown bangs away from her forehead. Darien stared at the symbol on it: the circle with the cross through it. Rose gaped as the exact same symbol appeared on Darien’s forehead. A thread of light shone between the two symbols, connecting them. When Rose let her bangs fall over her forehead again, the light vanished and the symbol on Darien’s forehead disappeared.

“I guess you’re really a male Sailor Earth or something,” Rose whispered gloomily, turning away.

“No,” Darien argued hurriedly, taking her face in his hands and twisting her back over to him. His eyes pierced into her own. “You are a princess. We both have a significant role on this planet. Although I may be first-born and Prince of Earth, I am not Sailor Earth. You are. You are the leader of the Gaea Scouts and I—“

“How do you know all this?” Rose growled, tugging herself out of his grasp. “How come you know all this and I don’t? How come?” “You know those two cats? Luna, who belongs to Serena, and Artemis, who belongs to Mina, both remember their times on the Moon Kingdom. Comet never told you because he wasn’t sure himself, and he lived in Elysion,” Darien informed. Rose’s eyes filled with tears, partly from frustration at being left out and partly from her confusion. “I don’t understand!” “Oh, Rose,” Darien comforted, taking her into his arms and letting her sob into his shoulder. “Hush…” “I don’t care if Serena sees us,” Rose hiccupped.

“She won’t care,” Darien murmured. Now it was time to tell her. “Because I am your brother.”

Rose’s expression was one of shock and joy. A huge smile spread across her face.

“Is…is it true? Are we really brother and sister?” She laughed joyfully. “I’m not alone in the world! Is it really true?” Darien nodded. “Queen Serenity, Serena’s mother, decided that on Earth we’d be born to different sets of mortal parents. But we are brother and sister. In Elysion, we had a special bond.”

“Of course,” Rose murmured.

Darien leaned down and kissed Rose on the cheek.

Rose smiled and touched his face.

“You know, there is a similarity,” Rose notified. Darien replied, “Luna said we both have the same loving face.”

In gratitude for this comment, Rose brushed her lips gently on his cheek. The two stood up, ready to head back to the others. Rose cupped her hands and caught some water. She let it flow back in, and Darien and she leaned over to compare their reflections.

“There really is a resemblance, huh brother?” Rose chuckled.

“Yeah.”

The two walked slowly back to their friends, watching the moon’s rays touch the earth.
