Chapter Fourteen

"Oh my god!" Michelle yelled aloud, "I can't believe it. Yes, Chris had gone to school with her sister, but the most shocking part was that he had gone out with her. He was the one that her mother hated. Michelle read what he wrote under his picture over and over again....

Hey honey,
I can't believe we're seniors next year, can you? We're going to be outta here soon! We have to go places this summer! Talk to ya later. I love you,

Chris

She dropped the year book out of her hands and backed up against the wall. 'What am I going to do?' Michelle thought.

Then, all of a sudden, it hit her. 'Yes, that's what I'm going to do,' she thought as she walked back over and picked up the yearbook. She took one more look at his picture and then put it in her box.

After she got done with taking the boxes downstairs, supper was ready. She walked into the dinning room and sat down. "Daddy, how are you?" Michelle asked.

"Fine," he said, "it's good to see you. Lord knows we haven't seen you in a while!"

"Oh daddy, you seen me three weeks ago!" she exclaimed.

"I know, but you need to come home more often," he said.

"I know," she said.

After dinner, Michelle packed her boxes into her car and said goodbye to her parents, then left. She got home that night around 7:00 and went straight to her room to unload the boxes. By the time she was done, it was 8:30. She went into the living room and sat down.

"Hi," I said as she sat down.

"Hello," she said.

"So, how did it go?" I asked.

"Good," she replied.

"What was in those boxes?" I asked.

"Just junk," she said.

"Oh," I said and shut up.
