"RING, RING, RING" rang the telephone as it woke me up. "Who is that?" I said angrily. I rolled out of bed and picked up the phone. "Hello," I said, really annoyed. "Good morning sunshine," said Chris, as cheery as can be. "Hi," I said and sat up straight. "What were you doing?" he questioned. "Sleeping," I said. "Still? It's 10 in the morning, you have to get up," he said, "What time did you go to bed?" "I think 7, but I'm not sure," I said and walked out of my room. "Why?" he asked. "Because Michelle had a rough night," I said. "What? Justin couldn't get off? That's a first I must say," he said laughing. "No, he has a girlfriend," I said shortly. "Oh," Chris said quietly. "And you knew about this? Why didn't you tell me? I obviously don't know you," I said, raising my voice. "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking," he said desperately. "Does he do this often or something?" I asked, thinking of how many others he's done this to. "Not a lot," he said, defending him. "How much is 'not a lot' Christopher? Hmmm? Ten, twenty, or possible thirty!" I said, raising my voice even louder. "No, not that fucking many," he said, matching his voice with mine. "Oh really, well there is still that few," I said, lowering my voice. "I know, I'm sorry," he said, "I'm really am. We shouldn't fight, we just met up again and we're already fighting." "We always used to fight over the silliest things," I said laughing. "Do you remember?" he asked. "Yeah, I think I remember everything," I said. "I'm really glad you do. You know, I never thought I'd see you again, but I'm really glad I did," he said.
"Me too. So, tell me about Justin's girlfriend," I said. "Her name is Maricar and she was are opening act on the last tour along with Britney Spears. She is nice, harmless, she's not one of those psycho chicks from Fatal Attraction," he said laughing at his last remark. "Does she know," I asked weakly. "Yeah, I really think she does, but she doesn't show it. Just the way she acts around Justin now compared to the way she acted around him a few months ago. Big difference," he stated. "Lets drop that subject, we're going to end up in another fight," I said. "Well, you brought it up," he said. "So? Does it look like I care," I asked. "Yes," he said. "Whatever, but I do have a question for you," I said. "Yes madam," he said. "So now what’s going to happen to us?" I asked. "What do you mean?" he asked. "You’re not always going to be here, how are we going to stay in touch?" I asked. "Well, let's see. I'll call you, write you letters, come and see you, and you'll do the same," he said. "Oh," I said sort of disappointed. "What's the matter?" he asked. "Nothing," I said. "Well, are you still coming tonight?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm still coming," I said. "That's good," I said. "I have to go, so call me when you get here. Do you have my cell phone number?" he asked. "No," I replied. "Okay," he said and then gave it to me, "call me when you get here. Don't forget." "I won't, bye," I said. "Bye," he said and I hung up. Today is going to be a long day.
