Alexis sat at her vanity, peering into the mirror, smoothing a brush through her deep blonde hair. She sighed and smiled at the feel of his arms wrapping around her. She couldn't help but smile every time she felt JC close to her. He was inside of her in every sense of the word. He filled her heart and her soul, and he was never afraid to express it.
"Love you, baby doll," he kissed her cheek gently, nuzzling his face into her neck, and Alexis couldn't help but giggle.
"Me, too, angel," Alexis turned to place her hand on the side of JC's face. She found his eyes. So many times she wanted to express her total love for him, but she was scared....hesitant after so many heartbreaks. She didn't want to lose her heart and have it broken one more time.

"What is it?" JC's eyes gazed deep into Alexis's. He always knew when something was waying heavily on her mind.
"Nothing," she smiled softly, getting up and climbing into bed, "Come on," she patted the bed beside her, waiting for her boyfriend of one year to join her.
He slid between the sheets and Alexis felt his arms once again wrap around her. She always felt so safe in his arms. It was a security that she had never before felt in her life, a knowingness that there, in that moment, nothing could ever hurt her. JC wouldn't allow it.
She could feel his breath on her back, and JC gently ran his hands through her hair. He pulled her close to him, and she closed her eyes.

Thoughts of Alexis's first meeting with JC, every moment they shared rushed through her mind, there safe in his arms. Before she knew it, her mind brought her to a contented sleep.
JC awoke the next morning, the sun shining just through the blinds to cast a warm morning light on Alexis's face. He grinned, kissing her forehead softly.
"Morning, baby," he whispered, quietly slipping out of the room.

"JC!" Alexis gasped in amazement as she walked into the kitchen, hair a mess from sleeping, pajamas all wrinkled.
"Alexis!" he mocked her, putting his arms tight around her waist, "Looking pretty cute there," he joked pointing to her hair.
"Oh well," Alexis huffed playfully, putting on a pouty face.
"Awww," JC could never resist her, "You look beautiful, baby, and look," JC took his hands and ran them wildly through his hair, Alexis giggling all the while, "Now I'm messy, too," he winked.
She wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace and looked around the kitchen, "What is all of this?" she raised her eyebrows with a smirk.
"Well," JC walked over to a tray that he had prepared, looking over at his baby, sighing playfully, "Suppossed to be breakfast in bed."
"Oh," another pouty face played on Alexis's face, "I messed up your surprise," I'm sorry, she giggled. Alexis walked over to the sliding glass doors, watching the waves crash on the shore.
"It's okay, sweetheart. We'll eat here," JC spoke softly as he prepped the table for the romantic breakfast that he had planned. He set the table, placing a single rose in a glass vase in the center of the table.
Alexis kept her focus on the ocean, her love for JC stronger than ever.

"JC," Alexis called to him, not turning around, just reaching out her hand. He took to it immediately, and then came from behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, placing his head on her shoulder.
"What baby?" he said near a whisper. She felt her eyes tear and she turned to look at him, taking his face in her hands. She saw the worried look on his face and she placed a kiss on his nose to make him giggle, "What is it, baby?"
She loved it when he called her that, and a tear slowly fell down her cheek, "I love you so much. I love you with all my heart," Alexis whispered and then pulled JC close to her.
He held her tight, his stomach in knots. She had never once said the words before. It was always, "Me too" or "Ditto" but never "I love you."
"I love you, too, Alexis," he felt the tears sting his eyes and he held them back, "I love you, too," he repeated, swaying her gently back and forth, "Dance with me," he whispered. He let go of Alexis and walked over to the radio that was in the kitchen, turning the music on very low.
Alexis smiled, tears of joy stained her face.
"None of these," he kissed her tears, "None of these," he looked from her eyes to her lips and back to her eyes. JC placed a slow, soft kiss on her lips.
"I love you," she repeated, finally being able to say the words that she knew JC was desperate to her. He beamed at her.

Taking Alexis's face in his hands as she did to him just before, he just stared into her eyes, "I always knew you did, baby," he bit his lip, looking down before looking back to her eyes. "I just needed to hear you say it," he hugged her tightly.
"I know," she ran her hands through his hair, hugging him tight, "I know."
The two danced slowly in each other arms, happy, content....and never more deeply in love.
