MEMORIAL SERVICE
FOR
SISTER
SHARON BLACK WOLF KRAFT

AHO! We come together today
to remember our beloved Sister,
Sharon Black Wolf Kraft.
One of our Native elders from long ago said,
"They are not dead who live in the hearts
they leave behind."
We also are comforted by the words
of another wise one who says to us,
"There is no death,
only a change of worlds."
Let us send smoke up together
as we speak from our hearts,
"Donadogohi" (Let us see each other again).
We send smoke with the words,
"Ai SV NV Wa do hi ya do"
(Walk in Peace) our Beloved Sister.
May each relative that honors our Sister
by being here through this written word
and through sending smoke
also find peace. HO! Moderator ILBP

THE FORGOTTEN NATIVE:

Written in honor of my
VERY BELOVED Sister
BLACK WOLF by ILBP(Moderator):
***As we journey here on Mother Earth,
we forget those who lie
under her blanketed ground.
The forgotten skeletons of our Ancestors
don't shout at us as we step
so carelessly with no heed for their being.
We are so callous as we walk
on the very spot
our Ancestors are at.
Our footsteps on their skeletal remains
brings no memory forth.
***The Forgotten One,
whose spilled blood cries up
if only we would hear.
But How can WE?
Our ears are to full
of the hum of industry.
We do not see the visions
of the forgotten ones
because our eyes are tightly shut.
We have forgotten our purpose
here on the Red Path.
We are locked into our own little box.
***The unreasoning mind says,
"Inside this box is the only place
the individual is surely safe.
There is no need to reach out
to our Brother or Sister.
Only "my" truth is real."
We see neither
our Relatives on the Red Path
or the Ancestors on the Blue Path.
Locked so deeply within our "Self Box"
no other do we heed.
We allow ourselves to remember
and tell the story
of the physical facts
of our Ancestors and our Relatives.
It is from their Spirit
-the ESSENCE of ALL THAT IS we flee-
We Cannot speak of Spirit.
We say we cannot recall
the Truths of our Ancestors.
In fear, we tell lies.
We cling to the box of illusion.
At a point,
we try to lie to self
so that we may keep safe
the illusion of the box.
***Our hearts are hardened.
We try to muffle
the Native drum
that is our heartbeat itself.
Our Spirits keep the record
of ALL that IS.
If we would listen,
it would tell us what has been before us
and what will come after us.
Stiffled in the box,
our Spirit lies dormant
in the dark confines
of our closeted hearts.
Soon, we are the walking dead.
We have forgotten our Ancestors
and removed ourselves from our relatives.
***Then, a seed is dropped.
Most of us are so absorbed
into our boxes,
we don't recognize this entity
of budding Love.
But as we witness the growth
of one who is so genuine,
we begin to remember.
So it is our Sister Black Wolf,
YOUR life was a witness to truth,
not always pretty but straight and accurate
as the arrow.
Through your story here,
you opened our shut fast eyes,
ears and hearts.
As we remember you, Today,
we remember ALL THAT IS.
***We hear your voice speak in the wind,
"The blanket that wraps all Spirits
is a four letter word."
We smile at your tenacious humor.
Our beings burst out
of their self confined boxes
as we realize that Love
is the blanket of our Ancestors
and Relatives Spirits.
"Where there is Love,
there is Life."
We on Red Path
are not separated from Blue Path.
The illusion of the box is gone.
We can behold this wonder.
As these truths come to us,
as we remember the forgotten ones
and quit trying to forget who we are,
we are freed.
***Our heart felt steps on the Red Path
echoes with the love of our Ancestors.
Out of the old way of darkness,
out of the boxes of disillusionment,
comes the new way,
the new steps.
We see a new vision
of our Sister Black Wolf.
Through the story
of your life and death,
we realize that each precious Spirit
is part of our new heart filled lifes.
We see the truths that we are loved
beyond all LOVE.
Our Ancestors bless us with daily love
not in a forgotten way
but in the "knowing" way.
No longer do we struggle
on the Red Path.
Our Blue Path Ancestors know us by name.
They know when we sleep and when we awake.
In our hearts we hear their words.
We see with new eyes
Visions and Dreams of a Gentle Love.
As we journey,
we are granted the blessing
of bringing "HOME" to us.
Then, one day, our Ancestors come to us
and guard our final journey
to our Home Lands.
***While we are here,
we remember that all things we touch,
each action we take,
each word we speak,
the beauty we behold
is shared
with Red and Blue Path loved ones.
We hear clearly
the voices on the wind.
We no longer hear the lie of the box
that tries to tell us it is more painful
to remember all our loved ones.
Our hearts are healed by the love
of those on the Blue Path.
We are given Gardens of Spiritual delight.
Our bodies become devoted
not to the slavery of the box>
but to the freedom of the Spirit Way.
In the Spirit Way,
we see clearly our beloved Black Wolf
joining us today.
She is rejoicing in songs of Love.
Her Spirit is uplifted
as she sees so many who re-member.
Both the Red and Blue Path
is singing Love to her.
***Today, we witness a miracle.
Red and Blue Path are joined as ONE
in our love for our Sister Black Wolf.
We stand on Holy Ground as we share our Love.
Together, the Red and Blue Path
the ALL THAT IS
send smoke in honor
of our Beloved Sister, Black Wolf.
"Ai SV NV Wa do hi ya do."
You remain a part of us
and no more are there forgotten ones...
for we are the ALL THAT IS.
We thank you for walking with us,
our Sister Black Wolf.
HO!

Brother Wolf John sends this in honor of BLACK WOLF:
Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry on a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the worlds we know
Up where the clear winds blow.

BLACK WOLF'S Sister "SANDY"
Little Maid of the Moon
"Kozeekat";"Dream Walker Woman
speaks in Honor of BLACK WOLF:
My Sister Sharon called herself Black Wolf Sister
when she accepted and embraced
her Native American ancestry and heritage.
It gave her peace.
It gave her harmony!
And It gave her life!
***Sharon had the most beautiful emerald eyes
that twinkled and glowed
when she talked to those of us who loved her and knew her!
***Her laughter was infectious!
When she started laughing,
you could not help but laugh along with her,
the more she laughed, the more you would laugh.
Oh, how I loved to hear her laugh!
***Black Wolf was caring,
giving, kind and compassionate.
Her heart was as big as all outdoors.
She helped anyone she could
with what limited resources she had.
And when she loved,
she loved completely and totally!
There was no halfway measures with my Baby Sister!
***Her lifepath was a hard one!
Those who should have loved her the most,
rejected her from the day she was born
to the day she passed on to a better world.
***I found my baby Sister,
after many years of searching.
We found each other in the Spring of 2000.
We had the same birth Father,
but different Birth Mothers we discovered.
We were astonished that we looked like identical twins.
From Day One we could finish each others thoughts.
Just like Twins.
Even our children
greatly resembled one another.
What a joy it was
to find each other.
Our blood bonds as well as our Spiritual bonds
made us closer than most Sisters,
even identical twins.
We were at one with each other.
***Now she is walking the blue path.
And even though she is no longer here
with us in a physical body,
Sharon/Black Wolf Sister is with us more now
than she was in her earthly life!
She is able to carry on,
more fully and freely the work
she so much wanted to do
while here on Earth....
helping others and giving love!
NOW ***I am angry Lil Black Wolf Sister,
that you chose to leave us
who love you so much, to walk the Blue Path!
Boy! Am I going to give you a tongue-lashing
when I meet you on tahe Blue Path!
Then, I am going to turn you over my knee
and I am going to apply the hand of knowledge
to your seat of learning!
How dare you leave us!
We need you just as much as you needed us!
You should have warned us in some way
that you were ready
to go on to be with our ancestors
in the valley of many tipis!
***We hurt my Little Wolf Cub Sister!
WE HURT!
Yes, we know that you are
where you can live
without pain,heartache and sorrow
and for that we are joyful.
We know that you are no longer bound
to that wheelchair,
unable to walk and for that we are Joyful.
***We know that you are far beyond
the reaches of that bureaucratic woman
who had harassed and tortured you so much
when you were here on our side
and for that we are Joyful!
But we still hurt!
***We know that you are beyond
the reach of a daughter
who physically abused you many times
and had broken your heart countless times
and for that we are Joyful
you are away from that!
But we still hurt!
*****We know that you are in a world
that has no sorrow,
no disease,no tears,no pain,no imperfections
and for that we are Joyful!
We know all that,
but, we still hurt
because we miss you so much!
******We hurt because we had so very little time with you!
******We hurt because we did not or were unable
to say and do all the things
that we had planned to do with you and for you!
Tears of Grief Pour from our Eyes!
*****Sharon, at least we got to tell you
many times that we Love You
and that you mean so very much to US!
We will be joining with you soon,
For there is no time there on the other side.
What a Happy Celebration we will have
when you greet us with open arms,
and all our loved ones who have gone on before
standing right beside you!
Bonfires will be lit
The drums will be pounding!
And we will all be dancing
and singing around the bonfire,
as well as feasting and rejoicing
as our ancestors did when they walked the Red Path!
******The Buffalo;
the Wolves and Bears;
the Mountain Lions;
the Eagles and the Hawks;
the Turtles and the Rabbits;
the Fish of the Sea
and the Whales and Dolphins;
all manner of our animal
Brothers and Sisters
will be there too,
to celebrate with us,
as they did with you
when you returned
to the land of many tipi's.
What a joyful day that will be!
******Thank you my darling Sister
for being there for us, for allowing us
to share in your life!
******Thank you Baby Sister for loving us
and allowing us to love you so much!
******This Memorial we are holding for you
is not just for you alone,
but for all of us
who know and love you so much!
We could not be there
at your bedside
while you laid there in a coma;
nor were we there beside you
when you took your last earthly breaths;
nor were we there
when you were taken
to the Funeral Home to rest
before you were cremated
because we were so far away
and finances and distances prevented us
from doing so.
We Hurt because we could not be there.
But we are still together in this life.
YOU, ME, IRIS, DON,TOM,RENEE
and SO MANY OTHERS!
DEATH CANNOT SEPARATE US
AND IT NEVER WILL!

GOOD-BYE,
DARLING LITTLE BLACK WOLF SISTER,
BLOOD OF MY BLOOD,
HEART OF MY HEART,
SOUL OF MY SOUL!
WE SHALL SOON MEET AGAIN!
I LOVE YOU!

BLACK WOLF'S Beloved Golden Hawk
speaks through poetry in honor of BLACK WOLF:
a poem by BLACK WOLF

GONE FISHING
*****I see high fashion models, skinny as a rail.
Did that shut-off notice come in today's mail?
*****I see fit and trim astronauts dancing in space.
If I eat one more eclair, will I get pimples on my face?
*****I see neat little old grannies in daring sky-dives.
*****Just one more late repairman will give me a case of the hives!
*****I see rich and elegant movie stars acting like fools.
I could fix my washer if I had the right tools.
*****I see stories of child geniuses written in magazines.
If my kid brings home one more F from school, I'm gonna scream.
*****I see where the government is raising our taxes again.
That pot roast should be done cooking in an hour, and then...
*****I've seen enough!!
I'm going fishing!!

life has been a long struggle
yet you survived thru the years
i wish i could have been there
to whisper encouragement in your ears
so slip into the shelter of my arms
and let me hug away your fears
let me take your face into my hands
and i shall kiss away your tears

As i look at the lines on your face
i can see the pain-shadow in your eye
when i listen to your dulcet voice
i can hear the tears in your sigh
now is the time to escape your cocoon
its time you learned to fly
break loose the shackles of your past
spread your wings and seek the sky

Words from Golden Hawk:
I found myself contemplating the events
of the season and of the last year,
I guess for many this time of the year
has mixed blessings,
both as a time of hope
and joy and a time of sadness.
A time when we celebrate
with Those around us,
and a time when we remember
those no longer with us.
I lost a very dear friend
earlier this year,
and was examining
the empty space in my heart,
where she had taken part of it with her,
when I discovered something magic.
It wasn't really empty!!
I was so busy thinking of myself
and my loss,
and that she had taken part of me with her,
that I had failed to notice the truth,
I also had a gain,
yes, a gain,
for when she took a piece of MY heart,
she had left behind a piece of hers
to fill the gap,
and as I explored other empty spaces
I found them all filled,
for all those I had loved
and been loved by
had done the same,
they had not Taken from me
any part of my heart,
but had instead exchanged
a piece of theirs for a piece of mine,
then it dawned on me,
that as long as I had a piece of them
in my heart
they weren't TRULY gone,
and I wasn't truly alone
and as long as I cared for them in my heart
They lived on,
and that the more hearts I touched,
the longer I would live on as well,
and every piece of my heart
I gave away would hold a small part of those
who already share my heart.

BLACK WOLF said of all Native Tribes,
she felt closest to the Navajo.
Here in her honor is a Navajo poem:
In beauty may I walk,
With beauty before me may I walk,
with beauty below me may I walk,
with beauty all around me may I walk;
In beauty may my path be finished,
In beauty may my path be finished.

OUR BELOVED CHIEF RED ELK
SPEAKS
IN HONOR OF BLACK WOLF:
In the spirit,
I know Black Wolf walked a good path
and I know that now she is a strong spirit helper
to those who need her presence.
The emptiness that tears the heart
out of those closest to her
can be filled only by the knowning
that Black Wolf is fulfilling her path even now.
Life is all about perception.
To me there is no Death
only a Re-birth.
Life in the flesh is limited
and we know that we shall not
be in this state for long.
It is hard for us
to let go and wait for the joyful reunion
of our loved ones who have passed on before us.
But let us remember
that they are not gone,
for they have only changed worlds.
If it were not for those who live
on the other side
we would be left in a hopeless mess.
I count every day
on my beloved ones living on the other side
to help me with the troubles of this life.
And there are many troubles ahead for us
as any one who has lived here on earth knows.
Only on earth
can we experience loss.
Loss of wages, loss of pets,
loss of friends and family
but the real truth is that nothing here really matters
for this is all just a dream
and those who have passed over
have awakened into the pure love of God.
How happy are we when we know
that we do not have to let them go
for now they live in our hearts
and are with us all the time
saving us from all kinds of horrible disasters.
They make our lives the happy experiences
that they can be when we only acknowldege
that our loved ones have become our spirit helpers
who walk and talk with us on a daily bases.
When we are alone it is our spirit helpers
who comfort our hearts.
When we listen
they will speak.
When we wake
in the night feeling cold and lonely
we need only to get a hot cup of coffee
and sit and talk to them.
In time we shall develop a relationship
with our spirit helpers
just as strong as when they lived
in the bodies of this dream state.
Love and blessings to all,
Chief Red Elk

BLACK WOLF'S BROTHER SILVER CLOUD
speaks in BLACK WOLF'S honor:

MY TRIBUTE TO BLACK WOLF
Donald W Camden
I met Black Wolf the same time
I met my wife Sandy (her sister Little Maid of the Moon)
while playing Ali Baba Slots
on pogo.com in April of 2000.
What I remember most
about my sister-in-law
is that she is just mischievious
and full of laughter
as my wife is.
I remember one night,
Sharon and I were whispering in chat.
Boy! Did she really grate on my nerves!
She was interrogating me
as to my feelings about Sandy/Kozeekat/Lilmaidenmoon.
She frustrated me so much that I forgot to whisper
and shouted for all the Modern Maturity Room
and our Roomies to hear ...
"HELL YES I LOVE HER,
WANT HER, AND WANT TO MARRY HER!!!" ...
since then, looking back over it, it was pretty darn funny!
If it were not for Black Wolf,
Sandy and I would not
be together now as husband and wife!
I doubt that I would have
gathered up the courage
for a long time to declare my love for Sandy!
Being one of six sons in the Camden Family,
I had always wanted a sister.
Sharon became the sister
that I had always wanted.
I think that we were just as close,
if not closer,
than most brothers and sisters.
Black Wolf could be a most aggravating woman, though.
She had nagging honed down
to a fine art! ... lol!
She would nag me
just as much as Sandy does.
Actually, she would nag me more
than my dear wife does.
There were times I wanted to kick her
right in the patootie!
For instance, when something went wrong
with her computer,
she would call me for help.
I would get on our computer,
and I would try to walk her
through the procedures step by step.
But, when I got her to steps 2 or 3,
she was already off
on step six or seven
on another procedure,
therefore, confusing both her and me.
Or, she would start talking
about the love of her life, Golden Hawk!
What would have taken minutes to complete
in order to correct whatever the problem was,
took hours and hours and hours ...
so on and so forth.
Get my drift?
One day she sent me some pictures of herself.
I thought it was a joke.
You see, I thought she was sending me
pictures of Sandy
instead of herself.
I even sent her a message
thanking her for the pictures of Sandy.
She replied: "What pictures of Sandy?
I don't have any
of my sister yet!
Those pics I sent you are of me!".
I was flabbergasted!
If I didn't know better,
I can swear that they were identical twins ...
but Sandy is the elder sister
by three years.
Over the years,
I have gotten to know Black Wolf.
She is an intelligent,
loving, caring, compassionate, giving woman.
But she is also pretty darn quirky!
Many times she cried over the fact
that she was not able to help people
in the ways she so very much wanted to.
Kozeekat and I (Silver Cloud)
had to keep pushing the fact
that she was helping people
in the way
that Wakan Tanka wanted her to.
Her greatest desire
was to become
(in her words) a "Secret Santa",
helping deprived families
during the holiday seasons anonymously,
especially children.
She also wanted to be healthy enough
so that she could go
to the pediatrics intensive care unit
and be a surrogate granny,
holding those babies in her arms,
sing to them while rocking
in a rocking chair.
She loved babies
and her heart went out to those babies
who were born
addicted to crack or alcohol,
as well as the other babies
who had some kind
of disease of deformity!
Most of all,
she adored ...
absolutely, totally, completely, loved and adored
... her two grandsons.
To her, the sun rose and shone
on both of them.
She continually bragged about them
and the latest little thing
they had done,
their first words,
their first steps,
and the mischief they got into!
My sister-in-law,
despite the physical pain
she was in,
was a courageous warrior.
When Sharon Cole
of the Jonesboro Housing Administration
pulled her gestapo tactics on Black Wolf,
Black Wolf always fought back
through the courts and always won!
Ms. Cole and her shyster lawyer
always left the courtroom
with their tails between their legs,
especially when Sharon proved that the extra addendums
to the HUD lease were illegal.
The federal government is now
(from the information that sis gave Sandy and me)
investigating Ms. Cole.
The wheels of justice grind slowly,
but they grind thoroughly,
and in due time,
Ms. Cole will get her comeuppance!
Like my wife,
I clearly remember
those great big green eyes of hers..
laughing eyes, I call them.
And speaking of laughing,
when she and Sandy
would get their heads together
on Yahoo Instant Messenger
using the voice and webcam,
I knew I was in for a good ribbing.
She had a good honest laugh!
But when she did her "witches cackle",
that was when I would head
for the hills ... lol ...
because I knew, I just knew
she was up to some mischief!
Black Wolf loved with her whole heart!
And when she loved you,
you knew that you
were loved completely and totally!
She was always totally honest
with her feelings.
If she loved you,
she loved you ...
but if she didn't like you,
she would make it clear
that she didn't like you!
She was also very protective
of her big sister,
as well as any one else
that she cared about!
If you so much as say one wrong word
to her about anyone she loved
she would go after you
with fangs bared
and with carefully selected
words as claws,
would tear you apart. She had a hot temper
when it came to those
who abused her loved ones!
Black Wolf was also very forgiving
of those who had hurt her
or any one that she loved.
She would then place the abuser
in the hands of the Creator!
Black Wolf was also
her sister Sandy's inspiration
whenever Sandy was bitten
by the Muse of Music and Poetry.
She always encouraged Sandy
to keep on writing.
She encouraged Sandy
to have her own website!
Whenever Sandy came down
with writer's block
while writing one of her story poems,
Sandy would call Sharon
and they would go over the poem,
exchanging ideas and visions
as to where that story-poem would go.
When someone was down in the dumps
and needed Black Wolf,
my sister-in-law inspired them to go on,
that their life or situation
was not as bleak it seemed to be!
Black Wolf was there for me
while my own wife, her sister,
was in the hospital last May
in a comatose state.
She encouraged me
to have faith.
She notified everyone in Sandy's address book
to tell them that Sandy
was close to dying and to pray for her;
and kept everyone updated
as to Sandy's progress.
Even though she was down in the dumps
over her sister's illness,
she would not let go of the hope
that Sandy would choose to come back
and walk the Red Path
(Rainbow Path as Sandy calls it)
with us once more!
Time and time again
Sharon told me
that she was going to go where Sandy was
and drag her back, kicking and screaming
to our earthly world.
And by gollys,
I think that is exactly
what she did.
Black Wolf, since then,
has told us many times
that if her sister decided to travel onward
on the Blue Path,
that she would do something
so that she could join her sister.
She said she would do the same thing
if Native Little Bird/Rainbow Bird
stepped on the Blue Path as well.
Her sister and her adopted sister
was all that she really had to live for.
They are her true sisters
and family in her mind.
They made her feel loved,
accepted and welcomed.
They gave her strength.
I honestly believe that Black Wolf
took the Blue Path
so that if anything happened to both
of her sisters,
she would not be left behind.
These three sisters, wolf pups all
(see Little Birds dream on RB_Path Digest #147)
are inseparable and have been inseparable
throughout the ages and their various incarnations.
Not even the barrier between the Red Path
and the Blue/Rainbow Path
can separate them.
Little Bird/Little Rainbow Bird/Pathfinder
and my wife,
Little Maid of the Moon/Dream Walker Woman,
have important work assigned to them
while they walk this red path.
Black Wolf knew it.
I also believe, deep down in my heart,
that Black Wolf took the place of both of her sisters
to give them more time
to complete that which must be completed.
Both of them
(and Sandy won't admit it but I know)
were very, very sick.
Baby sister,
when Sandy and I step upon the Blue Path together,
and you greet us with welcoming arms,
I am going to hold you down
so that your Big Kat Sis
can whale the tar out of your backside ...
and don't think for one minute
that you will be able
to outrun either of us ...
we will be in just as perfect health
as you are now!
In my heart,
I can see you right now,
sticking that pink little tongue out at us,
and I hear you quite clearly saying
"NAH-NAH-NAH-NAH-NAAAAAH-NAH"!
When each of us who love you
and know you pass through that veil,
and you are there to welcome us,
you had better be bent over
presenting your tail
and accept the whopping
we're gonna give you!
Do you realize how much heartbreak
you have caused both of your sisters,
as well as me and Golden Hawk?
We are all right purty mad
at you right now!
But we still love you!
Yeah, our tears will dry up in time,
but there is still a part of us
who will cry
because you chose to leave us ...
we miss you that much!
If it weren't for the fact
that Wakan Tanka wants us
to finish our own walk
on our own Rainbow/Life Paths,
we would be there right beside you.
We love you little Black Wolf!
We miss your bright, sparkling green eyes,
your laughter and your love.
You are the sister I had always wanted.
You are just as much a part of me
as you are a part of Sandy!
Yes, often since your passing,
we have felt your prescence
and the love that you send to us.
We know when you are near!
And, yeah, you are still
just as much a nagger to me and Sandy
as you ever were.
We know that you are looking out for us
and Little Bird
and everyone else you know!
We will all be together
by and by
and believing in incarnation as we do,
we know that we will be together
in the physical in another life.
I look forward to that Day!
Until then, I bid you farewell,
and much love from all of us!
Love,
Your brother Don (Silver Cloud)

Sharon--our beloved cousin:
In the short time
that I got to know Sharon
through emails and by chatting on the phone,
I was certainly glad
that she was able to connect
to the Ednie side of the family.
It does us all good to know
where our roots are.
That is the very reason
that I take so much time to devote
to The Spellman Family website
through MyFamily.com.
I could tell through her emails
and our chats on the phone
that she was a woman
of love, passion, devotion, and commitment.
At the same time,
I learned of her
horrendous sufferings and afflictions
brought upon her both
by her physical/mental health
and those who on occasion tried to do her in.
I, too, mourn her passing
and not being able
to get to know her more personally;
however, we do know
that where she is now
she no longer has to suffer
the ills of this world
but has a new body
and a new spirit.
She as have many of those who have gone before us
can watch over us and be with us in spirit.
She is now able to meet all those Ednies
that she never met
and many of whom I have never met either
and will meet in due time.
I so much want to meet
my Grandfather Muir Ednie, father to my mother,
who has passed out of this world at the early age of 49
long before I was born.
I, also, long to see my Grandfather Spellman
who passed away the same summer before I was born.
There are so many
it will be fabulous reunion.
Now all we can do is pray
for those she has left behind
and pray that they will some day
find peace with themselves and with others.
Love, joy, peace, and the blessings of Our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ
forever and ever, Amen.
Marlin J. Spellman

Our Relative Patricia Cool
speaks in honor of BLACK WOLF:
My Name is Patricia Cool
and I live in Pendleton, Oregon.
I first met Sharon
through her loving sister Sandy.
Sandy only had praise
for Sharon
and always spoke
about how they found each other
on the internet,
and that some day wished
they could meet face to face.
*******Then my son started to make
a Dream catcher design clock.
I wrote to Sandy for advice
and she got in touch with Sharon
who wrote to us about things to do.
Lucky finished the clock
and we took pictures of it
and sent them to both Sandy and Sharon.
Sharon had lots of praise for Luckys work,
and on her Spirit walk with Sandy
she told her to tell Him
to keep up his art work
that some day he would be a great artist.
***** I remember Sharon
more by the loving words she would tell us
when Sandy was in the hospital
in critical condition.
Sharon was so good
to keep us posted on Sandy's progress.
And all the time she was in so much pain
over her sister being ill.
But she was a trooper
and kept us all informed.
***** Sharon was not one to complain
about herself to me,
but we did talk some about her
being in a wheelchair.
***** I for one will miss all my emails
I received from her.
She was always thinking about others
and ways to help them.
I know she is in no pain now
and waiting to see us all
in the other world.
We Love You Sharon

Our Sister Jax-Whiteowl-
speaks in honor of BLACK WOLF:
I am a stranger to you and your life.
I have traveled the path
you are now on, a long time ago.
Where you have gone
is a beautiful, peaceful, restful, exciting domain
where the Grandmothers await you with open arms.
Your pain and suffering
has been lifted from you,
giving you grace.
May you find happiness here,
learn from the Grandmothers
and take time to understand
the gifts they are bestowing upon you.
As with many spirits,
you may return to this earth,
in a different form from your previous,
and depart these gifts
to those who are open to the universe.
I do hope your trip
is as powerful as mine was.
I returned to be a caretaker/caregiver.
This has been my calling for 30 years.
My gift is sight and channeling
for spirits, lost or trapped,
to find the light.
Maybe one of these days,
we will meet,
I will look forward to that day.

Our Sister Eileen (T. Curran)
speaks in honor of BLACK WOLF:
I do understand that the Homegoing
of Our Sister Black Wolf was not celebrated.
I do not know the "story"
but I do know that there are
Gentle, Loving, Caring, Honorable,
Prayerful, Generous,Concerned and Committed
Brothers and Sisters who morn and weep
over the passing of this Gentle Woman.....
a child of The Creator and our Sister.
The Lord has promised a Place
for those who love him and keep his Commandments.
He has indeed prepared a Place
for our Sister...
a Place where the sound of the Turtle Dove will be heard.......
Look for me when I too,
please Lord, come into this Holy place....
We prayed for you a rosary
for you to receive the desires
of your heart.....
may Peace surround you with the Light
of the Morning Star.
When our daughter died.
We were forbidden to stay at her bedside
even though I am a registered nurse.....
As She "passed, she moved quickly past my left side.
Out of the corner of my eye
I saw her pass......
She spoke softly
but with Joy ,
"Oh, Mom, the colors!!!!!!!!!!" she said.
I wish you dear Sister
to be surrounded with every color
in the firmament.

In honor of BLACK WOLF
our Sister Ruby speaks in poetry:
REST WELL DEAR SHARON
By - Ruby Ketron - 2003
Copyright Pending

Some people are taken before we are ready,
God in His wisdom, took your sister this time,
Her light is still shining, although far away,
It shines on so brightly on Heaven's far shore.

He knew that your loved one was so full of pain,
So, He took her, to give her respite from it all,
Where she can move freely, without her chair,
Is now safe in Heaven, with those gone before.

Sharon looks down upon us, now from above,
Secure now in Heaven, God's love is so sure.
Her poor earthly body, now no longer needed,
Not tied to this earth, she flies there so free.

When God calls us home, we will see her there.
Her body and ours, will be whole with no pain,
We will have lots of time up in Heaven to share,
With our Lord, our loved ones, free we will be.

Our Relative Shelby
speaks in honor of BLACK WOLF:
I never had the pleasure
of meeting Sharon face to face
but I considered her a good cyber friend.
She used to send me a lot of jokes
and funny things that really helped
perk up my day many times.
She offered me genuine concern
when I had problems
and was always there
saying things that really helped.
I, in turn,
tried to return the favor
and sent her a lot of e-cards and up-beat messages.
I am appalled that there was no consideration given
of her life by her children.
A memorial is not about the death of a person
but of the life
and for these people
to whom she gave life
to have so little regard for hers
is unforgivable in my opinion.
I can't believe she is gone
and I am going to miss her
so very much.
REST IN COMPLETE PEACE, DEAR,
YOU HAVE EARNED IT!!

Our Sister Inez and our Brother Jeff
speak through poetry
in honor of BLACK WOLF:

The broken chain

We knew little that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,in death
we do the same.It broke our hearts
to lose you,you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you, the
day God called you home. You left us
peaceful memories,your love is still
our guide:and though we cannot see
you, you are always at our side. Our
family chain is broken,and nothing
seems the same: but as God calls
us one by one,the chain will link again.

Renee speaks in honor of BLACK WOLF:
Sharon was one of those rare pearls
you happen to meet
and never,ever forget.
We met in pogo and bingo,
we became sissies immediately.
We would tease each other
cause my middle name is Sharon.
Words are not enough
to describe the love and respect
I have for Sharon.
Where ever she is,
she is making friends like crazy
and giving the Crawford gal
some grief, so get her Shar.
I will never forget you
and I pray with all my heart
you are free of pain
and having a great time.
I know we shall meet again,
as a matter of fact
I am looking forward to it.
I love you very much,
later my dear friend, Sharon.
love you always, Renee
PS I know you are near me
and I won't disappoint you.

As we now close our Memorial Service,
let us set aside one action
that we can do for Black Wolf today...
maybe it is to give a tobacco offering,
maybe it is to sing a song,
maybe it is to light a candle of love,
maybe it is to adopt a Wolf.
Whatever it is,
let us join her in celebration
of ALL THAT IS
and rejoice that nothing
can ever separate the love
we share with our Sister Black Wolf.
The Aztec- American Indian says,
"It ended....his body changed to light,
A star that burns forever in the sky."
As we walk the ways of LOVE
we can look up and see the stars
and know no body can hold our Spirits....
we are only here for a short journey...
Until we return home,
let us continue to not grow tired
of fighting the good fight and actively seek
to be each others source of Strength and Joy.
Here is the link to a beautiful Native garden page link
for any who might wish to take a walk
in a garden and listen
to the sounds of the wind...
You will surely hear Black Wolf's voice there.
