Chapter Nineteen

"Um...In here," Chris said nervously.

'Huh?' I thought to myself.

The door slowly opened and a beautiful blonde walked in. "There you are. I've been," she stopped mid sentence when she saw Michelle and me, she then snobbishly said, "I'm Dani and you are?"

"I'm Michelle," my sister stated just as snobbish.

"And you are," she asked me.

"Jen. It's nice to meet you," I said and held out my hand.

"Oh, did Chris give you an autograph or something?" she asked and sat down.

I dropped my hand to my side and said, "No, but we have to go. It was nice seeing you again Chris, bye." I then quickly walked out of the room.

Michelle gave Chris one more glance and left the room to go find me. "Jen, wait up," Michelle called to me.

"What," I said and turned around.

"Your not jealous are you," Michelle asked and smiled devilishly, taunting me.

"No, but she didn't have to be so arrogant," I said as we walked out of backstage.

"Jen...Jen, wait up," Chris yelled.

I stopped and allowed him to catch up with us.

"Look, I'm sorry for Dani's attitude. She gets jealous when I'm around pretty girls," he said and waited to see my reaction.

"It's okay," I said and looked down at the ground.

"I'd like to keep in touch with you. We're here tomorrow too. Would you like to hang out with us tonight?" he asked.

"I don't know," I began until Michelle cut me off.

"We'd love to," she said smiling.

"Okay, we're going to go to Club X. So, I'll meet you there?" he asked.

"Yeah, see you soon," I said smiling.

"Great, okay. I'll see you there. This is good," he said smiling back at me and backing up towards the door, "well, bye."

"Bye," I said.

"Bye," he said again and then disappeared backstage.

"Yes!" Michelle screamed.

"Calm down," I said as we walked into the parking lot.

We soon arrived at Club X and Michelle had changed in the car and was now wearing a short black miniskirt and an extremely revealing blue shirt.

We got out of the car and walked in. We didn't see them anywhere so we sat down at a table and got something to drink. Michelle got a pepsi and I got a margarita.

"Hi," somebody said behind me. I turned around in my seat and discovered it was Andy, a boy who I am good friends with.

"Hi," I said as he sat down next to me.

"So how was the concert?" he asked Michelle and I.

"It was amazing," Michelle gushed.

Meanwhile, at the other side of the club, Chris and his friends arrived. Chris looked around for me and saw me at a table with another guy. He made his way across the club and walked over to our table. "Hi Jen," he said.

"Hi Chris," I said.

"Hello Chris," Michelle said.

"Hi," he replied.

"Why don't you sit down," I said, motioning for him to sit down next to me in the other seat, across from Andy.

He sat down and looked at Andy. "Hi, I'm Chris," he said and held out his hand.

"I'm Andy," Andy said and shook hands with Chris.

"Well, I have to go," Andy said and stood up, "I'll see you guys later."

"Where's Dani?" I asked.

"She's here somewhere," he said.

"There you are Chris. I've been looking all over for you," Justin started, "why hello there," he said to Michelle.

"Hi," she said flirtatiously.

"I'm Justin, and you are," Justin asked.

"Michelle," she said.

"Michelle, would you like to dance?" he asked.

"Sure," she said and stood up.

"So, how have you been these last few years?" Chris asked me.

"Uh, good. It's been quite boring, but good," I said, "how about you, Mr. Superstar?"

"Busy," he said laughing. His laugh was contagious and I soon began to laugh also.

"So," he began and put his hand on mine, "are you seeing anyone?"

I looked down at his hand, then I looked him straight in the eye. I saw a look that I hadn't seen in years, it was indescribable. "No, I'm not currently seeing anyone," I said.

"Oh," he said and brushed away some stray hair off of my face.

"What is going on here?" Dani demanded to know. There she stood behind Chris with her hands on her hips.

"What? Oh, nothing," Chris said.

"Right, c'mon Chris, let's go," she said and pulled him out of his chair.

"Bye Jen," he said as Dani pulled him away.

"Bye," I said almost above a whisper. I put my head in my hands, that boy was so confusing. One minute he made me feel like nothing matters, the next he made me feel like I was so far away.

Meanwhile, Justin and Michelle were having fun of their own. Justin just loved how her skirt raised when she moved.

"Girl, you drive me crazy," he whispered in her ear. He held his hands on her lower back, but he lowered them down as they danced. Once they reached where he wanted them to be, he started to kiss her neck.

All she could think was 'Wow, is this really happening. Justin Timberlake is in front of me and kissing me.' She moaned as he began to kiss her collarbone.

"Do you like this," he asked.

"Yes," she said as one of his hands began to travel up her skirt. She ran he hands across his muscular chest and then wrapped them around him.

"Would you like to finish this somewhere else?" he asked.

"Sure," she said.

"Follow me," he directed as he began to head for the door.

"Are you all alone," someone asked me.

I turned around and saw a tall, handsome man. "Yes," I said.

"Why don't I buy you a drink," he said.

"Sure," I replied, "I'm Jen."

"Mike," he said, "would you like another margarita?"

"Sure," I said as he walked over to the bar.

A few minutes later he returned with our drinks. "Here you go," he said and set down the drinks.

"Thank you," I said and took a sip of my drink.

He looked at me for awhile and started to make me feel uncomfortable. "Your so beautiful," he said and began to play with my hair.

"Thank you," I said and looked down.

Chris had been on the other side of the club and was watching Jen for awhile.

"Chris, are you paying attention to me?" Dani asked.

"Huh? Yeah. Yes, I'm paying attention to you," Chris stuttered.

"What were you looking at?" she asked, looking in the direction that he was previously looking in.

"Nothing," he said.

"Yes you were. Now what were you looking at?" she asked angrily.

"Nothing, just drop it, " he said as Joey came up to them.

"Hey guys," Joey said.

"Hi," I said.

"Hello," Dani said annoyed.

"Am I interrupting something?" he asked.

"No," I said.

"Yes," Dani said.

"No Joey, you really weren't," I said.

"You know what Chris, I don't know what's going on, but I don't like it. Give me your car keys, I'm leaving," she said.

He reached into his pocket and took the car keys out and said, "Now remember, this is a rented car, so be careful."

"Ugh, I will," she said and snatched the keys from his hand and left.

"Ouch," Joey said as she left.

"Joey, will you do me a favor," Chris asked.

Mike was still playing with my hair when someone walked up to me and kissed me on the cheek. Before I could look to see who it was, the person said, "Hi sweetheart."

Mike took one look at the guy and quickly departed.

"Huh?" I asked confused as I turned to see who it was.

"Hi, I'm Joey," he said and sat down.

"Um... Hi," I said, confused because I hadn't met him before. There was a period of silence.

"This is uncomfortable," he said.

"Yeah, but, can I ask you a question?" I asked.

"Sure, ask away," he said.

"Why are you here, and why did you do that?" I asked.

"I was helping a damsel in distress," he replied.

"Oh," I said.

"Am I interrupting anything?" Chris asked as he approached the table.

"No," I said.

"Good," he said and sat down.

"Well, I'm going to go. It was nice to meet you Jen," he said and left.

"Why do I feel like that was planned?" I asked Chris.

"I don't know," he said and smiled.
