??Straight Edge or Hypocrite??

           If you are straight edge, ask yourself this question.  
If you say to yourself "yea I am," I can be you money your not.  Being straight 
edge is fake!!!  A majority of the straight edge population doesn't even 
know what a real straight edge is or even where the term came from; the downfall
to these people is ignorance.  What is wrong with saying that you are clean 
or drug/alcohol free??? Instead of using the fallacy of being "Straight Edge." 
If you are straight edge read on and you might learn something. 
           Definition
Straight edge is a philosophy based on self-preservation and abstinence 
from the "poisons" (alcohol, illegal drugs, cigarettes, promiscuous sex, and 
etc..) many consume each day. Yes, that does say promiscuous sex. I see that almost 
all of the straight edge population can live easily with out alcohol, illegal drugs, 
and cigarettes.  But there are very few out there that can live with out the pleasures 
of promiscuous sex. So if you enjoy the pleasures of promiscuous sex, stop lying 
to yourself as being straight edge!!!  If you question the theory about promiscuous

           Straight Edge Origin
It developed as an offshoot of the punk rock/hardcore scenes of the early
1980's when the term itself is believed to have been coined by Ian Mackaye, 
in the self titled song, while he was the singer of the seminal hardcore band, 
Minor Threat. Mackaye eschewed the nihilistic tendencies of punk rock, 
promoting instead the simple (almost simplistic) philosophy of "don't drink/ 
don't smoke/ don't fuck." 
           Conclusion 
You're not straight edge, getting drunk and doing drugs just got boring so you 
decided to quite and use the "cool word," straight edge as a cover. My writing of 
this is the result of seeing many people in my high school's graduating class and in 
college lying to themselves. And I'm basically tired of seeing it, so I though I 
would use my page as a billboard to get my point across.  I have no problem 
with the real straight edge population, just the posers.  So if you're are 
one of the few, true straight edge, than ignore my ramblings.  
Lastly, I see that the straight edge population making fun of the crowd that has
decided to drink alcohol and smoke.  Do you think that this will make them want to 
stop?? Of course not, it just makes them hate straight edge people more. And maybe 
they will even drink more to despite them. THE END...for now!!!

so the next day it rains the criticism of straight edge will resume.
