Scott Hall’s introduction kicked off the show. After a few moments if waiting in the ring, the lights went out. Then, familiar music hit the speakers as gold lights illuminated the arena, signaling the arrival of Goldust.

(1) Goldust defeated Scott Hall by pinfall in 7:11. Hall met Goldust in the aisle and the brawl began. Kevin Kelly reminded fans that Hall took out Dustin Rhodes at War Games, which must have driven Rhodes to lapse back into his alter-ego to extract revenge. The brawl was intense and went back and forth until Goldust blocked a side suplex from the middle turnbuckle with a lowblow and a major bulldog. One curtain call later and Hall was down for the count, giving his stalker the victory.

A video aired highlighting the history between former partners and current rivals Super Astro and World Cruiserweight Champion El Rey.

(2) Super Astro defeated World Cruiserweight Champion El Rey in a Ladder Match for the title in 9:49. The death-defying acrobatics in this match had the crowd on the edge of their seats. After El Rey dropped Super Astro with a Tornado DDT from halfway up the ladder, many thought the match was over. But Rey apparently tweaked his knee on the way down, and was very slow scaling the ladder. By the time he reached the top, Astro was able to charge the ladder and flip up the opposite side, snatching Rey with a huricanrana from the top of the ladder to the mat. Astro then scaled the rungs and grabbed the title belt to win the bout.

Kevin Kelly told fans that Z-Man will undergo minor knee surgery and return in about a month or two.

(3) The Hellraisers (w/ Spike Grey) DDQ The Samoan Gangsta Party in 5:55. The four men in this match never made it into the ring as Kimo and Samu attacked Malcolm and Ali on their way to the ring. The brawl spilled into the crowd and got fearsome, as Kimo actually threw a fan into Malcolm as Ali bludgeoned Samu with another fan’s crutch. Referee Dave Ramone called for the bell resulting in a double disqualification, a rare occurrence in the GWF.

Special guest interviewer for the evening Shelly Martinez spoke to the Millennium Rockers, who were eager to capitalize on their opportunity, and capture the World Tag Team Championships this Friday on Friday Night Fights.

Cameras caught up with the Samoan Gangsta Party and the Hellraisers, who were continuing their brawl throughout the locker room.

(4) Philadelphia Champion Cactus Jack defeated Hanzo in a Hardcore Match by pinfall in 11:21. This was a hard-hitting slugfest from the get-go. Hanzo managed to bloody Cactus by hitting him with a section of the guardrail about eight minutes into the fight. Soon after, the Hellraisers and the Samoan Gangsta Party brought their brawl back into the arena, and into the ring. Spike Grey got involved, as did Hanzo. In the confusion, Cactus managed to blast Hanzo in the back and face with a barbed wire bat, and then nailed the Japanese Death Match legend with his patented double-armed DDT on a chair for the win as a ton of officials came out to separate the brawl.

Physical Graffiti DDTed the bloody Cactus Jack on the concrete as he made his exit.

A video aired showing the evolution of the careers of ‘‘Jazzy’’ Jeff Hunter and his sister Lariat.

(5) ‘‘Jazzy’’ Jeff Hunter & Casey Fox defeated ‘‘Cowboy’’ Chris Mason & Lariat by pinfall in 9:03. The match began with Fox and Lariat, and when all was said and done, it would end with the two women as well. In between bells, all four put on a classic display of old-school grappling before tempers flared. Late in the bout, Mason was lowblowed by Fox and Jazzdropped by Hunter. Lariat managed to take control of Fox, only to be clotheslined almost out of her boots by her older brother. Fox hit a legdrop from the middle turnbuckle and covered Lariat to get the victory as the crowd showed their displeasure.

(6) Legend’s Champion Chavo Guerrero, Sr. defeated Tatanka and the Honky Tonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart) in a Three Way Dance in 7:59. Tatanka seemed poised to eliminate Honky at one point as he hoisted the only two-time holder of the Legend’s title for the End of the Trail. However, Jimmy Hart clocked Tatanka with his megaphone, but was unfortunately spotted by the referee Jeff Magee and Honky was disqualified at 7:34. The crafty champion Guerrero had been playing possum in the opposite corner and quickly nailed the groggy Tatanka with a Brainbuster and covered him to retain his title.

Dawn Marie was shown prepping World Tag Team Champions the Impact Players for their defense.

(6) The Midnight Express defeated the Extreme Express and the World Tag Team Champions the Impact Players (w/ Dawn Marie, Chris Jericho, and Jason) in a 3 Way Dance in 27:18. This match should be watched by everyone in the WWE to show them how tag team wrestling is done. The crowd favorites were the Extreme Express, but they were also the first to go. After Jason and Jericho became involved in a brawl, the Midnights capitalized and ‘‘Beautiful’’ Bobby Joseph pinned Lance Andrews after a spiked piledriver at 19:59. Jericho’s involvement would also play an important role in the match’s ending. As the Midnights brawled with the Impact Players, Jericho slid into the ring with Credible’s Singapore Cane but instead of helping his teammates, he nailed each of them in the head with the weapon! Another spiked piledriver later, and we had new tag team champions.

Shelly Martinez caught up with Chris Jericho as he ran out the door. He said that was payback for One Night Stand and then he left and jumped into a waiting car.

Legend’s Champion Chavo Guerrero, Sr. was shown celebrating in the back. He made an open challenge to anyone who wants a shot at his title for this week’s Championship Edition of Friday Night Fights.

A video aired about legends in women’s wrestling, including tributes to Sherri Martel and Woman, and segued into two of today’s best female competitors, Amy Dumas, and World Women’s Champion Heather Carter.

(7) World Women’s Champion Heather Carter defeated Amy Dumas by submission in 14:38. The match began as a classic wrestling encounter and evolved to include some intense high-flying action such as a moonsault by Dumas from the second rope to the floor as well as Carter hitting a picture-perfect 450 Splash. When neither woman could capitalize, it degenerated into an all-out brawl. After Dumas missed a moonsault, Carter worked on her opponent’s arm before locking her in the Katahajime. After an agonizing minute and a half, Dumas submitted.

Angel ran out and attacked Carter after the match, leaving her laying after a vicious roundhouse kick to the temple.

A video of World Heavyweight Champion PJ Plush’s career highlights aired.

The Tale of the Tape for the World Heavyweight title bout indicated that Devon Air had an advantage having been the tag team partner of both of his opponents at one time.

(8) World Heavyweight Champion PJ Plush defeated Devon Air and Merlin in a 3 Way Dance in 29:10. After a very intense brawl early in the bout, Air tried to powerbomb Merlin from the top rope, but Merlin countered with an Avada Kedavra (Alabama Slam) from the top and pinned Air after a 540 Splash at 21:21. Plush and Merlin continued to put on a clinic with neither man getting anywhere close to gaining the advantage. The match ended when Plush caught Merlin’s attempt for a Yakuza kick and snatched him up into a TKO for the duke.

Midsummer Night EXTREME

(1) Lance Andrews defeated Redd Dogg in a Dog Collar match in 7:23. Redd Dogg brutalized his opponent early, and dominated the entire match. Andrews was busted open and groggy when a masked man ran into the ring and waylaid Dogg with a nasty chairshot. The masked man and Andrews double-teamed Dogg and dragged him around to all four corners to get the very tainted win.

The Commish announced a last minute addition was made to the card, and it's happening next!

(2) Philadelphia Champion Merlin defeated Tommy Lynn by pinfall in 8:49. This was a back and forth battle. Merlin had seemingly gained the upper hand, when the masked man returned to the ring! He superkicked Merlin then tore off his mask, and it was Lance Andrews! Andrews and Lynn high-fived and began double teaming Merlin. Redd Dogg ran out and attacked both members of the reunited Extreme Express with his chain. Merlin got back into the action, and rolled Lynn up for the victory. All four men brawled their way to the back.

The Power Warriors guaranteed that they'd walk out of Williamsburg as the new World Tag Team Champions.

(3) Legend's Champion Honky Tonk Man defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan by pinfall in 5:42. Hacksaw knocked Honky to the floor with a shot from the 2X4, and as he went after the champion, Honky threw powder in his face, blinding him. The champion leveled the blinded Duggan with his guitar and picked up the victory.

(4) Buh Buh Ray & D-Von Dudley defeated Axl & Slash Dudley in 9:01. Buh Buh and D-Von dominated this match. All four Dudleys brawled through the crowd and all over the arena. Eventually, the action spilled outside, where Buh Buh and D-Von planted both Axl & Slash on the concrete with a pair of Dudley Death Drops. When Buh Buh & D-Von returned to the arena, the referee called for the bell, awarding them the victory.

The Plan with Dan the Man: Dan's guest tonight was Brutus. Brutus was pissed about not being a part of MNE, saying he can get more extreme than anyone else in the GWF. With that comment, the lights went out. When they came back on, Sabu was in the ring! Sabu threw a chair at Brutus, and they brawled to the back. The Dudleys came out and made a challenge to whoever won the World Tag Team title match tonight. They too were attacked when the Extreme Express ran out.

(5) The Power Warriors defeated World Tag Team Champions the FBI for the titles by pinfall in 11:27. This was a back and forth battle, with the two powerful teams trying to out-muscle each other. The end saw the Warriors nearly decapitate Chuck Palumbo with the Doomsday Device, allowing Doom to make the pin and win the titles.

The Warriors said they'd be glad to take on any team who wanted a shot at their titles.

(6) World Cruiserweight Champion Marty Jannetty defeated Wildfire in 2 straight falls in 24:57. The first fall didn't come until the sixteen minute mark when the champion countered a suplex with a cradle. Wildfire was vicious after that, blasting Jannetty with a chair and choking him with the wires at ringside. Wildfire dragged Jannetty into the ring to finish the job, but the champion countered a powerbomb with the Rockerdropper and got the pin to win the match in two straight falls!

As Jannetty walked to the back, Azrael burst through the curtain and left him laying with a DDT on the concrete.

The Commish announced GWF's next PPV as Helloween, eminating from Philadelphia on October 30th. A tournament will be held to determine who will meet the World Heavyweight Champion in the main event of that night.

(7) Enigma defeated World Women's Champion Nidia, Gail Kim, Andromeda, Angel, and Lariat in an Indecent Proposal match to win the title in 17:21. The male portion of the audience was deeply disappointed when the first elimination occurred without anyone losing a strip of clothing as Gail Kim pinned Lariat after a moonsault. Enigma and Kim double-teamed Andromeda, and had her down to her bra and thong before Angel made the save. Unfortunately for Angel, she met the same fate as Andromeda. However, the two of them rallied with the help of Nidia to strip down Enigma and Kim to their underwear. With the champion being the only fully clothed woman left, the other four women turned and stripped her of her gear. Then, to the delight of the crowd, Enigma tore off the champion's bra as Andromeda yanked off her thong, stripping her naked and eliminating her from the match! Andromeda's bra clasp broke after a powerbomb from Enigma, forcing her to continue the match topless! She did manage to schoolboy Kim and eliminate her to the surprise of everyone, but Kim was furious and retaliated by pulling off Andromeda's thong, again treating the crowd to another show. With only Angel and Enigma left, this began to resemble a normal match. However, when Angel couldn't pull her opponent down into a sunset flip, she instead pulled down her thong! The match continued, and finally ended when Enigma caught Angel coming off the ropes, flipped her into a Tombstone, and covered her for the win.

Justin Credible was shown getting ready for his match with Razorblade when Sabu ran in and attacked him! Credible was unconcious, and the match thrown out. The Commish announced that Sabu and Razorblade would join Team Extreme in War Games.

(8) War Games: Team Extreme (Cactus Jack, the Rocker, Razorblade, & Sabu) defeated Raven's Nest (Raven, Stevie Richards, & the Outcasts) in 25:43. This was a bloodfest from start to finish. One wall of the cage was broken after awhile, and the action spilled into the aisleway. As Razorblade and the Rocker brawled with the Outcasts and Stevie Richards, Sabu scaled the cage and dove off the top, crashing onto all five of the men in the aisle! Meanwhile, in the ring, Cactus Jack blocked an Evenflow attempt with a Samoan Drop, and followed that up with a piledriver and double-armed DDT. Cactus flipped Raven into the hangman with his head between the ropes, and applied the Mandible Claw, forcing Raven to submit and giving Team Extreme the win!

As Sabu recovered from his dive on the floor, Brutus ran out and chokeslammed him on the concrete!

(9) Z-Man defeated World Heavyweight Champion PJ Plush and Jazzy Jeff Hunter in a 3-Way Dance to win the title in 46:18. The first elimination came about 27 minutes into the match. Plush had Hunter locked in the Sharpshooter. Z-Man returned to the ring after being tossed out moments before, and borke the hold by locking the champion in the katahajime. Hunter got to his feet, and dropkicked his opponents, which sent Plush flying to the arena floor. Hunter hurt his knee executing the dropkick and was easy pickings for a Gore from Z-Man. Z-Man then locked in an anklelock with a leg grapevine to increase pressure on the knee, forcing Hunter to tap out. For the next twenty minutes, Plush and Z-Man would duke it out, going toe to toe with holds, reversals, punches, and kicks. When at ringside, Plush even nailed the challenger with an Asai moonsault! The end of the match came when Plush went for a superplex. Z-Man blocked it, and the two brawled on the top turnbuckle. Z-Man ducked a punch and hooked in the katahajime, and then hoisted the champion up for the Z-Bomb, his top rope powerbomb, to get the victory and the World Heavyweight Championship!
