I was in sixth grade and wasn't able to sleep in anymore so i got up and went upstairs to say goodbye to my dad. This was at about 6:00 AM. I said goodbye and got a drink and went back to my bed. I sat there for about 20 minutes. I didn't hear my dad leave so i went to see if he was still there. I got to the bottom of the stairs when i felt a chill, I looked up and saw two figures standing there. I slowly backed away and i saw their heads turn towards me. I ran into my parents room and jumped under the covers. We moved away from that house after several more experiences.

Dads Musical Ghost
When my dad was younger, he used to live in a house just a few blocks away from where we live now. It was a very large and very old white house. It even had a restaurant on the first floor that was operated by his family. One night when he was a teenager, he was returning home from a night out with his friends. Everyone was asleep so he went straight to his room without turning on the lights. As soon as he got into bed his guitar in the corner of the room started playing softly. He started laughing because he assumed it was his sister Mary who was always playing pranks on him. Realizing it wasn't her he froze, too scared to get out of bed. As the strumming got much louder it awoke my granny. In a fit of rage she came storming down the hall to scream at my dad for playing his guitar at 2:00 am. When she reached the doorway the guitar was still playing. She flipped on the lightswitch to find my dad in the bed, pale and shaking. She immediately looked to the corner of the room to find the guitar sitting in its usual spot against the wall. After she consoled my frightened dad, she checked on her two other daughters to find them sleeping soundly. As she was returning to her room she heard a lot of banging. She opened the door to find all her things being raked from her dresser violently. She had finally had enough, she knew she needed to get up early to open the restaurant so she scream at the top of her lungs "OK that's enough stop NOW!!" Just then everything stopped. After that nothing ever happened in that house again.......... at least not while they lived there. But my dad won't even go a few blocks away to ask the new tenants how they are doing.

Graveyard House
My husband and I and our two teenaged daughters moved to Kentucky..my sister found us a small house to rent while we looked for another..she then told us of one but said that everybody that lived there got divorced but we checked out the house and loved it...it was directly behind a cemetary. We had lived there about a year when I started hearing cabinet doors slamming downstairs in kitchen I would awaken my husband as it was always in middle of the night..he being too lazy to get up and see would say oh it is just one of the girls up and go back to sleep..but I would lie there and listen and never hear them come upstairs or bedroom doors shut or nothing. So one night the girls had spent night with friends and my husband was gone on camping fishing trip and I was home alone..well bout midnight those doors started slamming one after another..I got up knowing I was home all alone and went downstairs ..from the bottom of the steps you could look into the kitchen..and right before my eyes with nobody there doing it the cabinet doors right down the row opened bout halfway and then slammed shut. I hightailed it up those steps and jumped into bed...but did not feel afraid. After that I would start seeing a faint image of a woman in a long dress float thru the dining room into the kitchen...and each time I saw her she became clearer. Even some Navy Recruiters who came to our house said the hair stood up on the back of their necks and one saw her one night and I had not said anything to them nor anyone had. Finally one day I passed her ( the ghost lady ) in the ding room one day and she was just as clear as could be but I was rushing to do something and just said excuse me as I passed her without thinking what I was doing. I never saw her again. And by the way I did get divorced while living there after being there 8 yrs I ended a 21 YR marriage. But enjoyed my house and ghost .

The Claredon Avenue Haunting
The story I’m about to tell you happened to me directly and has forever
changed my view on the supernatural. I would like to state for the
record that I have always been a skeptical person who never believed in
anything that couldn’t be proven. Before my experience I didn’t believe
in ghosts and had never given the topic a second thought. Since then it
has been on my mind frequently.
This is my story.
The event in question occurred several years ago at my grandparents’
house. I was 19. I had been out with my friends and returned home
around 2:00 am. I retired to my bedroom on the second floor of the
house and got into bed. I had been lying there for two or three minutes
reflecting on the events of the evening when suddenly I heard the
muffled screaming of a woman coming from the basement. Almost
immediately the screaming began to slowly ascend the stairs and within a
minute had reached the first floor. It continued to ascend the stairs
and thirty seconds later had reached the second floor and was right
outside of my room. The screaming was very loud and was clearly that of
a woman. My bedroom door was closed and I could therefore see nothing.
The screaming continued outside of my room for approximately one minute
and then slowly began to descend the stairs into the basement just as it
had come. When it reached the basement the screaming ceased and the
house was silent. That is the end of my story.
I feel that in order for me to give an objective account of this
occurrence, it is important that I detail my own actions and opinions.
When I first heard the noise I recognized that it was coming from the
basement, and although it sounded like a woman screaming I immediately
disregarded this as being ridiculous. I started to try and rationalize
what I was hearing however my analysis ended rather abruptly when I
realized that the noise was getting closer. By the time it reached the
first floor it had become quite loud and being unable to think of any
rational explanation for such a noise, I became convinced that the ghost
of a woman was ascending the stairs of my grandparents house. I became
completely terrified and quickly sat up in bed, both so that I could
hear better, and so that I could run, if necessary. When it reached the
second floor and was outside my room every hair on my body was standing
on end and my hands were literally shaking with fear. I was too scared
to move and for that reason remained stationary until it returned to the
basement and the noise subsided. I stayed where I was for several
minutes waiting for the noise to return. When it didn’t, I got up,
turned on my light, and sat back down on my bed. Being wide-awake and
in no mood to sleep, I spent the next couple of hours lying in my bed
listening and thinking about what had happened. Eventually I fell
asleep and the next morning when I woke up my light was still on and I
was completely convinced that I had heard a ghost. I spent the entire
day gathering information and trying to figure out what I had heard.
The only other people in the house were my grandparents. My grandmother
is a sound sleeper and my grandfather is hard of hearing. They heard
nothing. They bought the house in 1966 and sold it in 2000. During
that time they never heard anything that even remotely resembles what I
described. My mother lived in the house for several years in her late
teens and never heard anything either. I myself lived in the house on
and off for years and had never heard anything before and have not heard
anything since.
I considered that maybe the pipes or something else in the house made
the noise, although I don’t think any pipe on earth could have made the
noise I heard. I dismissed this theory anyways because if the house did
make odd noises someone would have heard them in the past thirty years.
I also dismissed the wind because I have spent many windy nights in the
house and heard nothing. In the end I came to the conclusion that
there was no earthly explanation for what I heard and that what I
experienced must have been supernatural. It sounds crazy saying that
but I know what I heard, I will never forget it. I’m sure it was a
ghost.
In conclusion I would just like to state that all of my friends think I
was asleep and that the whole thing was a dream. I would like to touch
on this briefly. The first thing I would like to say is that I know I
was not asleep.
Here’s my case.
I had only been in bed for two or three minutes (less than five for
sure) and was lying on my back thinking. I have always had a difficult
time falling asleep, it usually takes me twenty or thirty minutes, and I
have never been able to sleep on my back. At the time I was making no
attempt to sleep, but was lying there thinking. Secondly, no matter how
real a dream seems you always wake up afterwards and that’s how you know
you were dreaming. I don’t think it’s possible to remember a dream
without waking up and realizing you were dreaming. If it is, it’s never
happened to me. If it had been a dream I would have woke up and said
“wow, that was one weird dream”. That never happened. I was awake.
Thirdly I turned the light on after the occurrence and it was still on
when I woke up in the morning. I know for a fact that I was awake.
That is my story and I swear to you that every word of it is the truth.
I don’t know if you will believe me, no one else does, but I swear it’s
the truth.

small family cemetary literaly on the very side of the rode,so when going
down that one lane street keep a keen lookout or youll run smack into
it.since then 10 or more of the douglass family has been laid to rest
here, all of the graves dating to the 1800,s. there used to be a huge two
story victorian house not scant yards from the cemetary, which fell to the
ground in the 1970's.story goes that one of the family dabbled in witchcraft
or some supernatural art of somekind and cursed the very ground on which the
family lived, including the cemetary.and on the event of his death a
huge, demonic raven was to gaurd the cemetary he was laid to rest in from
vandles, and all the surrounding land that the douglass' ownd in the

night in the mid 70's,my aunt and her friends hit a backroad and ended up at
the cemetary, here they parked the car and sat there talking and listing to
the radio when all of a sudden they all saw a little girl in a pink dress
walk across the road not to far in front of them and then vanish.scared out
of their wits that they actualy saw one of Bay Rvens ghosts she started the
car and got the crap outta there.in 1977 my mom and her friend decided to go
ghost hunting at the cemetary,so one night they drove down there, parked the
car,and got out.they were still standing in the road when out of no-where
came the distinct caw of a very large bird.spooked, they stood stiff as a
board, listing for anything else.hearing nothing else they ran off into the
cemetary and started snapping pictures, when all or a sudden my moms friend
stopped dead in her tracks and started freaking out.my mom looked around and
she to started fruiting out.there sitting on a low lying branch above them
sat a huge red ayed raven, needless to say they made tracks back to the car
and got outta there, quick! not in the so distant past a friend and i hit a
backroad and wound up the at the cemetary.we got out of the car and went into
the cemetary to look at all the old gravestones, for history's sake, and stayed
there for quite awhile, trying to read the old ,weatherd tombstones, when all
of a sudden the wind picked up,and it got unsesonably cold,to where we where
we were shivering, and at the same time,we both heard of in the wind a
scream,a definite scream.it was time to leave! whats weird is when we stepped
out of the cemetary it got warm again.as we made our way back down the road
my frind looked back through his rearview mirror and gasped''hey, dude, look
back at the cemetary!'' i did,and cought sight of a black bird that i couldnt

Ouija Board
I have just read a story by a woman called Brenda on this site. I wanted to share with her this, from the age of 12 i used to 'mess' with ouija boards, and i have had the feelings of beeing paralyzed so many times while i was drifting off to sleep. Often feeling i could not breath. Scared i'd try to call out for my Mom or Boyfriend, but no noise would come out, i would try and move but couldn't. Until i read your story i thought i'd been dreaming. The only thing to ever wake me from this "dream" was my dog, who would bark of howl! When i'd try to sleep again the same thing would happen. This is one of the worst feeling i can imagine. Ouija boards are not something to be messed with, they are not a game, i'm 21 now, we have moved away from this house, and luckly i don't have any problems here. I dont touch ouija now. Any one else get these feeling? I've had them for a long time, but they were always worse after doing a ouija board.

Ghost on the Wardrobe
This is a story my mother swears is true. She herself doesn't believe in ghosts. When she was a young girl she moved out of her mother's house to live with a young couple and their small daughter.
She hadn't been living there long when she noticed loud thumping noises which they had put down to the plumbing in the house. They had this checked out but there was no real explaination.
Even more strange the young daughter would sit in her parents bedroom and talk as if she were having a conversation looking at the top of the wardrobe, this would go on for long periods at a time.
