"Yeah," I said.
We walked into the dressing room so I could grab my purse, and then we headed toward the bus. They were still on their last song so Dani and I decided that I'll meet them at the hotel.
"You know which one we're staying at right?" she asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Okay, I guess I'll see ya there. Meet me in the looby," she said and got onto the bus.
I then walked into the parking lot and got into my car. I reached the hotel twenty minutes later and I parked my car. I went into the hotel and sat down on one of the couches in the lobby. The one couch next to the one I sat on was where I found Michelle last night.
I began to think about yesterday when Dani and the guys walked in. She walked up to me and said, "Do you want to go swimming?"
"I don't have a bathing suit," I said.
"I have an extra one," she persisted and dragged me toward the elevator.
When we got in, she pressed the button for floor 3 and said, "Joey came up with the idea. He said he wanted to see you in a bathing suit."
I laughed when she said that and said, "Well, there's not much to see."
The elevator door opened and we walked into the hallway.We reached the door and she opened it. She walked in and I followed her. She dug into her suit case and handed me a white bikini.
"I don't think this will fit," I said.
"Just try it on," she insisted. "Okay," I said and walked into the bathroom.
I pulled a gumband out of my purse and tied it into my hair. I pulled off my shirt, I took off my bra and put the top on. In my opinion, it showed too much cleavage.
I took off my pants and underwear and put on the bottoms. My butt isn't that small, so it showed some of it.
I poked my head out of the bathroom and was about to say something to Dani, but she wasn't there. Instead Chris was sitting on the bed, obviously waiting for me, "Chris, could I borrow an old tee shirt?"
He looked at me and said, "Sure." He walked over to a suitcase, pulled out a white tee shirt, and tossed it to me.
"Thanks," I said and closed the door. I put it on and put my pants back on as well. I wrapped my bra and panties into my shirt and stuck them into my purse.
When I walked out, Dani was there now and was getting something out of her suitcase.
"I'm ready," I said and Chris and she looked at me.
"Okay, lets go," he said and stood up.
"Doesn't the bathing suit fit?" she asked.
"It's a little too small," I said.
"Joey would like that, right honey," she said teasingly to Chris.
"Huh? Yeah," he said and looked at me. He turned his head and walked over to the door. He opened it and let Dani and I out of the room.
The three of us walked over to the elevator and got in. We went through the lobby and walked over to where the pool was. Nobody was in there yet. We walked over to the chairs and put our stuff on them.
I took of my pants and grabbed a towel off the rack. Chris and Dani were already in the pool, so I just sat down. Just then, JC and Joey walked in and Chris said, "Hey, where's Lance?"
"Oh Audry is here," Joey said.
JC and he looked at each other and started to laugh. They got in and the four of them started to play a game.
Ten minutes later I finally decided to get in. I went into the shallow end and stayed there because I'm not too fond of pools. 'Yeah, this is fun,' I sarcastically thought to myself since no one was talking to me. I sat down on one of the steps and watched them play chicken. My mind began to drift and I thought about various things.
Half an hour alter, I guess they realized I was there. "What's wrong Jen?" Dani asked.
"Hmm...Oh, nothing," I said.
"You look bored," she walked and swam toward me, smiling evilly.
"Why do I feel scared?" I asked.
"I don't know," she said sweetly. All of a sudden I got bombarded with water balloons.
"Oh my gosh?" I shrieked, "that's cold!"
All of them started to laugh. "Hey, that's not cool," I said standing up.
"Don't leave," Joey said.
"I'm not," I said and picked up the pieces of balloon that were all over the water.
"Jen, truth or dare," Dani said.
"Truth," I said.
"Have you ever been in love?" she asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Well, elaborate," she said.
"The last time I got my heart broken and I don't like to talk about it," I said.
"Your turn, pick the next victim," she said, changing the subject.
"Joey, truth or dare?" I asked.
"Dare," he said.
"I'm really bad at this game," I said.
"No kidding," Chris said, "you once dared me to ask your mom where the bathroom was."
"I know, I know. Can you think of anything," I asked.
He looked at Joey and smiled innocently, "Sure." He made his way over to me, his body pressed up against mine. I closed my eyes as he whispered in my ear, "Tell him to get his video camera and spy on Lance and Audry."
My eyes abruptly opened and I stared at him in shock, "No, I can't."
He just gave me a look and said, "Sure you can."
"Fine. Joey, get your video camera and spy on Lance and Audry," I said.
Chris, Dani, and JC started to laugh as soon as I said that.
"No..no..I can't...No," he stuttered.
They all started to laugh harder at Joey's embarrassment.
"Chris, your perverted," Dani said.
"What? Me? No way," he said.
"Well, I guess you don't have to," I began but JC interrupted me.
"Yeah you still do, a dare is a dare," JC said laughing.
"Fine," Joey said.
A half an hour later, Joey returned with his video camera.
"Did you get it?" JC asked.
"Yeah," Joey said laughing.
Chris and JC got out of the pool and Joey showed them what all he got on camera. "God Joey, where were you?" JC asked.
"You don't want to know," he said.
"I'm tired. I'm gonna go to bed, goodnight," Dani said and got out of the pool. She grabbed her stuff and left.
I looked over at the guys and they were still watching it. "Turn that off, give them some privacy," I said.
Chris looked at me and said, "Where's Dani?"
"She went to bed," I said.
"Oh," he said.
"I think I'm going to go to bed also, it was nice meeting you Jen," JC said.
"It was nice to meet you too," I said. He left and Joey soon followed.
"So, I guess its just us," Chris said and walked over to the side of the pool and bent down.
"Yeah," I said. He was looking at something at the other end of the pool so I grabbed his hand and pulled him in.
When he submerged hid head out of the water, he grabbed me and pushed me under. "That wasn't nice," I said after I came back up.
"Oh yeah, you did it to me," he said, coming closer to me.
"So, I'm allowed," I stated.
"And why is that?" he asked.
"Because I'm a girl," I declared.
"Oh," he said pushed some of the hair out of my face. He was leaning in to kiss me, but I broke away.
"I think I should get going," I said, looking down at the water.
He put a finger under my chin and gently lifted my face so I was eye level with him. He looked into my eyes and said, "Okay."
We got out of the pool and dried off. I pulled off the tee shirt and rinsed it out. He looked over at me and said, "I still remember when you got that tattoo."
"Me too," I said smiling. I wrapped the towel around my body.
"You ready?" he asked.
"Yeah," I said an we headed to the door.
As soon as he opened the door, the cold air rushed in and hit us. We walked over to the elevator and got in. We went up to level three and we walked to his room. He quietly opened the door because Dani was sleeping. I grabbed my purse and walked into the bathroom.
I quickly changed and hung the bathing suit up on the bathtub. When I walked out, Chris was standing there, now dressed, and said, "Are you leaving now?"
"Yes," I said.
"Okay, I'll walk you to your car," he said as we walked out the door.
"I'm really glad I saw you again," Chris admitted as we walked down the hall and into the elevator.
"Me too, I mean, if we wouldn't have, I might not have even remembered you," I said.
As the door to the elevator opened, he grabbed my hand and we walked out of the hotel.
We walked to my car and he said, "I'm coming back the beginning of October for the Autumn Leaf Festival up in Clarion. Will you be there for me?"
"Yes," I said smiling.
"Good," he said, also smiling. He moved closer to me and I could feel the heat from his body hitting mine. He leaned in and kissed me softly. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes. He leaned in and kissed me again and again. I opened my mouth and let his tongue come in and feel mine. His hands roamed my body and went up my shirt. His kisses went down and he began to lightly suck on my neck.
Then, all of a sudden a picture of Dani entered my mind. "No, wait, stop," I said, pushing Chris's hands out of my shirt.
He soon realized what he was doing and said, "I'm so sorry Jen. I didn't mean to. I'm really, really sorry."
"It's okay," I said.
"No, it's not. I really am, I hope this doesn't hurt our friendship," he said.
"No, it doesn't," I said.
"So, are you still going to come to Clarion?" he asked.
"Of course I still am. Nothing can stop me from seeing you," I said.
"Okay, I'll call you," he said and kissed me, but this time on the cheek.
"Bye," I said and watched him walked away.
I unlocked my car door and got in. Now I know for sure that I love him. I slowly turned the car on and put it into drive.
On the drive home, all I could think about was those kisses, his hands, his body. I smiled to myself, but it quickly turned into a frown. What if Dani finds out? She'll hate me forever. Then I thought, what if Chris had done this before? What if I'm just a game? If I ever go out with him, will he do this to me?
When I got into the apartment, it was very late and I had work the next day. I decided to call in and tell them I'm sick. I set my purse on the table and walked into my bedroom. I changed into my nightgown and went to bed. Yet, while I laid in bed, all I could think of was Chris. I smiled at the thought.
